Trump Moves To Crush British Coup Attempt

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—President Trump’s historic declaration Monday that critical FBI and DOJ documents related to the Russiagate hoax be declassified “expeditiously,” as has been strongly suggested by this organization as well as many of Trump’s defenders in the Congress, must constitute the “beginning of the end” of the British coup attempt against the U.S. government headed by Donald Trump.

Trump’s order mandates the release of key portions of the application for a FISA warrant to spy on a member of Trump’s campaign committee—and therefore on Trump’s campaign itself—a warrant which extended well into Trump’s presidency in 2017. This declassification will expose the fact that those who filed the application were committing a crime, since the only source for the claim of “Russian collusion” was the dossier compiled by British MI6 official Christopher Steele, a dossier which was known at the time by all involved to be unsubstantiated garbage, not to mention that it had been paid for by for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Also mandated is the declassification of all the briefings by the FBI and DOJ of Bruce Ohr, who was reporting back on his multiple meetings with MI6 agent Steele after the FBI was forced to fire Steele for illegal leaks to the press.

In other words, what is certain to be revealed is the concerted campaign by leaders of Obama’s intelligence team to conspire with a foreign nation’s intelligence officials to interfere with the 2016 election, and to then conspire to create conditions to remove the President of the United States, by impeachment or other means, through the creation of a special prosecutor, Robert Mueller, to carry on the coup attempt.

This is a clinical case of treason, carried out on behalf of the British government.

This fact is clearly recognized its perpetrators, as evidenced by the level of hysteria from the leaders of the Democratic Party, who have most vociferously championed the coup attempt. The ranking members of the Oversight and Judiciary Committees in the House, Elijah Cummings and Jerrold Nadler, after calling Trump’s move “reckless and irresponsible,” argue that the exposure of the

truth—that there was no Russian collusion—was a “desperate attempt to distract” from Mueller’s prosecutions of people connected to Trump. Note, however, that the charges against these persons have nothing to do with Trump or with Russian collusion; they are part of a witch hunt. Nancy Pelosi went so far as to say that Trump was “risking the lives of our patriots by compromising sources and methods, all so he can advance falsehoods and false narratives that distract from the truth of the Trump-Russia scandal.” So, releasing the truth about the fake “Russia collusion” scam is covering up the Russian collusion. These are desperate people, who recognize that their heroes in the Obama intelligence community could end up in prison for their crimes—perhaps Hillary Clinton and Obama as well.

President Trump’s decisive action comes as the new paradigm continues to unfold, presenting the alternative to war and financial crisis. The leaders of South and North Korea are meeting for three days in Pyongyang, where President Moon Jae-in and Chairman Kim Jong-un rode into town from the airport in an open-roof car, greeted by cheering crowds along the way in national dress, waving “unification” flags—flags with a map of the united Korea, as they used at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Seoul. Many of South Korea’s leading businessmen joined the delegation, to convey the kind of cooperation in nation-building which can be unleashed once the process of establishing peaceful relations is completed.

It was Trump’s cooperation with Russia and China which brought about this breakthrough on the Korean Peninsula. The beautiful events in Korea today will be merely one of many such victories for humanity globally, if President Trump also joins with China, Russia, Japan, and the numerous countries around the globe now engaged in building the New Silk Road. LaRouche has also called on Trump to join forces with Russia and China to deal with the threatening financial explosion, by sponsoring a New Bretton Woods Conference, to restore fixed exchange rates and impose Glass-Steagall reforms to eliminate the worthless derivative bubble, and re-connect the financial system to the real economy.

Ending the British coup will free Trump to do exactly that, provided the American population mobilizes itself to prevent the war party from taking over the Congress in November.

U.S. POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC

British Coup Crew Goes for Broke To Block President Trump’s ‘Bombshell’ Declassification Order

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump’s “stunning” order to the Director of National Intelligence, Department of Justice and FBI to declassify specific documents related to the entire “Russiagate” coup operation run by British intelligence “caught intelligence agencies off-guard, and it remained unclear Monday whether national security professionals would have any opportunity to challenge any aspect of the decision,” NBC wrote frantically last night, after the White House announcement of the order.

Initial reaction from leading Democrats in Congress sputtered angrily along the lines that “the President had no right to undermine an investigation into his campaign or pursue vendettas against political enemies,” as the ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Mark Warner, put it.

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Rep. Adam Schiff hinted that he hoped the coup network within the DOJ and FBI might be able to stop the release of these explosive documents in his Monday night tweet, writing that “the DOJ and FBI have previously informed me that release of some of this information would cross a red line.”

