London Wants Trump Out Now, as Their Financial System Blows Apart

Sept. 29 (EIRNS)—We are in the end-phase of the British Empire’s bankrupt trans-Atlantic system, and the global strategic situation is moving extremely fast, Helga Zepp-LaRouche stressed in a discussion with associates today. Dramatic developments with the failing banking system could occur as early as this week, which is the beginning of the fourth quarter, as the Fed girds for a major intervention into an interbank market that has been seizing up. Or the “big one” could be a few weeks or months down the line. But what is certain, Zepp-LaRouche stated, is that the British system is thoroughly bankrupt and dying, as Lyndon LaRouche uniquely demonstrated, and that it is lashing out to stop and destroy the worldwide wave of anti-Establishment political ferment that has swept the globe since 2016—from the Brexit, to Trump’s election, the major electoral explosions in Italy, Mexico, the Philippines and more. These are all obstacles to London’s intent to use their green eco-fascist mobilization to enshrine the lie that “there are limits to growth,” and the bestial concept of man underlying such a view.

First and foremost on their list is the British operation to topple the Trump Presidency and mangle the U.S. Constitution in the process, which has been kicked into “Rocket Docket” mode with the fabricated story about Trump’s supposed actions with Ukraine. The British are particularly worried that, under conditions of financial meltdown, Trump could act unpredictably to remedy the situation—especially since the only available remedies have been provided by Lyndon LaRouche.

The LaRouche movement intends to stop this operation cold, Zepp-LaRouche stated, by focusing the enormous popular outrage at this sham, in a laser-like fashion on the enemy’s most vulnerable, exposed flank:

That Joe Biden actually did in Ukraine what the Democratic Party et al. are lyingly accusing Trump of doing—threatening and blackmailing to bring about a desired political result. But in the case of Biden, he and the Obama Administration he represents to this day, in fact orchestrated a regime-change, de facto Nazi coup d’état in Ukraine, on the very borders with Russia. And this British-run operation was then used to unleash a dramatic worsening of the strategic situation, which has today devolved into a direct conflict between the U.S. and Russia, and then between the U.S. and China. This is a situation which President Donald Trump—but not all of his cabinet—has repeatedly promised to reverse.

The coup against Trump must be stopped; the global showdown with Russia and China must be reversed; and the bankrupt trans-Atlantic financial system must be replaced in the manner Lyndon LaRouche specified.

Trump Campaign Ad Exposes Biden’s Ukraine Corruption behind Impeachment Operation

Sept. 28 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump tweeted yesterday afternoon: “I AM DRAINING THE SWAMP!” which includes a video of Trump’s paid campaign ad, transcribed here:

Narrator: “Joe Biden promised Ukraine $1 billion if they fired the prosecutor investigating his son’s company.

Joe Biden: [addressing the Council on Foreign Relations] “ ‘If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a b*tch, he got fired.’

Narrator: “But when President Trump asks Ukraine to investigate corruption, the Democrats want to impeach him, and their media lap-dogs fall in line. They lost the election—now they want to steal this one. Don’t let them.”

Behind Democrats’ Latest Coup Operations, ‘Playing Telephone’ against the Truth

Sept. 28 (EIRNS)—Both elements of the Trump phone call with newly elected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky demonstrate that this coup has been undertaken to keep the details of how the Democratic Party conspired with the intelligence community to destroy both the Constitution and the Presidency to avoid from being exposed by Attorney General Bill Barr. Again, President Donald Trump referenced CrowdStrike and possible Ukrainian possession of the DNC’s server in the phone call. The alleged Russian hacking of the DNC in 2016 is at the center of the seditious insurrection that has been conducted against this President from Day One. The Russian hack is a myth concocted by CrowdStrike and the same Ukrainian, U.S., and British intelligence elements which ran the U.S.-British regime-change operation in Ukraine in 2014. It is clear that Bill Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham are on the trail of that, and the trail leads to London and Kiev, the U.S. State Department, and the Obama White House, inclusive of Joe Biden, together with the Obama intelligence chiefs.  Russia has zero to do with it, except being a target for destruction, like Trump.

Second, in the call, Trump referenced Joe Biden’s role in Ukraine which leads straight to George Soros and the British-Wall Street effort to loot Ukraine the same way they looted Russia, while pursuing their determination for regime change in Russia itself, an effort which risks nuclear war.

