Why Trump’s DOJ is accusing WND’s chief critic of criminal fraud

| Recently, we shared with you the mind-boggling inside story of how NewsGuard – the media-rating company that claims to objectively rate news organizations’ “credibility” and “trustworthiness” – has been in reality, as three separate federal investigations now contend, all about putting conservative news organizations like WorldNetDaily out of business. |
| We explained how the Trump administration is now publicly revealing what we at WND (having been on the receiving end of this abuse for years) long have known – that NewsGuard’s real objective has been to persuade lucrative advertisers to boycott conservative news outlets like ours. Their strategy worked: Absolutely essential ad revenue, on which we depended for years, vanished. |
| Then the next shoe dropped, as the Trump administration blew the whistle on another super-wealthy leftwing organization which has openly been out to destroy WorldNetDaily for years: The Southern Poverty Law Center. |
| As a Justice Department indictment against the SPLC revealed, this self-righteous and very famous group, which for decades has promoted itself as exposing dangerous extremist groups, has actually been FUNDING these very groups – including the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazis, and then engaging in criminal activity to cover it up! All this while falsely maligning decent, pro-American, Christian organizations like WorldNetDaily as hateful “extremist groups.” Heck, the SPLC even put beloved pediatric brain surgeon and presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson – frankly one of the most decent Christian people you’ll ever know – on its “extremist watch list,” alongside neo-Nazis and white supremacists. (After a massive public uproar, the group removed Carson from their list and apologized.) |
| Today, President Trump is calling the SPLC “one of the greatest political scams in American history.” In fact, just a few days ago, a brand-new Alabama grand jury indictment revealed that the SPLC actually paid money to make Ku Klux Klan robes and hoods … and even financed CROSS BURNINGS! Yes, really. |
| So, here we have one of the most duplicitous organizations around – long occupying a position of tremendous influence – describing WorldNetDaily this way: “An online publication founded and run by Joseph Farah that claims to pursue truth, justice and liberty. But in fact, its pages are devoted to manipulative fear-mongering and outright fabrications designed to further the paranoid, gay-hating, conspiratorial and apocalyptic visions of Farah and his hand-picked contributors from the fringes of the far-right and fundamentalist worlds.” |
| Of course, to radical leftwing influencers, “far-right and fundamentalist” is code for “conservative and Christian.” |
| So yes, SPLC really doesn’t like WorldNetDaily and has even labeled us “an anti-government extremist group.” (We honestly have no clue what that could possibly even mean.) And SPLC has also reported – get ready for this one – that WND “has boosted a number of articles featuring antisemitic dog whistles.” Beg your pardon, but you will not find a more consistently pro-Israel and NON-antisemitic major Western news site on the entire world wide web. |
