The World Must Finally Acknowledge that the 2014 Maidan Was a U.S.-British-Controlled Fascist Coup
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—The continuing British coup attempt against the President of the United States, now in phase three—a fake impeachment investigation—can and must be crushed. To do so, it is not enough to show that there was no wrongdoing in President Donald Trump’s relations with Ukraine, nor even that the former government of Ukraine was involved in the desperate effort, led by the U.K.’s MI6, to interfere in the 2016 Presidential election to stop Trump from becoming President, and the subsequent effort to remove him. These are important steps, and some of the Republican members of Congress, especially Devin Nunes, are doing important work to expose that reality.
But to succeed, the far more important truth about the 2014 Maidan revolt in Kiev must be acknowledged, by the American political leadership and leaders around the world. That truth was fully exposed by EIRin its 18-page Dossier on Feb. 24, 2017, “How Obama and Soros Put Actual Nazis in Power in Ukraine.”
The intention was war. Obama’s hit-team for Ukraine was run by Vice President Joe Biden and the State Department’s Victoria Nuland, who bragged that the “regime-change” apparatus in the U.S. had spent $5 billion setting up and training anti-Russian NGOs. Unspoken, but not hidden in any way, was the fact that overtly neo-Nazi organizations and militias, waving the flag of the World War II fascist organizations, were the violent spear-point of the Maidan revolt. With the successful coup, the chaos that descended on Ukraine was blamed on Russia, as was every other imagined or manufactured evil in the world. Speaking at the Schiller Institute Conference in Europe this past weekend, economist Natalia Vitrenko, former Member of Ukrainian Parliament and leader of the Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine (PSPU), described how Ukraine went from being a leading industrial nation to an economic basket case, losing as many as 20 million of its 52 million population, ending up ranking last out of all 42 countries in Europe in per-capita income, at €1,830, compared to the European average of €14,739. This was the “success” of the Biden-Obama “democratic revolution” in Ukraine, a phenomenon being repeated in Hong Kong today, by many of the same subversive institutions in London and Washington.
Indeed, the target in Hong Kong is China itself, just as the target in Ukraine was Russia. The result, if allowed to continue, will be war, thermonuclear war.
Why would anyone want thermonuclear war? one may ask. The fact is that the financial explosion that nearly brought down the world economy in 2008 did not lead to the reorganization proposed by Lyndon LaRouche—restoring the Roosevelt regulations which had been taken down in the 1990s, ending the speculative casino economy in favor of credits for re-industrialization, infrastructure, and a return to space and nuclear energy. Instead, the speculators’ gambling debts were bailed out, and the casino economy thrived again, leaving us today with a bubble nearly double that of 2008, which could blow at any moment.
What the Lords of the City of London and Wall Street fear most is the new paradigm emerging at an incredible pace in the form of the China-Russia cooperation in the New Silk Road, which now includes over 150 nations, which see, many for the first time, a path to escaping poverty and backwardness, to becoming modern industrial nations. Trump’s insistence that being friends with Russia “is a good thing, not a bad thing,” and that Xi Jinping is a brilliant leader for his nation, terrify those Lords, as such cooperation would spell the end of the British Empire and the geopolitical division of the world for good. Better war than the end of Empire, scream the oligarchs.
Even worse, they fear, is the fact that Trump is so “un-disciplined” that, when the bubble bursts, he may not turn to Wall Street, but to LaRouche. Let us make that a certainty.
U.S. POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC
City of London Financial Times Hails, ‘Wall Street Thrills to Idea of Bloomberg for President’
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—The prospect of the Presidential candidacy of Sir Michael Mousolini Bloomberg is causing ecstasies in the City of London-Wall Street crowd. The Financial Times on Nov. 18 ran an article datelined from Washington and New York City, headlined, “Wall Street Thrills to Idea of Bloomberg for President.” This echoes such stateside hoopla for Bloomberg as an opinion column Nov. 8 in the New York Times, “Run, Mike, Run!” The coverage is as dissociated from the disdain for the billionaire held by most voters, as it is a blatant endorsement of Bloomberg because he backs the casino monetary system.
The Financial Times begins its coverage by quoting the infamous financial shark, “Stephen Schwarzman, the Blackstone founder and Wall Street powerhouse,” saying that when he heard that a “fellow billionaire was preparing to enter the race, he thrilled to the idea that a candidate was at last rallying to the capitalist cause in a contest he worries has drifted dangerously to the left….”