Atlantic Council Frets, Establishment Efforts To Oust Trump and Boris Johnson ‘May End in Tears’

Sept. 29 (EIRNS)—The liberal establishment is relying heavily on their tried and tested (and failed) method of “shock and awe” to try to oust President Donald Trump from the White House, but some more sober establishment voices are warning that the whole gambit may backfire. The Hill today published an op-ed by two Atlantic Council authors, Mathew Burrows (director of the Foresight, Strategy and Risks Initiative at the Atlantic Council) and Julian Mueller-Kaler (a non-resident fellow at the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies and works at the Atlantic Council’s Foresight, Strategy and Risks Initiative), under the headline: “Why Trying To Impeach Trump and Oust Johnson May End In Tears,” and instead propose a different strategy “to combat the disease of populism.”

They state their dislike of both Trump and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, but write: “But to win the argument and strip Trump of his powers, Democrats will have to do more than pass impeachment legislation. Their strategy is a dangerous all-or-nothing approach and might well end in tears. If removing the President from his office fails, Democrats will hand Trump even more ammunition to establish his outsider narrative and inflame his populist base.”

The authors continue: “What is true for the United States also applies to Britain: Many celebrated the paralysis of Johnson’s government as the country’s Supreme Court made history earlier this week. But polling shows that the decision might prove to be a Pyrrhic victory, given the outrage that it has caused among hard-core Brexiteers and Johnson’s exploitation of the populist narrative that leaving the European Union is a battle between Parliament and the people…. Just like Trump, Johnson has been a mastermind in playing on the deep-rooted resentments of those feeling left behind and making patriots out of those who battle the ‘corrupt system.’ ”

They warn that “it may be too late for second thoughts,” however, and that “Just as former President Clinton largely turned the tables on his accusers in the 1990s, Trump can show his populist base how persecuted he is by the ‘deep state.’ ”

They urge a different approach:

“At some point, the establishment’s need to take responsibility for their past failures and draw respective lessons from them. Populist supporters are neither Hillary Clinton’s ‘basket of deplorables’ nor an exclusive club of homophobic racists. They are rather disillusioned victims of economic disruptions that are beyond their control. If mainstream politicians are to combat the disease of populism, they need to take away the reasons for public frustration and widespread disappointment.”

Russian Media Also Think Democrats’ ‘Ukrainegate’ Could Backfire

Sept. 29 (EIRNS)—TASS covers Russian media response to the latest effort to impeach President Donald Trump under the headline, “Media: “Ukrainegate Hoopla May Be Democrat Ploy To Win Back White House,” reporting that Democrats launched the new scandal against the President “after failing to play the so-called Russian card to get Trump impeached…. However, experts believe that it is almost impossible to unseat Trump through this process.”

TASS continues: “Director of the Russian Academy of Sciences Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies Valery Garbuzov told Izvestia that the crusade to impeach the President has no chances but this topic could embitter Trump’s life and dominate the race. However, the U.S. leader could also try to derive some benefits from it, the political scientist noted. ‘Previously, he managed to emerge victorious after false claims against him during the so-called Russiagate uproar, so maybe Ukrainegate will play into the White House occupant’s hand,’ he stressed. According to President of the American University in Moscow Eduard Lozansky, Trump will find a way to profit from this situation.”

Trump and Supporters Fight Hard against the Coup

Sept. 29 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Rudy Giuliani and others hit back hard against the coup against President Trump over the weekend.

Trump took to Twitter, yesterday, correctly attacking the whistleblower complaint as hearsay, and Adam Schiff’s false reading of the transcript of Trump’s call with Zelensky. Here’s his Sept. 28 Tweet:

““The Whistleblower’s complaint is completely different and at odds from my actual conversation with the new President of Ukraine. The so-called ‘Whistleblower’ knew practically NOTHING in that those ridiculous charges were far more dramatic & wrong, just like Liddle’ Adam Schiff fraudulently and illegally inserted his made up & twisted words into my call with the Ukrainian President to make it look like I did something very wrong. He then boldly read those words to Congress and millions of people, defaming & libeling me. He must resign from Congress!”

Trump is also running ads in swing districts blasting the Dems and saying, “They’re trying to stop me because I’m fighting for you, and I’ll never let that happen.” He’s also running an ad showing Biden bragging about how he got the Ukrainian prosecutor fired, that ends: “the Democrats want to impeach him and their media lapdogs fall in line. They lost the election, now they want to steal this one.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham has outspokenly backed Trump and today gave an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” where he said, “I have zero problems with this phone call. There is no quid pro quo here but I do have a problem with Nancy Pelosi. If you believethat Donald Trump did something to hurt this country, you owe it to vote, not talk about impeaching the President. The only way to open up an impeachment inquiry is to vote. We need a John Hancock moment from House Democrats. Quit hiding behind Nancy Pelosi. If you think the President did something wrong in this phone call, then vote to open up an article of impeachment inquiry, and a lot of House Democrats won’t because they’re afraid.”

