UN chief ‘deeply disappointed’ by Israel’s new West Bank construction

I-24 NEWS – UN chief Ban Ki-Moon on Monday slammed Israel’s decision to expand the construction of homes for Jews atsettlements in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem, his spokesman said. 

The UN leader is “deeply disappointed” that Israel’s announcement came days after a key international report warned that Israel’s settlement expansion and confiscation of Palestinian land were eroding the possibility of a two-state peace settlement, Stephane Dujarric said in a statement.
