Mueller’s Crimes: Ran Get LaRouche Task Force; Covered for Saudi 9/11 Terrorists; Runs Get Trump Task Force

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—Executive Intelligence Review News Service will release on Thursday, in this week’s EIR, a dossier titled “Robert Mueller Is an Amoral Legal Assassin:  He Will Do His Job If You Let Him.” The dossier demonstrates that the ongoing coup attempt against President Donald Trump is being run by the same people who imprisoned Lyndon LaRouche in the 1980s and who prevented the exposure of the role of the Saudis and their British controllers in the terrorist attack on the United States on 9/11/2001. The intention in all three criminal and traitorous acts was to prevent the United States from breaking from the British Empire, returning to the American System of political economy, and joining forces with Russia and China—our allies in defeating fascism in World War II—to defeat the international terrorist apparatus of today, so as to work together in building the world through the New Silk Road process, now being implemented under Chinese leadership.

EIR and its founder Lyndon LaRouche call on all citizens of the world to circulate this dossier widely, as the necessary means of preventing the further descent into chaos and war.

The American population has demonstrated their disgust with the failed effort to claim Russia stole the election from the gullible Americans, and the equally failed effort to portray Trump as both a Russian puppet and a white supremacist. All that is left is the British Star Chamber run by Robert Swan Mueller III, based on his fraudulent appointment as special prosecutor, and the fraudulent document prepared by British MI6 agent Christopher Steele about Trump’s supposed subservience to Russian blackmail.

The FBI is now openly obstructing justice by refusing to turn over to the U.S. Congress the documents relating to their cooperation with British Intelligence agent Steele.

The election in Germany on Sunday saw the collapse of the two parties which have led Germany since World War II, rendering Germany—until now the only relatively stable nation in Europe —in an ungovernable state of chaos. Helga Zepp-LaRouche, whose candidacy for Chancellor was blacked out by the European press (even while being interviewed prominently in the Chinese German- and English-language press!), evaluated that this was yet another demonstration that the austerity and economic hardships imposed by the bankrupt Anglo-American financial system has turned the citizens of Europe and the U.S. against all forms of the failed post-war leadership. This was evidenced by the Brexit, by the Trump election, by revolts against the EU in southern Europe, and now by the breakdown in Germany.

The alternative is clear before us all, as presented by LaRouche’s Emergency Plan to restore the American System in the West, and by the United States fully engaging in the New Silk Road process of global win-win development. It is precisely because President Trump has indicated an intention to do both these things that the British and their hit-men on Wall Street and in the leftover Obama intelligence community are frantically trying to depose him.

The Schiller Institute, founded and chaired by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, will escalate its campaigns in the U.S. in the coming days. A weekly address by Mrs. LaRouche, in English, will spearhead a drive to recruit and educate the angry American population, not to simply resist, but to draw on the creative thinkers who gave us modern civilization—e.g., Plato, Confucius, Cusa, Leibniz, Kepler, Bach, Beethoven, Schiller, Vernadsky, Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton—to implement the necessary program for the future of humanity based on the dignity of Man. The LaRouche Political Action Committee (LaRouche PAC) will also launch a class series, open to the world, on the economic and scientific method of Lyndon LaRouche, as the necessary armament in the battles ahead. Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s advice: “Go like warrior angels!”

House Intelligence Ranking Democrat Unwavering, Backs Unconstitutional British Coup

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—The House Intelligence Committee will hold an open hearing this Thursday, Sept. 28, on the FBI and Department of Justice’s refusal to hand over requested documents on FBI relations with MI6 operative Christopher Steele and his discredited, lying “dossier” on Donald Trump and the Russians. There is no word yet on who will be called as witnesses.

That these documents were even requested outrages the ranking Democrat on the committee, the unfortunate Rep. Adam Schiff of California, who stands by British agent Steele and the “Russia is our enemy” operation. Schiff told CBS News’ ”Face the Nation” on Sept. 24, regarding the upcoming hearing, that “I think what is really at heart is an effort to discredit Mr. Steele; in an essence also to put the government on trial as a way, I think, of distracting our focus from looking into what Russia did during the election.”