When asked if it were ethical for Trump to bring up Joe Biden on the call with Zelensky, Graham said, “Yes, absolutely. I think somebody ought to look at whether or not Joe Biden had the prosecutor fired in an improper way. I love Joe Biden. I don’t want to look at it. I want an inspector general, somebody like Mueller. Did Biden know that his son was receiving $50,000 a month from a gas company being investigated by the prosecutor—on a board being investigated for corruption and the guy doing the investigation is asked to be fired by Biden? I don’t know what happened. It smells to high heaven.”

Graham blasted the hearsay nature of the whistleblower complaint: “Every American deserves to confront their accuser. So this is a sham as far as I’m concerned. I want to know who told the whistleblower about the phone call. I want to know why they changed the rules about whistleblowers not—the hearsay rule was changed just a short period of time before the complaint was filed. The complaint sounds like a legal document, who help him—who helped this guy write it or this girl write it? We’re not going to try the President of the United States based on hearsay. Every American has a right to confront their accuser.”

His advice to Trump, “Keep fighting back. We have your back on this. I’m openly telling everybody in the country, I have the President’s back because I think this is a setup…. Defend yourself. And that’s what Bill Clinton did.”

Giuliani was on two Sunday shows continuing to detail how his investigation of the origins of the Russia collusion hoax led back to Ukraine and to Joe Biden’s corruption. Also, Trump adviser Steve Miller was interviewed, “I know the difference between a whistleblower and a deep state operative,” he was quoted by Huffington Post as saying. “This is a deep state operative, pure and simple. … This is about, do you want a democracy in this country or do you want a deep state?” Miller called the whistleblower a political operative whose complaint is dripping with prejudice.

Meanwhile, on the Democratic side, pressure is being put on all Democrats to fall in line. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who initially said she opposed impeachment, has now changed her mind. On Thursday night, Sept. 26, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that impeachment was a bad idea that would end badly for the Democrats, and that Speaker Pelosi had caved to the “left-wing” of the party. By Sept. 28 he had taken back his remarks and said he fully supports the impeachment inquiry.

On the other hand, Doug Schoen, a former pollster for Bill Clinton who has frequently criticized this current crop of Democrats has an opinion piece in The Hill saying that the impeachment drive will hurt the Democrats and that even among the Dems who have come out in support of impeachment, “many of them still believe it is a bridge too far.”

COLLAPSING WESTERN FINANCIAL SYSTEM

Fed Prepares for Trouble on the Financial Markets When They Open Monday Morning

Sept. 29 (EIRNS)—Monday is Sept. 30, the end of the third quarter, and Bloomberg reports that “The repo market has calmed down, but the Federal Reserve is gearing up its safeguards in case turmoil resurfaces on Monday…. The third quarter ends Monday. So, for the past two days, the New York Fed has run $100 billion overnight repo operations—bigger than the $75 billion daily liquidity injections that began early last week—plus separate 14-day operations. Neither of Friday’s actions were fully subscribed and short-term lending rates are well below the peak seen last week, a sign order has been restored for now. But on Monday, that larger $100 billion size will be repeated and the overnight operation will run from 7:45 a.m. to 8 a.m. New York time, earlier than prior morning actions. Both signal the Fed is girding for rates to spike again.”

China-U.S. Trade Talks To Resume Oct. 10-11

Sept. 27 (EIRNS)—China and the United States are preparing for a new round of top-level trade talks in early October, which U.S. media outlets have reported will occur Oct. 10-11, before new U.S. tariffs on Chinese products take effect Oct. 15. Chinese Vice-Premier Liu He will lead his country’s delegation in resumed negotiations with the U.S. Oct. 10-11 in Washington.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said U.S.-China trade talks can make progress when they resume in two weeks in the U.S., Wendy Wu reported in South China Morning Post today.

“Efforts to resolve the trade war with the United States would make progress if both nations took more proactive steps in their upcoming negotiations,” Wu wrote. Wang Yi said, “Recently both sides have shown goodwill to each other, such as the U.S. granting a tariff exemption for hundreds of Chinese products and China being willing to buy more American products needed by the Chinese market.”

