Self-proclaimed Liar Pompeo Declares War on US Education System
November 24, 2022 (EIRNS)—In an interview with Semafor.com on November 21, that was reported in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal, ex-CIA director and Secretary of State during the Trump administration, and current possible candidate for President, Mike Pompeo, declared war on U.S. education. After leaving the CIA, Pompeo described his responsibility there by announcing, “I was the CIA director, we lied, we cheated, we stole. We had entire training courses.” With those qualifications, he informed Semafor that American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten was the most dangerous person in the world, because she was responsible for the state of education in the United States.
Pompeo said: “If our kids don’t grow up understanding America is an exceptional nation, we’re done.” What Pompeo means by “exceptional” is seen in his comments about the CIA, and in his support for every genocidal undeclared war the U.S. has undertaken in his life-time. That includes Iraq, about which his predecessor Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, in an interview with CBS broadcaster Leslie Stahl, acknowledged murdering 500,000 children in the mass bombing of Iraq and its aftermath. That was justified, then and now, by the known falsehood that Iraq had hidden weapons of mass destruction. Knowing that lie, Albright told Stahl that the genocide against Iraqi children, and, seemingly hundreds of thousand others, was “worth it.”