By today, both Schiff and President Obama’s former CIA Director John Brennan (who could face jail time for his role in British intelligence’s “Russiagate” fraud) argued that if key “resisters” within the intelligence community did not step forward to refuse to obey a lawful order from the President, the entire Robert Mueller operation to bring down the President could be lost.

Schiff named FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in a CNN interview as the officials who had spoken of a “red line” if the public were given access to these documents. He escalated in a MSNBC interview, calling on Wray and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats “to stand up to this President and say ‘no.’ They are not going to release material that they have committed to keep confidential to protect people.”

Brennan, speaking on MSNBC, said he is “hoping that individuals of conscience are going to stop and prevent [the release] because I am concerned that this is just one indication that Mr. Trump is going to increasingly look for steps to take in order to further try to subvert the Mueller investigation.” He specifically named Wray, Coats and Rosenstein as among the “individuals of conscience” whom he said must now make a decision, should the White House not relent, as to “whether or not they are going to just not follow that direction and be fired, or to resign.”

British Intelligence Ties Are at Stake in Declassification Order

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—Among the wailings in the media by “former law-enforcement officials and national security experts” against President Donald Trump’s declassification order, those of recently retired FBI special agent Frank Montoya, Jr., a fervent supporter of former FBI Director James Comey, are of note. Montoya, in essence, warns that Trump’s order could bring down the entire, decades-long British intelligence penetration of U.S. intelligence agencies.

Montoya is quoted today in Business Insider’s piece titled “ ‘Off the Charts’: National Security Experts Sound the Alarm After Trump Moves To Selectively Declassify the Carter Page FISA Application.” (Every one of the “experts” cited worked in either the Obama or G.W. Bush Administrations and have long been activists in the anti-Trump coup operation.) Montoya told Business Insider, referring to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and the FISA Court, that “the FISA process is secret for a reason: To protect sources and methods.” Montoya argues, in BI’s paraphrase, that “publicly disclosing more details from the [Carter] Page FISA application could not only compromise such information, but risk the U.S.’s relationship with its partners in the intelligence community,” before quoting Montoya again: “No question, we are crossing a major red line if we do that. We cannot do our work without those sources.”

As is well-known, those sources center around MI6’s high-level operative Christopher Steele. Business Insider itself asserts about pages 17-34 of the application to the FISA court to conduct surveillance on Carter Page, which have been ordered declassified: “Crucially, several parts of this section appear to contain information about confidential sources that Steele used while compiling his dossier, as well as Steele’s history as an FBI source.”

Kesha Rogers Takes On Impeachment Fanatic Rep. Al Green

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—“It’s time to tell Congressman Al Green ‘the show is over!’ You don’t represent the people of the 9th CD,” Independent candidate for the 9th CD of Texas, Kesha Rogers, endorsed by the LaRouche Political Action Committee, said today. Her opponent, Rep. Al Green, for over a year has single-mindedly put himself forward as the leading champion in the House of Representatives for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

“This past week Congressman Green spoke at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference, what did he speak on? Employment? No. Flood prevention? No. Solving suicide and drug overdoses? No. Crime and gangs? No. What did he speak about? ‘Impeachment: A Necessary Remedy for Bigotry in Policy.’ Who’s the real bigot Mr. Green? YOU are!” Rogers wrote.

“Rogers is fighting to defend President Trump against the baseless impeachment drive and witch hunt being led by grandstanding congressman Green. She is fighting to build a productive economy and stands with the President to build Great Projects for a Great America,” her campaign statement stated.

At that Black Caucus conference referenced by Rogers, multi-millionaire Green—who represents one of the poorest districts in the state of Texas, where 25% of families with at least one child are living below the poverty line—brought in legal advisors to buttress his dangerous lie that President Trump must impeached, regardless of whether he has or has not committed any impeachable crime, U.S. Constitution be damned.

Unlike her opponent, Rogers is organizing round-the-clock to inspire 9th CD constituents to join her in “thinking big,” and fight for the national and local economic and educational platform that can work to “attack and conquer poverty itself” which American statesman Lyndon LaRouche designed.

Professor Nolt’s Message to China: Trump’s Tariff Policy Is Based on His ‘Industrial Policy’

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—James Nolt, a New York University professor and a senior fellow at the World Policy Institute, offered China an alternative explanation in trying to understand President Donald Trump’s so-called “trade war,” in an article posted by China’s CGTN television network. Nolt indicates that it is understandable that Chinese leaders are “annoyed and bewildered” by Trump’s tactics. He opines: “What Trump wants is not more reform in the direction of liberal principles—what he wants is to preserve what he considers key American industries. He does not want free trade, he wants managed trade.”