Wang continued, “We hope both sides are able to take more proactive steps and minimize pessimistic language and actions. If everyone does this, I believe the [trade] talks will not only resume, but move forward.”

China’s Ministry of Commerce said yesterday that Chinese companies had bought large amounts of pork and soybeans from the U.S. recently: “China has great demand for the qualified agricultural products … and there is sufficient cooperation between China and the U.S.”

White House National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow told Fox Business Network yesterday that China had bought a “high volume” of soybeans, which pushed up soybean prices and led to an increase of U.S. soybean exports by more than 80% year-on-year. “This is a very, very good beginning—we haven’t seen this kind of thing before,” Kudlow said. China announced two weeks ago that it would exempt some U.S. agricultural products, including soybeans and pork, from additional tariffs. China bought 3,375 tons of American pork last week, its biggest purchase in two weeks, the USDA said.

Everbright Sun Hung Kai, a Hong Kong-based brokerage firm, released a research note today which said China had been reluctant to buy a large amount of soybeans, used mainly in feed for pigs, because the pig herds have fallen about 39% due to an epidemic of African Swine Fever. “China’s move to purchase more pork makes more sense in that it corresponds with domestic demand,” the company’s note said.

The U.S. has also allowed U.S. parts suppliers to sell to Huawei until Nov. 19, 2019.

The SCMP characterized President Trump as sending mixed messages on a trade deal: Wednesday, he said “that a U.S.-China trade deal ‘could happen sooner than you think,’ a day after lashing out against Chinese trade practices,” SCMP wrote.

U.S. Announces New Sanctions against Iran and China for Trading in Oil, as China Slams ‘Bullying’

Sept. 27 (EIRNS)—This week, Secretary of State announced new sanctions against Iran, and against China, for engaging in oil trade. China yesterday, denounced the U.S. actions as “bullying.”

On Sept. 25, the U.S. Treasury Department said it was imposing sanctions on five Chinese nationals and six Chinese firms for violating Washington’s sanctions, imposed unilaterally, to curb Iran’s oil exports. Secretary Mike Pompeo said the same day, “This is one of the largest sanctions actions the United States has taken against entities and individuals identified as transporting Iranian oil since our sanctions were re-imposed in November 2018.” Speaking in New York, Pompeo said that the U.S. action is aimed at denying, “the Iranian regime critical income to engage in foreign conflicts, advance its ballistic missile development and fund terror around the world.” He declared, “We are telling China, and all nations: know that we will sanction every violation.”

Yesterday Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said, in his regular daily briefing, “We always oppose the so-called long arm jurisdiction and unilateral sanctions. We also oppose the bullying practice of the U.S.”

Among the Chinese entities hit by the new sanctions are Ship Management Co. Ltd. and two COSCO Shipping Corporation affiliates: COSCO Shipping Tanker (Dalian) Co. and COSCO Shipping Tanker (Dalian) Seaman & Ship Management Co.

STRATEGIC WAR DANGER

Lavrov Urges UNGA To End ‘Division of Mankind’ and Unleash Its ‘Tremendous Creative Potential’

Sept. 28 (EIRNS)—In his address to the UN General Assembly debate yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov urged the nations of the world to end “the division of mankind [which] threatens it with destruction,” so as to unleash “the tremendous creative potential” which can result from cooperation among differing states against common threats.

This was the hope of the United Nations when it was founded nearly 75 years ago, but which the Cold War prevented, he said. “The hope arose again almost 30 years ago when the Berlin Wall, symbolizing confrontation of the two irreconcilable systems, fell. It was the hope for the possibility to finally turn the grievous pages of wars—not only hot but also cold—and to join efforts for the benefit of all mankind.”

Lavrov asserted that the unilateralism of Western liberalism had buried that hope, so that instead, today the world is increasingly fragmented:

“In our view, the reason for the current state of affairs lies, first and foremost, in the unwillingness of the countries which declared themselves winners in the Cold War to reckon with the legitimate interests of all other states, to accept the realities of the objective course of history….

“Leading Western countries are trying to impede the development of the polycentric world, to recover their privileged positions, to impose standards of conduct based on the narrow Western interpretation of liberalism on others. In a nutshell, ‘we are liberals, and we can do anything.’ ”

Lavrov detailed the dangerous efforts of those Western interests to impose a “rules-based order” in which only they determine “legitimacy,” and he pointed to their use of media control and fake news to resort to “manipulation of public consciousness” to do so.

