He owned mountains in a northeastern state. A Director invited to his mansion for a leadership meeting, said he had a large conservatory-sized home office library room, the kind with rolling ladders, with thermal-imaging radar and gun racks with many rifles. He told my friend that he had hunting parties with his friends. They know where the animals are before they go out and hunt them. I said, ‘That’s not very fair sporting to cheat with the radar’, and he said, “I know, but it was so cool. Can you imagine having that kind of money.” We were both innocently discussing these things in the early 90s, and today I know exactly what “hunting parties’ are.
