British Intelligence Trips Over Its Own Lies
Jan. 11 (EIRNS)—The role of British intelligence in running the fraudulent campaign to paint Donald Trump as a dangerous agent of Russia and Vladimir Putin, who are supposedly subverting American freedom and democracy, has taken the proverbial “one step too far.” Remember Army chief counsel Joseph Welch, in the Army-McCarthy hearings in 1954, towards the end of the Truman/McCarthy anti-communist witch hunts? When McCarthy went after a young lawyer in Welch’s law firm as a Communist for having been in the Lawyer’s Guild, Welch replied: “Now, Sir, you have gone too far. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?” That exchange essentially finished off that portion of the filthy British operation to tear apart the Franklin Roosevelt legacy in America—although other British operations continued in other forms to this day.
Today, Donald Trump confronted our era’s “Joseph McCarthys,” in the U.S. press core, and within U.S. intelligence, while it was also exposed that this filthy operation has been run from the beginning by British intelligence. The release of a 35-page document by the website BuzzFeed and then promoted by CNN, the night before Trump’s press conference and 10 days before his inauguration, is full of hysterical claims which are easily provable as manufactured lies. Not only do they claim that Trump worked hand in hand with Putin to hack the DNC and Podesta’s e-mails, and spread the hacked e-mails via Wikileaks, but they claim that Trump was being blackmailed by Putin with videos of his cavorting with prostitutes in Russia, and even urinating on a hotel bed that Barack Obama had slept in.
In his press conference, Trump nailed the treasonous reality of this operation. If the scurrilous report had been released by the intelligence agencies, he said, then it “would be a tremendous blot on their record, if they in fact did that…. I think it was disgraceful—disgraceful that the intelligence agencies allowed any information that turned out to be so false and fake [to come] out. I think it’s a disgrace, and I say that, that’s something that Nazi Germany would have done, and did do. I think it’s a disgrace that information that was false and fake and never happened got released to the public.” When CNN demanded the right to respond to Trump’s denunciation of their participation in the scam, Trump cut them off: “Not you. Your organization is terrible.”
Trump did not, however, identify the source of the lies—the British intelligence agencies. The material is so clearly fraudulent that the New York Times, which has been at the center of the campaign to discredit Trump as a Russian asset, acknowledged that “The decision of top intelligence officials to give the President, the President-elect and the so-called Gang of Eight—Republican and Democratic leaders of Congress and the intelligence committees—what they know to be unverified, defamatory material was extremely unusual. The former British intelligence officer who gathered the material about Mr. Trump is considered a competent and reliable operative with extensive experience in Russia, American officials said. But he passed on what he heard from Russian informants and others, and what they told him has not yet been vetted by American intelligence.”
In fact, the Times reported Jan. 6 that the official report released last week by the U.S. intelligence agencies, which accused Putin of subverting the U.S. election, also came from British intelligence, which “raised an alarm that Moscow had hacked into the Democratic National Committee’s computer servers, and alerted their American counterparts.”
But this is what Lyndon LaRouche has reported for many, many years, regarding the subservience of U.S. intelligence, especially under Bush and Obama, to the British Empire. After all, it was the British who dragged the U.S. into war with Iraq based on Tony Blair’s “sexed up” intelligence reports on Saddam Hussein’s non-existent weapons of mass destruction; into a war on Libya based on British intelligence lies about Qaddafi and the al-Qaeda-linked Libyan “freedom fighters;” and the ongoing wars on Syria and Yemen based on lies from the same British-Saudi networks which are backing terrorists across Southwest Asia, to impose “regime change” on secular governments.
The British puppet Obama, who never misses an opportunity to praise the Queen and the “special relationship” between the U.S. and the British Empire, is going down. Helga Zepp-LaRouche has called for Obama to return his Nobel Peace Prize, as perhaps the most war-mongering President in the nation’s history, the first President to be at war every day of his administration, while carrying out extra-judicial murders by drones on a weekly basis for eight years.
Trump today said that “If Putin likes Donald Trump, guess what, folks? That’s called an asset, not a liability,” describing the urgency of cooperation in defeating terrorism. The same is true of friendship with China and Xi Jinping’s New Silk Road initiatives around the world, which Trump must also join as the core of U.S. foreign policy.
A team of over 20 members of the LaRouche Political Action Committee were on Capitol Hill today, mobilizing the Congress to immediately pass Glass-Steagall, calling especially on Democrats and Republicans to hold Trump to his pledge during the campaign to implement Glass-Steagall and re-direct U.S. credit to rebuilding the industrial and agricultural infrastructure, and restore the nations’ pursuit of fusion power, space exploration, and the frontiers of human knowledge. Nothing less can put the world back on a course worthy of human dignity for the human race.

Is British Intelligence Behind Anti-Trump/Putin Hoax?
