Houston Group Puts Up Another Billboard With Our Help (Nov 2014)

A group of activists called Stop Billions to Israel based in Houston have launched another billboard campaign, with financial support from the Albuquerque-based Coalition to Stop $30 Billion to Israel. Here is their statement (for more about this group, go to their website at www.stopbillionstoisrael.com).

“Stop Billions to Israel€ is a diverse group open to all who share the values of peace, freedom, equal rights, self-determination and justice for all. We strongly object when our tax money is spent in opposition to these values.

Presently — and since 1948 — Israel’s brutal atrocities against the Palestinians are flagrant violations of these values.

The U.S.A. gives a minimum of $3 billion to Israel at the beginning of each fiscal year. Congress has made a commitment to give $30 billion to Israel over a 10 year period.

Israel is by far the largest recipient in the world of U.S. foreign aid. It is a wealthy, independent self-declared “state” about the size of New Jersey. In our view it does not need massive “foreign assistance” financial aid.
