The end of this year’s Medicare Open Enrollment period is just around the corner. During this time, our members around the country have been raising the alarm on Medicare Advantage, and giving people the facts that the insurance companies won’t: for instance, that MA insurers are overcharging taxpayers by up to $140 BILLION per year.
In this last week of Open Enrollment, I encourage you to submit an op-ed or letter to the editor in your local paper on the dangers of Medicare Advantage. Please take some inspiration from our piece recently published in the Hill, co-authored by our amazing Vice President, Dr. Diljeet Singh, and Representative Pramila Jayapal!
Here are some resources you can use to take on the insurers infiltrating Medicare and get facts and figures for your piece:

Use the above resources to write a letter to the editor or op-ed about the dangers of Medicare Advantage. Feel free to contact our Communications Specialist, Gaurav Kalwani, at gaurav@pnhp.org for help with op-eds or letters.
Profiteers want to make our health care system even more unequal and ineffective than it already is. If we want to one day achieve improved Medicare for All, we can’t let corporate insurers have their way … and we need your help to stop them.
Please share the Hill piece and our new report far and wide, and please write your own letters to the editor and op-eds as well. Together, we can stand up to corporate profiteers and reclaim Medicare for the people.
In solidarity,