Jan. 11 (EIRNS)—A fraudulent 35-page dossier, claiming that Russian intelligence has blackmail material on President-elect Donald Trump was released in the past 24 hours by the online BuzzFeed website, coinciding with Trump’s scheduled press conference and the start of confirmation hearings for two key Trump cabinet nominees—Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State and James Mattis as Secretary of Defense.
The back story on the fake dossier suggests that a British intelligence faction, hysterical over the Brexit vote and the Trump victory, is working with corrupt Obama-linked elements of the U.S. intelligence community to sink the Trump Presidency, and preemptively block improved U.S.-Russian relations, in what amounts to nothing less than an attempted color revolution in the United States.
The 35-page dossier, which is full of flagrant lies, some of which have been fully disproven and others which are based on anonymous sources, was first circulated among anti-Trump Washington circles in October. At that time, Democratic Party Senate Leader Harry Reid passed the report on to the FBI. In December, another Trump enemy, Sen. John McCain, also passed the dossier on to the FBI. Scores of Washington media had received the dossier in the autumn, before the elections, but the only public mention was a vague reference in a Mother Jones piece by David Corn. This week, CNN and other news outlets reported that a two-page “classified” document, based on the 35-page hoax, was presented to President Obama and to President-elect Trump, as part of their intelligence community briefings on the alleged Russian hacking of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Clinton campaign. BuzzFeed then posted the full 35 pages this morning, creating a news firestorm. However, almost immediately, it became clear that the dossier was a fraud, and news outlets began backing down from their assault on Trump and Putin.
It has been reported that the “dossier” was prepared by a former top official of MI6, working on behalf of a Washington opposition research firm, hired by a Trump Republican opponent (sources say the firm was working for the Jeb Bush campaign), and it was later shared with Democratic Party rivals of Trump—i.e., with Hillary Clinton’s people.
The 35-page document even mentioned a “Lyndon LaRouche delegation” to Russia in the summer of 2016, that was allegedly part of the Putin-Trump collusion. That fantasy delegation also was said to have included Gen. Michael Flynn and Carter Page, two close Trump advisors, and representatives of Jill Stein of the Green Party.
Late this afternoon, the Wall Street Journal identified the author of the dossier as Christopher Steele, a former MI6 officer who is now president of a London-based firm, Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd.
Russian Embassy: HM Government Aims at ‘Impending Official Anti-Russian Witch Hunt’
Jan. 11 (EIRNS)—Sputter as they may, the Russian Federation’s Embassy to the U.K. stung “Her Majesty’s Government” with a preemptive charge that “HMG” is both preparing an Obama-like official witch hunt against Russia, and is “also widely suspected of, and expected to, brief the incoming U.S. administration against Russia.” The statement posted to the Embassy website on Jan. 10 challenged the British media to publish the statement; all this prior to the news of British intelligence’s role in writing and circulating the latest scurrilous “Trump-Putin” memo.
It was not just what the Russian Embassy said, but its direct hits on the reason for the anti-Russia hysteria which struck a raw nerve in London. Organized around six points, the Embassy starts from the “why” of the witch hunt:
“1. Why now? Is it, like in the U.S., to provide grounds for a rerun of the June referendum [Brexit], now assumed to be tainted by Russian influence? Or is it to help save the status quo in Europe, under siege by the electorate demanding change? The British experience of this sort includes jingoism of the media at the time of the Crimean War, when Sidney Herbert was hounded for being a relation of Russia’s governor of Novorossiya.
“2. It seems that the Western elites will go to great lengths to save their own world with its Washington Consensus, Davos and austerity, even if it does no longer benefit anybody else. Its demise is presented as the end of the world, another twilight of Europe. This panic and hysterics is a response to the overall loss of control, which brought about war a hundred years ago. It is also a loss of control over the public debate, exercised by way of the Orwellian Newspeak of political correctness….”
Points three and four call out the role of the British special services in general, and former MI6 Director Sir Richard Dearlove by name in this game. Sir Richard “knows as nobody else,” the Embassy dryly noted, that “most of the damage to America and its place in the world was done by the George W. Bush Administration.” The former MI6 director quit the Cambridge Intelligence Seminar in mid-December, in protest of alleged “Russian” attempts to compromise the seminar.
The Russian statement goes on to the lies about Syria:
“5. What is untrue about Syria? That the Western intervention in Libya misled both the government and the opposition? That in 2012, when, by the way, the first convoy of jihadists arrived in Aleppo from Turkey, the U.S. outsourced regime change to its regional allies? That Islamic State was born about the same time? That the U.S.-led coalition didn’t bother about Nusra, affiliated to al-Qaeda? That the cause of the opposition, whatever it was, has been hijacked by terrorists? That the West was anticipating a fall of Damascus to ISIS in October 2015 and didn’t mind? That the British government’s harsh rhetoric on Syria is meant to cover up its complicity in the deliberate obliteration of Yemen to make it dependent on outside financial assistance in reconstruction?”
Point 6 reminds the world of the British role in appeasing Hitler, “experimenting with fascism, the Cliveden Set, Munich, all the way to the Phony War and Dunkirk.”