There are for sure, loonies on the left, but the FT is right in there with them. The article croons that a Bloomberg campaign will “offer pragmatic solutions” to such issues as climate change, “on which the former mayor has a long record.” This refers, of course, to Bloomberg’s signature campaigns, “Beyond Coal” (with the Sierra Club,) and “Beyond Carbon,” to eliminate all U.S. coal plants by 2030.
The FT stresses the value of Bloomberg’s riches for his election campaigning, reporting that on Nov. 15, “Mr. Bloomberg launched a $100 million online advertising campaign to target Mr. Trump in battleground states.”
The New York Times piece, by their columnist Bret L. Stephens, former Editor in Chief of the Jerusalem Post offers the argument, “A Bloomberg-Trump contest would be one between a maker and a faker.”
Senate Judiciary Hearings on Horowitz Report Findings on Justice Department Abuse on Dec. 11
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on Dec. 11 to examine the findings from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who indicated his report should be released this month. Horowitz has invited FBI and Justice Department witnesses interviewed as part of the investigation to review the report for accuracy, according to the Daily Caller.
Former CIA official Larry Johnson, who appeared with Barbara Boyd in the Oct. 31 LaRouchePAC “Fireside Chat” conference call webcast, posted a report on Pat Lang’s “Sic Semper Tyrannis” blog today under the title: “Will IG Horowitz Drop the Hammer on the FBI for FISA Abuse?” He writes that former FBI director Jim Comey and his deputy director Andrew McCabe will certainly be accused of criminal conduct, and that the principal targets whom Horowitz is allowing to review the report, “had to do so after signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement and were not permitted to submit written responses.”
Johnson quoted long excerpts from Attorney General William Barr’s speech to the Federalist Society on Nov. 15 (available in full on the Justice Department website), stating that Barr “understands that there has been an attempted coup against the Presidency of Donald Trump.” He also affirms that Bill Barr’s speech is a “reminder that we still have men and women of integrity and wisdom battling in the public sphere to uphold the essence of our Republic. Barr’s speech laid down a very clear marker of how he sees this battle for the soul of America. He is a man grounded in the law and committed to upholding it. He understands that justice must be blind and applied without bias if the fabric of this country is to remain intact.”
STRATEGIC WAR DANGER
Pompeo Spreads Manure All Over Southwest Asia
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—Yesterday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appeared in the State Department briefing room to, to put it charitably, spread manure around the Middle East. First, on Iran, Pompeo condemned what he said were “acts of violence committed by this regime against the Iranian people and [we] are deeply concerned by reports of several fatalities” and then demanded that “The Islamic Republic must cease violence against its own people and should immediately restore the ability of all Iranians to access a free and open Internet. The world is watching.” Secondly, Pompeo announced new sanctions against Iran because of President Hassan Rouhani’s announcement, earlier this month, that Iran would begin enriching uranium at its Fordow plant as the next step in the reduction of its commitments under the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action which the U.S. withdrew from in May of 2018. “Iran’s most recent action is yet another clear attempt at nuclear extortion that will only deepen its political and economic isolation from the world,” Pompeo claimed.
Then turning to Iraq, Pompeo announced that the U.S. would be using its legal authorities “to sanction corrupt individuals that are stealing Iraqis’ wealth and those killing and wounding peaceful protesters.” In discussing Iraq, however, not once did Pompeo mention that more than 300 demonstrators have died in the anti-government protests that began Oct. 1, as he did with respect to Iran. Pompeo also failed to mention that the roots of the crises in both countries lay in U.S. policies in Iraq with the 2003 invasion and subsequent occupation, and in Iran, with the U.S. withdrawal from the JCPOA and the reimposition of severe economic sanctions which have led to the collapse of Iran’s currency and the contraction of its economy.
To top it all off, Pompeo followed these crocodile tears for the people of Iran and Iraq with the announcement that the Trump Administration would be reversing the policy of several previous administrations to declare that “The establishment of Israeli civilian settlements in the West Bank is not per se inconsistent with international law.” His arguments were based on Israeli judicial opinions and “on the unique facts, history, and circumstances presented by the establishment of civilian settlements in the West Bank.” In December 2016, the UN Security Council passed a resolution affirming Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as a “flagrant violation of international law.” The U.S. abstention from that vote is what Pompeo is seeking to reverse.
New York Times Goes Overboard in Mega-Attack against Xi Jinping over Uighurs
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—A multi-thousand-word diatribe was published in the Nov. 17 Sunday New York Times under the title: “The Xinjiang Papers—’Absolutely No Mercy’: Leaked Files Expose How China Organized Mass Detentions of Muslims.” Compiled by the regular Times anti-China hit-men, Chris Buckley and Austin Ramzy, these sleuths were given (or purchased) about 400 pages of documents from 2015 containing speeches by Xi Jinping and others, and reports about Xi’s response to the outbreak of major terrorist attacks in Xinjiang in 2014 by terrorists trained by the Wahhabi networks in Pakistan and Southwest Asia.
