| At Least 68 People Dead in Yemen Following Saudi-Backed Attack
Posted: 09 Jan 2017 01:36 AM PST Article via Antiwar Saudi-backed forces attacked the Dhubab district in southwestern Yemen on Saturday, sparking heavy fighting throughout the weekend that left at least 68 fighters killed, with pro-Saudi sources claiming 55 of the slain were Houthis and only 13 were on their side. A Saudi-backed general Brig. Gen. Abdul Aziz al-Maijidi, was reported to be among the slain, however, costing them a high-ranking military leader. So far the territory has not changed hands, with fighting continuing through Sunday, and the Houthis retaining the important al-Omari base. The area is along the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which is strategically important strait that connect the Gulf of Aden into the Red Sea. The Houthis control much of the area around the strait, which complicates the Saudi naval blockade of the country which has been in place since 2015. It’s unclear how many fighters the Houthis have defending the Omari base, but it is in the mountains and in a very defensible area, which means that any military offensive intended to completely unseat them is likely to be bloody, and protracted. This of course is a big reason why, while the Houthis have lost most of southern Yemen already, they retain virtually the whole west coast. Posted: 08 Jan 2017 08:49 PM PST ISIS just destroyed the Hayyan Gas Company in Syria, leaving millions of Syrians without heat on Sunday.(We Are Change) — On Sunday, millions of Syrians were left without heat in frigid weather after ISIS destroyed a major gas factory, according to Al-Masdar News. The Islamic State’s official media outlet released video footage of terrorists planting explosives inside the Hayyan Gas Company factory in eastern Homs and then blew it up. This news comes as citizens of Damascus have already been without water for more than two weeks after Islamist rebels polluted the water in Wadi Barada.

| FBI Exposed for Letting Child Predators Walk Free Just to Keep its Hacking Tool Secret

In some cases, the FBI has reportedly run porn sites in order to gather information on child porn seekers. And in other instances, the FBI has infected suspects’ computers with malware, all in an effort to gather the evidence necessary for a conviction. Labeled “The Playpen,” the FBI’s kiddie porn sting operation on Friday saw the latest suspect to walk free. His name is Jay Michaud. His lawyer successfully argued in court that the FBI must turn over to his team of lawyers information regarding the Network Investigative Technique (NIT) it used to gather evidence on Mr. Michaud. The FBI said it would not turn over any information regarding NIT to the defense team, and the judge in the case, Judge Bryan then ruled all evidence gathered from NIT must be therefore suppressed. As a result of the FBI’s refusal to turn over any information about the NIT used to gather information on Michaud, the FBI then chose to let Mr. Michaud go free. According to Techdirt, this is a common practice for the FBI when forced to choose between handing over technical data or letting a suspect walk free.

There is an abundance of fake news out there, and today we are going to come back to reality, and we are going to take a look at the declassified CIA report that allegedly proves the Russians hacked the 2016 U.S. Election. Here are the top 3 facts that debunk the CIA’s “Russian Hacking” story: 1. The latest report still does not provide concrete evidence – The mainstream media is now scrambling to change its talking point from “Russian Hacking” to “Russian Influence,” because the latest report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence still lacks the proof needed to back-up the claim that the Russian government directed the hacking of DNC servers. Nevertheless, a story on the report from Gizmodo said, “This report contains some of the most damning and explicit language about Russia’s involvement in the election that we’ve seen so far from US intelligence officials.” Interestingly enough, when a mainstream media figure did attempt to point out the obvious lack of evidence, he was ridiculed as a result. CNN Host Michael Smerconish was ridiculed by his followers after he posted a Tweet that said, “Where’s the beef? Someone pls direct me to the evident? I want to see more. Intelligence Report on Russian Hacking.”
2. The DNI report debunks itself with curious disclaimer – The report includes a disclaimer, which says, “Some of our judgments about Kremlin preferences and intent are drawn from the behavior of Kremlin-loyal political figures, state media, and pro-Kremlin social media actors, all of who the Kremlin either directly uses to convey messages or who are answerable to the Kremlin.” As WikiLeaks noted, the report “has the curious disclaimer that it is based on watching TV shows and reading Tweets.”
While the mainstream media has claimed that “it looks like Russia hired internet trolls to pose as pro-Trump Americans,” it seems to have forgotten the fact that they are accusing Russia of doing exactly what Hillary Clinton did when they hired a paid army of online trolls. They are essentially saying the Russian are guilt of manipulating the election—just like Clinton! 3. The report used a show that ended two years ago, in order to prove “Russian influence” on the 2016 election – The report identified RT’s “Breaking The Set,” a show hosted by Abby Martin that aired from September 2012 to February 2015, as one of the main influences that pushed Americans to vote for Donald Trump. Once again, the allegations that have been made against RT could have also been made against Clinton. She was known to have “kept journalists in her pocket,” which included a Politico reporter sending his stories to the Clinton campaign for approval before sending them to his own editors, and a CNN analyst leaking debate questions to the Clinton campaign.