Schiff also adamantly denied that CNN’s report that the Trump Towers apartment of then-Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort had indeed been wiretapped, confirmed the President’s famous tweet that Obama had illegally ordered him wiretapped. Schiff continued without missing a  beat, that if President Obama had ordered Trump wiretapped, it would not have been illegal anyway! In his words: “The President suggested that Barack Obama was illegally wiretapping him. If the Obama Administration was engaged in legal surveillance of someone they believed may have been an agent of a foreign power, we should want the administration to do that, and that’s a far cry from the kind of illegal surveillance the President was suggesting.”

NFL Teams in London—Kneel for Star-Spangled Banner, Stand for God Save the Queen

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—The insanity of Hollywood actors calling for Trump’s assassination and athletes refusing to stand for the National Anthem reached a very revealing point of absurdity on Sunday when the National Football League scheduled its first official game to be played in London. Most of the players and coaches from the two teams, from Baltimore (where the Star-Spangled Banner was composed) and Jacksonville, either knelt or locked arms for the singing of the U.S. National Anthem, then promptly stood up, some with hand-on-heart, for the singing of God Save the Queen.

Do these pathetic “heroes” of America know what they are doing? Were they even taught that the British ran slavery and drugs; organized the Confederacy to bust up the United States and preserve the slave system; are responsible for the destruction of FDR’s American System which has destroyed our industries and our cities and driven the Black population (among others) into despair; and are now orchestrating a coup against the U.S. government?

Jim Brown, a player, an actor, and an activist, had the courage to call out this duplicity. While speaking to his old team, the Cleveland Browns, he was interviewed by ThePostGame, which asked him what he thought about NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who started the protest by kneeling during the National Anthem at a game last year, and now can’t get hired. “Colin has to make up his mind if he’s truly a football player, or truly an activist,” Brown said. “Football is commercial—you have owners, you have fans, and you want to honor that if you’re making all that money…. You can always be an activist and a football player, but you have to understand that there is intelligence involved…. I’m an American, I don’t desecrate my flag or my National Anthem. This is my country, and I’ll work out the problems, but I’ll do it in an intelligent manner.”

Roger Stone Testifies in Closed-Door Session of the House Intelligence Committee

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—Roger Stone, the advisor to Donald Trump who has interviewed and praised Lyndon LaRouche, testified today in a three-hour, closed-door session of the House Intelligence Committee. He had asked for a public session, but the Committee insisted it be closed.

He met with the press after the testimony. CNN reports that he told the press that he had denied any Russian collusion or knowledge of the hacking of John Podesta’s email. In his testimony, Stone attacked three Democrats on the panel, including Ranking Member Adam Schiff of California: “Multiple members of this committee have made false allegations against me in public session in order to ensure that these bogus charges received maximum media coverage. Now, however, you deny me the opportunity to respond to these charges in the same open forum. This is cowardice.”

The one question Stone would not answer was to give the name of the journalist who was his intermediary with Julian Assange, since it was an off-the-record conversation. He said he would ask the journalist to release him from the off-the-record agreement.

In his 47-page opening statement, Stone says that allegations that Russia was responsible for hacking the Democratic National Committee were unproven. “I understand the committee’s interest in me, I use all clauses of the First Amendment to achieve my goals, I am out there, I am provocative and partisan, but let’s be clear: I have no involvement in the alleged activities that are within the publicly stated scope of this committee’s investigation—collusion with the Russian state to affect the outcome of the 2016 election,” Stone says.

In a statement released before the hearing, Stone said: “While some may label me a dirty trickster, the members of this committee could not point to any tactic that is outside the accepted norms of what political strategists and consultants do today. I do not engage in any illegal activities on behalf of my clients or the causes in which I support. There is one trick that is not in my bag, and that is treason.”

In his prepared testimony, Stone cites the report from the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), demonstrating  that showing there was no hacking of the DNC computers. He attacks the intelligence community for being against Trump because of his opposition to expanding the war in Syria and the policy of regime change. He attacks their credibility for being wrong on weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in Iraq, their use of metadata for spying, the use of torture in Iraq, and also wrong on North Korean missile capabilities. He said that it was Ukraine, not Russia, which tried to determine the outcome of 2016 election.

In the press conference afterwards Stone called for firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller on the grounds that he was being considered to replace Comey as FBI director.