However, he continues, Trump cannot say this explicitly, because “in American politics free trade is a necessary mantra. Advocating government managed trade is an anathema, especially in the Republican Party.”

What Trump wants is known as an “industrial policy,” which was once supported by some Democrats in the 1970s and 1980s, like Sen. Richard Gephardt, Nolt writes. He does not mention it, but these were the so-called “smokestack Democrats” who worked with both labor and industry in the FDR tradition, building American industry, a policy faction that was torn apart by the FBI and the DOJ through sting operations to entrap politicians in corruption traps, such as Brilab and Abscam in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The LaRouche organization was essentially alone in exposing and opposing this filthy FBI operation against the American System. The Democratic Party was left as a conglomeration of “identity politics” incompetents.

Nolt concludes that “Former Democrat Trump probably harks back to industrial policy previously advocated by Democratic leaders,” adding that he “disdains liberal policies in favor of negotiated results. This is the inspiration behind his campaign rhetoric that so resonated with industrial workers in Middle America, perplexing bicoastal liberals like candidate Hillary Clinton and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Trump speaks a language no longer in fashion in either party: It is somewhat cryptic to the uninitiated. It must be translated for those ignorant of American political history.”

STRATEGIC WAR DANGER

Russia Blames Israel for Downing Russian Reconnaissance Aircraft Off Syrian Coast

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—The Russian Defense Ministry is placing responsibility for the downing of a Russian IL-20 intelligence aircraft, last night, squarely on Israel. It came during an Israeli attack on Latakia targeting what was reported to be the Technical Industries’ establishment of the Syrian army, which is in downtown Latakia next to Tishreen University. The Il-20 disappeared from Russian radars during the Israeli attack, between 10 and 11 p.m. local time (19:00-20:00 UTC). Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov told reporters during a morning briefing at the Defense Ministry that four Israeli F-16 jets used the Il-20 as cover to protect themselves from Syrian air defenses. As a result, the Il-20 was hit by a Syrian missile. “By using the Russian plane as a cover the Israeli air pilots made it vulnerable to Syrian air defense fire. As a result, the Ilyushin-20, its reflective surface being far greater than that of F-16, was downed by a missile launched with the S-200 system,” Konashenkov said.

Konashenkov was later backed up by a strong statement issued by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu vowing a Russian response. “We have informed today our Israeli colleagues, and I have also informed personally the Israeli Defense Minister [Avigdor Lieberman], that such actions will not be left unanswered by us,” Shoigu said. “Our reconnaissance airplane Il-20 with 15 crew members on board” which had been collecting intelligence on jihadi drone operations in Idlib, “was in the strike zone, strictly speaking between Israel’s aircraft—four F-16 planes—and Syrian territory,” he said. “The Israeli side didn’t issue a notification or, to be more precise, they warned us a minute before conducting the strike,” he said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by phone and apparently minced few words. According to the Kremlin readout, Netanyahu promised to provide detailed information on the activities of the Israeli Air Force over Syrian territory on that day, which will be delivered soon to Moscow by the Israeli Air Force commander. Putin, in turn, “noted that operations of this nature by the Israeli Air Force are in violation of Syria’s sovereignty. In this particular case, Russian-Israeli agreements on preventing dangerous incidents had not been observed either, and that resulted in the Russian aircraft coming under Syrian air defense fire. The Russian President called on the Israeli side to prevent such incidents in the future.” Earlier Putin had characterized the incident as a “tragic accident” and differentiated it clearly from the November 2015 shootdown of a Russian Su-24 bomber by Turkish fighters, which was a deliberate ambush. “This time it looks like a string of tragic circumstances,” he said.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) responded to the initial Russian anger with a statement expressing sorrow at the loss of 15 Russian lives and acknowledging that it was responsible for the air strike on the Syrian army facility in Latakia, but blaming the loss of the Il-20 on Damascus, Hezbollah and Iran because, according to the Israelis, advanced weapons that were a serious threat to Israel were about to be transferred to Hezbollah on behalf of Iran. “Israel holds the Assad regime, whose military shot down the Russian plane, fully responsible for this incident. Israel also holds Iran and the Hezbollah terror organization accountable for this unfortunate incident,” the IDF said.

Italy Urges for World Trade Organization Reform at G20 Meeting in Argentina

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—At the G20 Trade Ministers meeting which ended Sept. 14 in Mar del Plata, Argentina, Italy called for a reform of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Italian Undersecretary for Economic Development Michele Geraci presented the Italian government approach for “less ideological” trade agreements and “for a more inclusive and solidaristic globalization,” according to a release by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development (MISE).

