Seriously? Her brother just died and she was grieving. Perfectly normal to lash out at some cow who was nothing but nasty to you but then writes a “nice” message publicly.

SJP has always been represented by Hollywood’s most powerful agent, Kevin Huvane. He’s been with her since Square Pegs. When she did SATC, it was her return to TV since SP because she’d spent a decade making movies. He ensured she would get producing credits on SATC every season, which resulted in her becoming a Co-Executive Producer in the later season. He also ensured none of the other women would earn as much as her. End of. That was all agreed upon by HBO prior to hiring Kim, Cynthia, or Kristin. Apparently, Kristin earned the most after SJP because of her recent stint on Melrose Place; Kim came in third since she wasn’t a big movie star anymore; and Cynthia was last because she was a theatre actor. Let’s not forget that HBO wanted Kim for Samantha, but she kept turning it down (they even hired an actress for the role!) until Darren Starr’s boyfriend, who was her friend, convinced her to do the show. Then Darren Starr, her ally, leaves after Season 3. Kim is stuck on a show she never really wanted to do while SJP’s contract curtailed her earnings and SJP essentially became her boss. That’s probably why people don’t like SJP because of her pre-negotiated power which seemed like it was underhanded, but a product of a very savvy agent.

I’ve heard from reliable sources her hubs is on the DL, which I think contributes to their long lasting marriage. NO JUDGEMENT at all but it seems to be more of a business relationship than a marriage with intimacy. I’m sure they love each other tons and when a person can go out and get their physical needs taken care of I’m sure that makes a marriage much more manageable.

You were careful not to point out the disparity in pay: By season 6, Sarah made 10x each of her other costars, $3.2 million/ep vs. $350k/ep for Cynthia, Kim and Kristen. KIm asked MPK and SJP for pay parity for ALL for actresses when it came to both movies and every time they said no. Greedy mfs.

Checked w/ ChatGPT and in SATC S1, they were all making about the same $40-50K per episode. After S3, SJP was given Executive Producer credit, making $350-400K/episode, Kim about $150-200K, and Kristin/Cynthia $ 100- 125 K. Per ChatGPT Kim did want more credit/power in decisions, and that is what led to the “rift.” But in AJLT SJP, Cynthia and Kristin all make the same – $1M per episode and get EP credit (reason why they are so pro-SJP and coddle her). Kim negotiating for more power/credit was completely what she should have done (and did). If she were a man, no one would’ve batted an eye. Kim had to do a LOT more nude scenes – don’t recall SJP doing a single one. AJLT is absolutely failing without Kim – and ofc Cynthia and Kristin are going to coddle SJP b/c this has been their only gig in years and they were given more than what Kim had negotiated for in the SATC days.

Comment:  Actresses get way more pay for nude scenes in general.  The fact AJLT Failed without Kim Cattrell and SJP does not seem to have much of a career these days says it all.  I think she expected Kim Cattrell to work for cheap while she pocketed $50 million or more on the sequel and that did not happen lol.

She didn’t support the other women getting paid their due and she’s extremely obnoxious and out of touch.

  2. Kim C advocated for higher pay for not only herself, but the other ladies as well. SJP said no.

I don’t hate SJP I do think she dominated SaTC and saw it as her show as she was the leading lady even though the show would be nothing without the group of them. I think she was intimidated in a sence by Samantha as she’s a fabulous actress and was not prepared to sit in the background unlike the other two who were happy to stay in the shade she fought her corner and rightly show I mean the show is nothing without Sam/Kim . SJP if rumours were to be believed mean girled her after that on set . The fact she tires SO HARD to be liked by the public in the aftermath SO hard to be silkily sweet nice girl next door comes across as well fake and is off putting to most . Her character Carrie is also written as intolerable self-centred and not a good friend to her loyal friends so that doesn’t help
