Donald Trump has said that he will put sanctions on Russia if they refuse to negotiate a deal on the Ukraine war.
I’m not even sure what sanctions he could apply on Russia. The West has slapped numerous rounds of sanctions on them.
He’s basically getting fed false information about what’s happening over there. He’s in no position to bully Russia with threats.
The best course of action is to negotiate a peace and end the war even if concessions have to be made to Russia. That in of itself would represent a victory.