While this is another side of the dangerous effort to justify the “all of society” attack on China and Chinese by FBI Director Christopher Wray, or even direct military confrontation as pushed by lunatics like Pompeo, the Times opus is nonetheless laughable to any serious reader. The report admits, in the words of Xi and others, that China would not respond to the Islamic terror with the methods of mass destruction, bombing and genocide that has utterly destroyed Iraq and Libya, leaving them in ruins with millions killed and displaced, but would combine massive economic development with the creation of internment camps which would detain (for an average of eight months) those showing influence from the radical Islamists, providing them with technical job training and classes in Chinese history and law, as well as Mandarin language training when needed.
As China is proud to report, there has been not a single terrorist incident since the program began, after attacks on civilians in 2014 left scores dead and hundreds wounded at markets and train stations. This has allowed for the people, Uighurs and others, to enjoy security and a rapidly expanding standard of living. As the Times reports, quoting Xi Jinping from 2014, following a visit to Xinjiang: “In recent years, Xinjiang has grown very quickly and the standard of living has consistently risen, but even so ethnic separatism and terrorist violence have still been on the rise. This goes to show that economic development does not automatically bring lasting order and security.”
Ironically, officials are quoted saying that there had been many terrorist attacks in London, and advised against the British method of putting “human rights above security,” advising that they follow the pattern of “America’s war on terror after the Sept. 11 attacks.” This clearly referred to the domestic clampdown on terrorism, rather than the genocidal wars in Southwest Asia.
More ironically, it was precisely the New York Times which was the leading cheer leader for the launching of criminal wars by Tony Blair, George Bush and Barack Obama, against nations which were in fact anti-terror, in service to the British Empire’s regime-change (colonial) policies so beloved by the neo-cons and neo-libs in Washington. They declare the “development and education” approach of the Chinese government as “ruthless and extraordinary.” Perhaps the Times would prefer that they bomb the entire region, as they so wildly supported doing in the Mideast?
But a careful reader will see that they could not cover up the real intent and positive results of the Chinese program:
• “The government sends Xinjiang’s brightest young Uighurs to universities across China.”
• Xi “likened Islamic extremism alternately to a virus-like contagion and a dangerously addictive drug, and declared that addressing it would require a period of painful, interventionary treatment…. As soon as you believe in it, it’s like a drug, and you lose your sense, go crazy and will do anything.” I.e., treat them, don’t kill them.
• “Xi told officials to not discriminate against Uighurs and to respect their right to worship.” They quote Xi at a meeting: “Some people have argued that Islam should be restricted or even eradicated,” but he told the meeting that this was “biased” and “wrong.”
• Xi “traced the origins of Islamic extremism in Xinjiang to the Middle East, and warned that turmoil in Syria and Afghanistan would magnify the risks for China. Uighurs had travelled to both countries, he said, and could return to China as seasoned fighters seeking an independent homeland, which they called East Turkestan.” In fact, the leader of the East Turkestan Independence Movement made several videos calling on Uighurs to rise up militarily against the Chinese government. That potential nightmare has been prevented through education and development.

Green Finance Is an Attempt To Avoid Collapse of the System, Says Analyst
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—EIR’s exposure of the “green finance” scam has reverberated today in an article by financial analyst Mauro Bottarelli, who wrote in Business Insider Italia that green finance policies are an attempt to bailout the bankrupt financial system.
Commenting on data published by the Institute of International Finance, according to which global debt will have grown to $255 trillion by the end of 2019, and a recession is threatening to blow out the corporate debt bubble, Bottarelli wrote “…a couple of dynamics put in quite a more drastic perspective the IIF data and the epilogue that their evolution outlines, coming closer to extreme recipes to avoid that collapse of the system (possibly ‘sold’ to the public through socially acceptable, multibillion [dollar] packages of green intervention against climate change).” [emphasis in original]
Moody’s Fears Coming Debt Crash in Europe Will Outdo 2008
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—Picking on the IIF report on the threat of explosion of the corporate debt bubble, Britain’s Daily Telegraph today quotes Moody’s analysts who say that Europe will be struck by an even larger wave of debt defaults in the next downturn compared to the 2008 financial crisis.