STRATEGIC WAR DANGER

U.S.-Russian Military Tensions on the Rise in Syria

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—Yesterday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov laid the death of a Russian three-star general in Deir Ezzor, Syria at the door step of the U.S. military. The Defense Ministry reported that Lt. Gen. Valery Asapov, said to have been leading a group of Russian military advisors providing Syrian commanders with assistance during the operation aimed at liberating the city of Deir Ezzor, was killed by ISIS mortar shelling on Sept. 24. “The tragedy that we witnessed, the death of a Russian commander, is the price paid in blood for this double-dealing in the U.S. policy [in the war on terror],” Ryabkov said, reported TASS. Russia is concerned by the fact that the United States demonstrates the opposite of its declared intention to eliminate the ISIS/Daesh terrorist group, Ryabkov went on. “This fact is evident and it is very worrisome, we were convinced yet again that the U.S. side, declaring verbally that it is interested in eliminating Daesh and defeating terrorists in Syria, in practice demonstrates the opposite, that in the end of the day some political and geopolitical tasks are more important for Washington than what has been declared in the counterterrorist fight,” he said.

The U.S., not surprisingly, is denying the Russian accusations. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said that the United States will continue to de-conflict operations with Russia, and recent statements made by the Russian officials are “untrue and unhelpful.”

The U.S.-led coalition is also denying the Russian Defense Ministry accusation, made on Sept. 24, that the U.S. is helping the Syrian Democratic Forces cross ISIS territory without fighting ISIS. A coalition spokesman told TASS that the statement is false, and that the Russians ought to stop talking about the locations of U.S. forces on the ground in Syria for the sake of speeding up the defeat of ISIS.

The Russians, in turn, denied that its aircraft had attacked the SDF in Deir Ezzor province. Defense Ministry spokesman Gen. Igor Konashenkov said, yesterday, that Russian Aerospace Forces only attack militant targets identified through reconnaissance and other means.

The Russian air contingent in Syria is also engaged in a furious bombing campaign against Al Nusra in Idlib province, for which they’re being accused of bombing civilians, accusations which are apparently originating from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in London. “The aircraft of Russian Aerospace Forces do not strike settlements in the Syrian Arab Republic. The statements of the Observatory citing unnamed ‘witnesses’ and ‘volunteers’ are unsubstantiated as usual and serve as ‘information cover-up’ for actions of Al Nusra Front militants,” Konashenkov said. Konashenkov explained that Russian targets included underground bases of militants, located far from residential neighborhoods, as well as field ammunition depots, armored vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems and sweatshops for loading guns on cars.

COLLAPSING WESTERN FINANCIAL SYSTEM

Glass-Steagall Quick! Citigroup Has Revived Collateralized Debt Obligations Market

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—Remember the infamous derivatives bets dubbed “collateralized debt obligations”—CDOs—and their role in the 2008 financial collapse? In 2013, Citigroup, one of the biggest beneficiaries of the bank bailout, set out to revive the CDO market, and now BNP Paribas and other banks are itching to get in on it, Bloomberg reports today.

Don’t worry, these new “complex derivatives that let buyers make big, leveraged bets on the health of corporate America” are “fundamentally different” than those sold before the 2008 crisis. Citigroup promises it has today’s “synthetic CDOs” structured so that no one loses, and CDO buyers can reap returns of 20% or more.

In a brazen lie, Bloomberg adds that “few see corporate defaults surging any time soon!”

The market is still small, but Citi’s “correlation and exotics” trading business grew by double-digit amounts in the past year, and “senior management has enlisted the bank’s global sales force” at all levels to convince “wary investors” to buy their CDOs.

Bankers Fear the ‘Terrifying Prospect’ of Banking System Collapse

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—Bloomberg news service published an op-ed today by Bloomberg and La Repubblica columnist, and former Financial Times editorial board member Ferdinando Giugliano which reflects the frantic discussion going on in banking circles about what politicians ignore and the public is not told: The “terrifying prospect” of a collapse of the trans-Atlantic financial system.

“Many economists fear the financial system remains exceedingly vulnerable to shocks,” Giugliano wrote. He singles out three areas of vulnerability these economists are focused on: bank capital levels not being anywhere near sufficient for the amount of leveraged debt held by those banks, the banks use of “risk weights” to cover their actual situation, and the fact that commercial and investment banking have not been split.

On the latter, like others in his circles, Giugliano is not talking about the necessary full Glass-Steagall separation, but deludes himself that British “ring-fencing” or the U.S. Volcker Rule might somehow mean something in a crash.