Lavrov contrasted the attempts to create conflicting blocs to the efforts of Russia and other nations to harmonize differing regional integration plans. He cited as an example, President Vladimir Putin’s initiative for a Greater Eurasian Partnership, which seeks to unite the development plans of the nations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), beginning by “interconnecting development plans of the EAEU and the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.”  Should the European Union also join in, Lavrov suggested, “these endeavors will contribute not only to increasing economic growth but also to laying a solid foundation in order to form a territory of peace, stability, and cooperation from Lisbon to Jakarta.”

SCIENCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Scientists Organizing against ‘Manmade Climate Crisis’ Lies

Sept. 28 (EIRNS)—The more than 500 prominent scientists, professionals, and researchers from around the world who have signed the European Climsate Declaration to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Sept. 23, are forming a “Global Climate Intelligence Group,” in order to coordinate an aggressive international campaign around the truth that “there is no climate emergency” (see EIR Daily Alert, Vol. 6, #191, Sept. 26, 2019).

The group is the brainchild of Prof. Guus Berkhout, emeritus professor of Geophysics in the Delft University of Technology and a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, according to Lord Christopher Monckton of Brenchley. Monckton, a signer of the European declaration, posted a report today on the new Climate Group and the initiatives it plans to take, on Anthony Watts’ climate truth website, “Watts Up With That.”

Members are discussing publishing “an online, open-access Journal of Corrections to publish learned papers, peer-reviewed by qualified members of the Group, that will put right the often erroneous and unsound science published in the pal-review journals of climate science,” as well as “hosting national and international scientific conferences, providing speakers and lecturers willing to balance the one-sided and militantly wrong pseudo-science that now holds sway, providing articles for those of the mainstream media who—unlike the unspeakable BBC—are willing to honor their obligation of giving both sides of every story.”  Planning is already underway on the first of a series of documentaries they intend to produce. Other ideas include setting up online universities and “an internet based home-schooling network for pupils aged 3 to 18.”

The group is clear this fight will get nasty. Monckton reports that they are establishing “a legal defense fund to assist those, such as Prof. Peter Ridd of the Great Barrier Reef, who have been libeled, punished or dismissed for daring to do what scientists ought to do—to take no one’s word for it and to go on asking questions until the truth emerges.”

The group seeks to “establish friendly relations with other independent-minded entities worldwide that are dedicated to the advancement of true science,” and invites new scientists to sign on.

THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER

Beijing Offers ‘The Secrets of China’s Infrastructure Success’ to Mexico

Sept. 28 (EIRNS)—China’s Ambassador to Mexico Zhu Qingqiao shared the “three secrets of China’s rapid development of infrastructure” with Mexicans, in an exciting opinion column published yesterday in the newspaper Milenio.

The ambassador reminded his Mexican readers of the great infrastructure development which China had achieved by the end of 2018, in terms of kilometers of highways and railways built and optical cables laid, increased installed electricity generation capacity, and record-setting “megaprojects characterized by ‘Chinese speed, precision and quality,’ ” such as the world’s longest over-sea bridge, the world’s highest altitude railway, the first port to handle over a billion tons of cargo annually.

China’s first “secret,” he wrote, is that the Chinese government views infrastructure as the “bedrock” needed to sustain the country and make it powerful, “as well as an essential step to break the bottleneck of development, improve social well-being, promote interconnectivity and achieve sustainable development.” The government therefore draws up national medium- and long-term infrastructure development plans. And because infrastructure uses money quickly, but only yields profits later, “it is necessary for the government to play a guiding role and offer incentives for the participation of the market.” In 2018, he noted, China invested $2.44 trillion in infrastructure; in 2019, it surpassed $2.4 trillion in investment between January and July alone!

China’s second “secret,” is to develop strategies to overcome differences in development between the different regions, while integrating them economically—a problem the Ambassador is well aware Mexico also faces. “By developing interconnectivity and creating channels of transportation, energy and production infrastructure,” industrial development is being equalized between the regions. Relatively backward areas were encouraged to form various metropolitan areas which are gradually becoming new poles of economic growth.

The third “secret,” Ambassador Zhu wrote, is “the reciprocal boost that scientific and technological innovation and the development of infrastructure provide each other.” He pointed to China’s stunning successes in developing the new technologies needed to overcome environmental and construction challenges: the 454 patents for new processes and materials for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge; the innovations in welding and overcoming air-resistance required to build the world’s fastest train, the Fuxing bullet train; etc.

Mexico has “a great development potential,” and the López Obrador government seeks to increase infrastructure construction and interconnectivity; “China is ready to share its successful experiences in this area with Mexico,” he offered.
