BRAD Pitt’s controversial housing charity has been given a $500,000 loan by ex wife Angelina Jolie to help fight his legal battle with victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The actor’s charity Make It Right is facing a class action lawsuit by New Orleans residents, who lost their homes in the 2005 tragedy and then purchased properties built by the charity in the Lower Ninth Ward.

In recent years, homeowners have been complaining about the sub-standard quality of the houses, which have suffered from leaky roofs, rotting walls, and toxic mold.

Louisiana attorney Ron Austin is now suing on behalf of residents Lloyd Francis and Jennifer Decuir, who claim to have suffered illnesses and infrastructural issues to their properties.

Now The Sun can reveal that the Maddox Jolie Pitt Foundation (MJP) loaned Make It Right $500,000 in 2017, according to the latest tax form filed by MJP.

On page 7 of the 990 form, it states that it gave a half-a-million dollar “zero-interest loan to a public charity to help fund costs in connection with the pursuit of legal actions related to construction deficits in homes built for communities..”

On pg 24, it’s revealed that the public charity is, in fact, Make It Right.

MJP also gave $4,364,320 from 2007 to 2009 to Pitt’s organization to help people who saw their houses destroyed by the hurricane, according to their tax returns for that period.

While the charity still has Pitt’s name on it, he hasn’t contributed a cent since the couple split up in 2016. According to the latest tax return, the only donor was Jolie, who pumped in $4,749,880.

The previous year, in 2016, Jolie was again the only donor, giving $2,849,970.

The charity also appears to hold the copyright to their wedding photos, which appear on the tax form.

It states that although they have a book value of $20,000, they now have a fair market value of only $5,000.

It comes after The Sun revealed the shocking state of the movie star’s abandoned charity office in the heart of New Orleans earlier this year.

The people who bought the houses from his non-profit Make it Right foundation built in the Lower Ninth Ward have complained of them falling apart and being a serious health hazard and have even killed some residents.

Brad, who won a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor in movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, had ploughed millions into the charity between 2007 to 2009.

But now the family of Make It Right homeowner Trudy Green are claiming that the toxic mold played a major part in her death in January 2018 and have called on A-Lister

Her brother-in-law, Reverend Charles Duplessis, who lives and runs a church in the area, says Make It Right have to make homeowners’ health its priority, so there aren’t anymore untimely deaths or serious illnesses.

“There ought to be someone who is checking the health of all these people with problems. It won’t bring Trudy back, but when you have an epidemic, you try to help those that are a part of it,” Rev. Charles told Sun Online.

“If it went on with Trudy, how many other people are sick and could die? If it can be stopped, then people will be able to live longer.

“Where there’s injustice, there has to be justice. Sometimes it takes more than one voice, we need people to say that they want not just their houses examined, but their health, that’s much more important.

“To use the charity’s words, they have to make the houses right.”

In another case, a child was allegedly left brain damaged due to the high levels of mold in his family’s house, while other residents are known to have severe respiratory problems with some needing an oxygen tank to breathe.

At the time a source close to the charity told The Sun: “There is very little that can be said because of the ongoing litigation against the architect involved with the construction, but Make It Right is still continuing to try and work with individual homeowners during this process.”

Comment: Looks like Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Charity is just another sham/scam.