“The credit ratings agency warned that the proportion of B3-rated companies, those graded as ‘speculative’ quality, has doubled in Europe over just three years. The deterioration means the region will see ‘a much larger number of downgrades and defaults during the next cyclical downturn compared with the crisis in 2008-09,’ Moody’s said.”
“Egor Nikishin, an analyst at Moody’s, said a ‘less benign part’ of the economic cycle would raise doubts about the companies’ debt loads and their ability to generate cash.”

Russian Ambassador to Philippines Spends Two Hours in Dialogue on Butch Valdes Radio Show
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)— Igor Anatolyevich Khovaev, the Russian Ambassador to the Philippines, on Nov. 17 spent nearly two hours in dialogue with Butch Valdes, the head of the Philippines LaRouche Society, on Valdes’ weekly Sunday night radio show “Ang Ating Katipunan” on DZXL 558, broadcast throughout the Philippines and internationally on the internet (available on his Facebook page; Ambassador Khovaev appears at minute 15). Here are some notes from the powerful and wide-ranging discussion, which is also being transcribed.
Ambassador Igor, as he requested he be addressed, thanked President Rodrigo Duterte for his successful visit to Russia in October. He said that the Russian Honorary Consul in the Philippines, a Filipina, Mme. Armi Garcia, was awarded the Order of Friendship from President Vladimir Putin earlier this month, where Putin said that the Russians and the Filipinos were “long lost brothers and sisters.”
Among the issues Valdes and the Ambassador discussed were:
• Drugs. Ambassador Igor said we also have a severe drug problem in Russia. Drug production, heroin, in Afghanistan expanded by 30-fold after the invasion by the British and Americans in 2002, much of it then smuggled into Russia. We fully support your government’s war on drugs, and will share our experience and information. Like terrorism, drugs are an international problem, and cannot be solved by any nation alone. We must all work together. One problem is the approach of some countries, to legalize so-called soft drugs. Our government is very strict, we cannot accept any legalization, and we support your country’s approach. “There can be no compromise with evil.”
Butch Valdes: Some drug legalizers also promote regime change, like George Soros.
Ambassador Igor: It is logical that those who promote drugs, like Soros, also interfere with sovereign independent states. To us, both are absolutely unacceptable. Soros calls Russia his “enemy.”
• Currencies. Ambassador Igor: We are advocating the use of local currencies for trade, not because we do not like the U.S. dollar, but because the U.S. government has used the dollar as a tool for political pressure on independent states, so we can not accept it. It is time for some people in Washington to make relevant conclusion based on common sense.
• Nuclear and fossil fuels. Ambassador Igor: Russia not only has abundant oil and gas reserves, but very advanced technologies for exploration and extraction, in very difficult regions like the Arctic. “Only stupid people can call my country a ‘gas station’ ” (he was referring to a comment by the mindless Sen. John McCain, who called Russia a “gas station masquerading as a country.”) On nuclear power, “Russia has eight times as much electricity per capita as the Philippines,” so our objective is to help your terrible shortage. We are building nuclear power plants in 30 countries, both the safest and most economical. We have put forward a plan to restore the Bata’an nuclear plant and to build other facilities, which is on the table for the Philippines, but it is up to your government, and to public opinion, to agree.
Valdes: All our electrical power was privatized, production and distribution, causing the horrible shortage and outrageous prices for electricity. In Russia?
Ambassador Igor: This sector is run by the government. There are private companies, but this sector is strategic and for all the people, so the government keeps control.
• International order. Ambassador Igor: After the Cold War, all of us experienced uncertainties. The international economic system and the political system is a legacy of the Cold War. “Many elements, or even the system as a whole, should adapt to the new realities, new emerging centers of economic and political power. It’s an objective requirement.” There are those who are accustomed to a monopoly, dominance, and don’t want to lose their privilege. These huge economic projects, like the Belt and Road Initiative, can help those to accept the new realities, to understand there is no way back. The BRI is open to any country. “It is time to be unbiased, time to get rid of outdated clichés, to end the division of the world into friends and enemies. We fully support your country’s policy, ‘a friend of all, enemy of none.’ This is a good example for other nations, including your traditional allies.”
• Moon-Mars Project. Valdes posed that Trump’s Moon-Mars project was the basis for all nations with space programs to cooperate. Ambassador Igor: I’m deeply impressed by this project. But I say with regret that it looks like a dream. Russia has not been invited to participate. I agree with you—these projects unite nations, should never separate them. “There is humankind, so we should have common aims, we can put aside childish contradictions, stupid differences—I’m sorry for my undiplomatic language—stupid squabbles and disputes. We should have common aims, combine our efforts, our resources, our intelligence and financial resources.” If we are invited, of course, we will accept with gratitude. It would be a great breakthrough in the history of mankind, all of us would benefit. But I’m afraid the political environment in Washington is not ready. I’m not talking about President Trump, but the political environment.