“Globalization is a Darwinian process: On one side it tends to have positive economic effects on average, but on the other side it leaves behind workers and less flexible firms, and the weakest layer of society in general.” Geraci therefore invited his colleagues to deal in a proactive way with support for the weak and those forgotten by globalization. “It is very strange that the free-market approach to trade, in order to work, must also include a strong state intervention so that benefits are eventually redistributed,” Geraci said.

Geraci called on the EU Commissioner for International Trade Cecilia Malmström to increase the EU Fund for Globalization Adjustment, currently at €150 million, in order to support small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs).

The Italian representative also illustrated the Italian Task Force on Costs and Benefits of Free Trade, calling on his colleagues to help with ideas, suggestions and analyses.

The MISE release also says that “The undersecretary finally shared the need for a reform of the WTO, in order to make it a forum to manage an international trade which is more equal and effective for all sides, acknowledging the importance that national trade policies and strategies might sometimes assume in the larger framework of international relations among states.

“Similar to the zero lower-bound on interest rates to eliminate maneuvering room to macroeconomic policy in case of a worsening of the conjunctural cycle, so zero tariffs eliminate flexibility and negotiation tools which are often necessary for states in managing their international relations.”

THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER

Moon Jae-in, Kim Jong-un Celebrate Opening of Their Third Summit

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his wife were greeted at the Pyongyang airport by Chairman Kim Jong-un and his wife, embraced, and rode together to the city standing in an open-roof car, waving at thousands of Koreans along the way, many in national dress and waving North Korean and “unification” flags (with a map of a united Korea).

They held a two-hour meeting, which was described as preliminary (no details were reported), and attended a musical performance with K-Pop and orchestral music.

More substantial talks will be held on Sept. 19-20.  The theme of the summit is “Peace and a New Future.” They intend to find a means to move the reconciliation process forward, with both leaders wanting to see the U.S. agree to a more phased process, rather than the idea that there would be no peace treaty and no lifting or loosening of sanctions until denuclearization is complete.

Seventeen leading business sent high-level representatives with President Moon, including CEOs of Samsung and other chaebol. The Hyundai representative told the press that no deals could be signed until sanctions are lifted, but that their presence was a signal that investments would follow progress in the talks.

A forum sponsored by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) was held today in Seoul, promoting the development of the rail connections through North Korea, CSIS President John Hamre said, “Asia is integrating internally, South Korea is isolated from the world geographically—Korea is to be a leader in reconnecting Asia to the world.” South Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam said that the “Trans-Korean Railway (TKR) will be connected to the Trans-Siberian Railway, the Trans-Chinese Railway and the Trans-Mongolian Railway.”

Liaoning Province Proposes Extending Belt and Road from Busan to Dandong

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—Liaoning Province of China, on the border with North Korea, has issued a plan to the government for extending the Belt and Road Initiative through a “rail, road, and communications link from the city of Dandong [on the border with North Korea] to the North Korean capital Pyongyang and then on to Seoul and Busan in the South,” reports Dong-a Ilbo daily.

The document also said that the province will further develop a North Korea-China economic zone in Hwanggumpyong Island in the mouth of the Yalu River between China and North Korea. Liaoning is also seeking to establish a special economic zone in Dandong.

Liaoning Province will create a group that “shares a common destiny in Northeast Asia by converging economic corridors that connect China, Russia, and Mongolia with a framework called the China-Japan-South Korea plus X model, so that the six countries can enhance cooperation,” reports Dong-a Ilbo.

SCIENCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Xi Jinping Greets World Artificial Intelligence Conference

Sept. 18 (EIRNS)—Xi Jinping issued a letter to the World Artificial Intelligence Conference held in Shanghai yesterday, calling for joint efforts by all nations to “promote AI for the benefit of mankind.” Several government and business officials called for closer cooperation between the U.S. and China, the two leaders in the development of robotics and other AI technologies. This was a clear reference to those in the anti-China circles in the U.S. who argue that China must be prevented from achieving parity with the U.S. in these areas, a course China has set for itself in its “Made in China 2025.”

Yet, the Global Times wrote today that more American tech companies want to work together with China. They note that Microsoft announced on yesterday it would set up a new research and development center in Shanghai, “as China has become the world’s most innovative and dynamic market,” the company said in a statement sent to the Global Times.

They further state that Google now “allows more Chinese developers to access its open-source software TensorFlow, which has been downloaded more than 2 million times since 2015, a Google employee told the Global Times on Monday.”

“Chinese tech companies such as JD.com Inc., Xiaomi and NetEase have been developing new AI-powered applications based on our machine learning platform,” he said.

Sixteen universities and research institutes created a “AI academic alliance on Monday, including MIT, Tsinghua University, Nanyang Technological University and Chinese tech start-up SenseTime’s research division.
