Sadly, this story holds more truth than one might wish to believe. This is what happens when selfish, deceitful children take advantage of you, and you, out of love or obligation, continue to give. Their children learn the same behavior, expecting handouts just as their parents did. And when there’s nothing left to give, they simply walk away, no longer needing you. Many of my friends share similar experiences with their own children. It’s heartbreaking to see what they become, isn’t it?

I have a real son I raised him until he moved out.i move heaven and earth for him and my grandchildren i even gave my so my house all he had to do was keep up the payments it worked for a few years untill he came to me and brought me a letter saying they was foreclosed on my house.my sons wife got his mother’s in laws home moved out and my grandchildren stayed.so i sold my house to the grandchildren.now my son wont even talk to me not even my grandkids.all i was to them was a free house to them and A T M mechanic to them so i told them no more.now i never hear from them.
You’re right about saying he is not a young child anymore. An 18 year old man should be able to detach from his parent to make a life for himself and his wife. Ethan never was even grateful for saving his life in the first place.
Sadly I can relate. My son and daughter believed their fathers lies. My daughter has not spoken to me for more than 12 years. Both children born in South Africa. My ex husband in Australia. I cashed in all my policies in South Africa to bring us all to Australia. My ex told the kids that I had spent all his money. He moved in with me and all he had was a old battered suitcase and a plastic bag with clothing. Sadly my children were manipulated by a narsassist who prayed on their young minds. My son has recently become a father, and thankfully has seen his father for what he is, but sadly my daughter has not. I still pray that her eyes will open to the truth, but can never have a relationship with her again.