• Strategic Defense of Earth. Ambassador Igor: “Let me repeat the wise words of Ronald Reagan when he visited Moscow in 1987: ‘If we Americans and the Soviet people have a common goal, and a few common enemies, we could forget all our differences and survive together.’ This is an example of an intellectual quality of the leaders in those times. Leaders 30 years ago in the U.S. were much smarter, more intelligence, more responsible. Now, unfortunately, many people in Washington forget that a bigger country is more responsible for peace and development. Big powers have no right to be selfish. They should think not only of their national interest, but their global interest. So, with the Strategic Defense of Earth, we have a common enemy. We should defend ourselves together. No one will survive on their own.”
• Belt and Road Initiative. Ambassador Igor: “The BRI is for everyone. The projects of the last U.S. administration, the Trans-Pacific and the Trans-Atlantic Partnerships, both were not open for everyone, only certain countries—not China, not Russia. This is not the basis for peace and development for our small world. It was an attempt to draw economic dividing lines, instead of connecting and collaborating, finding a common denominator. So I like dreams. Being a diplomat, I am not allowed to dream (laughs), but as a person I believe dreams must come true.”
• President Putin. Ambassador Igor discussed the “chemistry” between Putin and the Russian people, focused on the massive losses in World War II (“every family lost someone”), the destruction imposed on Russia under Yeltsin (“he listened too much to Washington”), and Putin’s strict defense of sovereignty, respect and independence for Russia.
• Ukraine. Ambassador Igor: This is very painful, since we think of Russia and Ukraine as one people. “Now it is divided—one part looks to the West, the other, bigger part, values the historical ties to Russia. There must be compromise, no dominance of one over the other. Unfortunately, our Western partners don’t understand that. For them, their aim is to have Ukraine as a tool for political pressure against Russia.”
SCIENCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Apollo 15 Astronaut Warns Artemis Moon-Mars Exploration Endangered by Anti-Trumpers
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—Al Worden, the Apollo 15 command module pilot, speaking to CNBC at the Dubai Air Show on Nov. 18, said he was worried about the future of President Donald Trump’s Moon-Mars mission. “Every four years we have a turnover in the country. Right now, we’re on an upswing—President Trump has said ‘let’s go back to the Moon.’ The problem we have is that it’s different from when JFK was President. When JFK was President, he had the support of the country, Congress and everybody, and he could get it done. Trump, or Pence or whoever, says ‘let’s go back to the Moon by 2024’—Congress has got to supply the money, and they’re probably not going to do thatbecause they are so anti-President Trump. Unfortunately, I think there’s a large segment of the population in the U.S. that’s more interested in Trump than they are in what’s good for the country.”
Expressing his own positive vision of mankind’s future in space, Worden said: “It’s my belief that as we go farther into space it’s going to get more and more expensive, and no one country is going to want to do it on their own. I think space is going to force cooperation between countries, and I think that’s a good thing.” He noted the close cooperation between the U.S. and Russia in the International Space Station, adding: “I think as we go further we’re going to go back to the Moon, we’re going to go to Mars, but then we’re going to go beyond that—it’s going to require lots and lots of countries to get it done.”

The Satanic Pope Ponders a New ‘Ecological Sin’
Nov. 19 (EIRNS)—“We must introduce—we are thinking—into the Catechism of the Catholic Church the sin against ecology, the ecological sin against the common home, because it’s a duty,” Pope Francis told a meeting of legal experts in the Vatican on Nov. 15, according to the Wall Street Journal. This is in keeping with the Pope’s open cooperation on matters of “ecology” with people dedicated to reducing the world’s population by several billion at least, such as Hans Joachim Schellnhuber CBE, who believes the Earth can only carry less than 1 billion. Schellnhuber was a principal contributor to the Pope’s perverse encyclical Laudate Si’. That encyclical essentially argued for a zero-carbon economy, destroying industry and industrialization worldwide.
The Journal writes: “In 2016, the Pope added environmentalism, or care for our common home, to the Catholic Church’s traditional seven works of mercy. He also added it to the Beatitudes, the core set of Christian ideals such as meekness and mercy enunciated by Jesus in the Bible, saying: ‘Blessed are those who protect and care for our common home’…. The pope also urged the assembled jurists to work for adequate legal protection of the environment through sanctions against corporations that pollute.” Pollution, to these fanatics, means carbon, not actual pollutants.
