Indigenous women and girls are trafficked through elite networks. My grandma said in the 1970s that the common word around Calgary and the west was that Pierre Trudeau was involved in child trafficking down the Vancouver coast. Everyone knew this at the time. The Vancouver Club is actually notorious for being involved in this behaviour.

Four years ago today, when the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls presented its final report, the sombre and painful realities endured by Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people in Canada were once again brought to light.

This is my political analysis for the election. Usually my predications are fairly accurate. Just read it, I think it will resonate with many of your feelings:
I believe (sadly) that Trudeau will win a majority government back. There are several reasons for this:
– The biggest one that people want to keep receiving CRB plus other pandemic relief payments, and the extension of these is a major issue he is basing the Liberal platform on (to hell with Canada’s $1.1 TRILLION national debt and deficits in the hundreds of billions)
– A Conservative leader from Ontario who is not known nationally (and not even known in his home province). He has not really made the effort to reach out to Canadians and many do not know him or what he stands for.
What is the Conservative Party’s platform for the election? They have not really made it known, other than a pledge to pay the salaries of newly hired employees for up to 6 months and covering 25% of the salary of net new hires… this is an unrealistic proposal that sounds insanely expensive, socialist-sounding, and may turn off fiscal conservatives- and you may have a situation where traditional conservative voters either vote for the PPC or don’t vote at all (think of the 2011 Liberal bloodbath where many of their voters stayed home).
Also, who came up with the 1 month HST/sales tax vacation in December idea? That is really stupid. People are going to be buying Christmas gifts anyways in December. That won’t change, ever. Why not target the HST vacation for a month when goods/services purchases are the lowest to extra stimulate the economy then?
The Conservative Party has moved further to the left (they almost have no choice if they want to keep up with society’s shifting values and demographics), and this may see hardcore Conservative Party supporters switch their allegiance to the PPC.
Yes, Erin O’Toole is a military hero who was saving lives while Trudeau was painting his face black, but sadly people don’t care about that anymore. Had this been 30+ years ago, O’Toole would easily become PM based solely on his being a military hero
-A split on the right: Last election, Maxime Bernier’s PPC split the vote and cost the Conservative party up to 11 seats as a result. This election they aren’t polling as well and Bernier has been excluded from the debates, but they still may cause minor vote splitting among traditional conservatives (especially in Western Canada) who disagree with the CPC’s platform as stated above.
– Out of all the party leaders, Jagmeet Singh seems to be the most likeable, and I strongly believed last election this would translate into more votes for the NDP- especially from the younger demographic, who he should have resonated with (in 2015 Trudeau was the “cool” younger guy, and the young demographic voted for him based on that and based on his promise to legalize marijuana). However, I was wrong about this in 2019 and Singh and the NDP did not perform well, losing 15 seats. They will likely remain at the same level, give or take a few seats.
FOOTNOTE: Yes, right now most national polls have the Tories and Liberals statistically tied, but it is still early in the election and polls are not always right (remember when they put Clinton at a 98% chance of winning compared to Trump’s 2%?)

Woman testifies at Chrétien’s son’s trial
She says she remembers him having sex with her, and telling him to stop. Then, things go black again until she remembers getting up, naked and alone, in his bedroom.
My sister lives on Saltspring Island. As far as I know they don’t even have staff in their police station anymore, or only from 90-5.
But it might have changed.
Yes, this is very scary. There is an area on Saltspring that is not shown on Google Earth. They call it Maracaibo. There are
houses in the mountains, nice big houses, and they are all empty. Hardly anyone lives there year round.
Last year a lot of Chinese troops were seen on the island, marching.
Kind regards,
Renate

You may be certain if detention guards are being hired on this small, upscale, lovely British Columbia island, it is true throughout the province, and probably nationwide. Why suddenly would this be needed? Who is about to be detained? If you can think, it will be YOU!
