Hello, my name is Kaitlyn; I am reaching out for my friend Faten Al Hanawi and her child Amir, a brave three-year-old boy from Gaza who desperately needs your help.

In October 2023, Amir’s life changed forever. A bomb hit his family’s home in northern Gaza, leaving him severely injured. Born with severe birth defects caused by exposure to white phosphorus during his mother’s pregnancy, Amir now faces unspeakable suffering: he needs prosthetic limbs to lead a normal life.

Amir is a little boy with big dreams. He watches his older brother Tamer run and play, and asks his mother: “Mommy, when will I walk like Tamer?” But instead of an answer, his family is faced with the painful reality that they cannot afford the medical care he desperately needs.

The costs of transportation, specialized medical care, and prosthetics are too high for a family already living in one of the most difficult parts of the world.

That’s why I launched a campaign to give Amir a chance to take his first steps and live the childhood every child deserves.