Another North Korean Opening to Trump on Disarmament
Jan. 11 (EIRNS)—North Korea’s Ambassador to Russia said that U.S. pressure was the only reason for North Korea to have nuclear weapons, Sputnik reported today.
Pyongyang’s Ambassador to Moscow Kim Hyun Joong said today, “Pyongyang expects the next U.S. Presidential administration to abandon Washington’s aggressive policy toward North Korea. It is not important for us who is the President of the United States. The most important thing is whether the new administration continues its hostile policy toward North Korea, which is anachronistic, or abandons it. The U.S. is the main reason for us to have nuclear armament; we develop our missile technologies because of the threat from Washington,” the North Korean Ambassador told RIA Novosti. The Ambassador continued, “Military pressure and economic sanctions turned North Korea into a military power that could strike the U.S.”
The North Korean Ambassador emphasized that U.S. President Obama refused to negotiate with North Korea, and only kept strengthening the pressure and sanctions against the country. “It only made our country strengthen its nuclear and military power. We could say that Obama’s [external] policy has failed, and now he is leaving. The new administration will follow in his footsteps if they continue to pursue the same policy.”
U.S. Marines Arrive In Norway
Jan. 11 (EIRNS)—A reinforced company of 285 Marines are landing in Norway, this week, on the heals of the arrival of the tanks and other equipment of the 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division at Bremerhaven, Germany, last week, which will soon be deployed to the Russian border. The Marines will be on a six-month rotation, allowing them to participate in much more intense training, especially in an Arctic environment, than might be possible otherwise. Later in the winter, they’ll be participating in a joint U.S.-U.K.-Norwegian exercise called Joint Viking. They will also get a chance to go to the Baltics.
The Marines will be based at the Vaernes Air Station, just outside of Trondheim in central Norway, where they will be drawing on a pre-positioned stock of tanks, trucks and other vehicles stored in air-conditioned caves. The storage facility dates back to 1982, but this will be the first time foreign troops have been stationed on Norwegian soil since the Nazi occupation during World War II. Russia has repeatedly taken note of the fact that NATO is engaged in the most massive mobilization of military forces on its border since the Nazi preparation for the invasion.

China-Built African Train Connecting Djibouti and Addis Ababa Begins Service
Jan. 11 (EIRNS)—A multibillion-dollar China-built rail line linking the Horn of Africa with the continent’s vast interior was officially launched on Jan. 10, an important milestone for China’s burgeoning influence in the region. The 750 km line connects the Red Sea port city Djibouti and Addis Ababa, the capital of landlocked Ethiopia, the fastest-growing economy in Africa. The railway is expected to reduce the travel time between the two cities, from three days by road to just 12 hours by train. It is also widely seen as the start of a trans-African railway project, in which a 2,000 km line will connect Djibouti, at the intersection of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, a gateway to the Suez Canal, and one of the world’s busiest shipping routes, across Africa to the Atlantic Ocean.
The railway was 70% financed by China’s Exim Bank and built by two large state-owned companies—China Civil Engineering Construction Corp. (CCECC) and China Railway Construction Corp. It is the latest symbol of China’s growing presence in Africa, a continent that has been traditionally under the colonialist influence of the West. The line was the first standard-gauge electrified railroad on the continent built with Chinese standards and technology.
During the inauguration ceremony yesterday morning, Yuan Li, the president of CCECC, said that launching the new railway was a “dream come true” and “another symbol of China-Africa friendship.”

Report from the Pentagon Says U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense Won’t Work
Jan. 11 (EIRNS)—At the same that the Obama war hawks have been pressuring allies, such as Japan and South Korea, to accept deployment of elements of the U.S. ballistic missile defense (BMD) system, the Pentagon has released a report, covered by Redstone, Alabama’s WAAY-TV, among other press yesterday, which slams the unreliability of the DOD’s ballistic missile defense technology. Each year, the Defense Department must issue an annual report from the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation, which is tasked with evaluating weapons system. The mid-course intercept program, made up of ground-based interceptors, has been under attack by previous DOD test and evaluation head Philip Coyle, who showed how nearly all the tests failed, regardless of what the DOD said. MIT’s Ted Postol has shown that the intention of the system was never to protect the United States from North Korea, or to protect Europe from Iran, but is instead targetted against China and Russia.
This new DOD report says that the “intercept flight tests have not adequately spanned the operational battlespace,” meaning, they do not reflect reality. Postol has pointed out, for example, that the decoys the opposing country would deploy would totally overwhelm the interceptors, which the tests have not accounted for. The report further states that “the reliability and availability of the operational (ground-based interceptors) are low, and the MDA continues to discover new failure modes during testing.”
As expected, Vice Adm. James Syring, head of the Missile Defense Agency, says he is “absolutely confident in our ability to defend the homeland from ballistic missiles.” Hopefully, our allies will read the report, and not DOD press releases.