Giugliano cites presentations given at the Sept. 22 conference on “Ten Years After the Crisis: Looking Back, Looking Forward,” sponsored by the Centre for Economic Policy Research, held (appropriately enough) at the Imperial College Business School in London. That must have been a doozy of a conference; according to the CEPR website, the opening address on financial stability was given by former Italian Prime Minister and British agent Mario Monti.

The two speakers referenced by Giugliano were John Vickers, former head of Britain’s Independent Banking Commission who pushes “ring-fencing” to protect merchant banks against Glass-Steagall, and Tamim Bayoumi of the International Monetary Fund. Vickers reportedly spoke of how regulators now accept “a level of leverage which is still around 25 or 30 times a bank’s .PAGE core capital.” Bayoumi detailed how “banks learned to game the system” after the 1996 decision by the Basel Committee to allow banks to use their own internal models for the valuation of risks, piling up “assets simply by tweaking their risk-models.” This means that there is no guarantee that if regulators were to toughen required leverage ratios, that a new financial crisis can be avoided, Giugliano warns. “Not only are we asking banks to hold too little capital, but we are also underestimating how problematic their exposures really are.

“The fear, therefore,” he continues, “is that sooner rather than later, governments may again be called upon to rescue a troubled bank. And here lies the third dangerous similarity with the pre-crisis world: Many Western countries have proven unable to separate investment banking from commercial lending. As a result, even if governments only wanted to keep the latter going, in many cases they will be forced to rescue everything, as it is impossible to split the two.”

Unless, of course, Glass-Steagall measures are adopted now.

THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER

Trump Raises Federal Puerto Rico Funding; San Juan Mayor Insists, ‘People Come Before Debt’

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump today authorized an increase in the level of Federal funding for Puerto Rico, for the next 180 days. Although no dollar amount was specified, a White House declaration stated that cost-sharing would be increased to 100% Federal funding for debris removal and emergency protective measures, “including direct Federal assistance.”

Early this morning, the President tweeted that Puerto Rico was devastated, with literally no infrastructure left, and pointed to the billions of dollars in debt it owes to Wall Street banks, which, he said, “sadly must be dealt with.” While it’s unclear exactly what Trump meant by “must be dealt with,” San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz immediately responded by emphasizing that “you don’t put debt above people; you put people above debt.” She nonetheless had high praise for FEMA, saying it was doing a “great job” with its “logistics help. Our bodies are so tired, but our souls are so full of strength that we will get to everyone we can get to,” she said. Trump immediately tweeted back, thanking her for her remarks.

The White House announcement on the increase in Federal funding would appear to be a response to Gov. Ricardo Rosselló’s request yesterday that “unprecedented” Federal aid be made available to Puerto Rico, because of the magnitude of the reconstruction effort and the logistical challenges involved in distributing needed relief supplies, given flooding, road blockages, and lack of electricity and communications. Rosselló also said that he hoped the Federal government would also allow Puerto Rico necessary “flexibility” in managing and requesting Federal aid, given the complexities of the situation.

In his press conference yesterday, Rosselló profusely thanked Trump for his administration’s prompt response in aiding Puerto Rico, and further commended him today in a series of tweets for his “leadership, quick response and commitment to our people.” He had nothing but good things to say about FEMA’s work on the island.

In remarks to the press today from the White House, Trump announced that he will visit Puerto Rico next Tuesday, Oct. 3, noting that he had put off visiting earlier for fear of disrupting first responders and relief work. According to the White House report, Trump pointed to the enormity of the devastation on the island, particularly the destruction of infrastructure, and said that massive amounts of aid are going to the island “on an hourly basis.” In response to a question about whether the island is getting all the help it needs, he replied that Puerto Rico “is very important to me…. I grew up in New York, so I know many people from Puerto Rico … these are great people and we have to help them…. They are hearty people, and they’ll be back.”

Shanghai Belt and Road Conference Focuses on Overcoming Bottlenecks

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—A “Belt and Road Communication Conference for Industrial Cooperation” brought 47 officials in charge of planning, finance and business from 16 countries together with Chinese scholars on Sept. 22 in Shanghai, for nitty-gritty discussion of the problems and potential arising from nations joining together to build the Belt and Road. This conference, one of many which are being held to deepen cooperation on this great transformative project, was co-sponsored by the International Silkroad Institute at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) and the CIFAL Shanghai International Training Center.

According to the report in Shanghai Daily today on the conference, the International Silkroad Institute’s mission is to provide a public cooperation platform to serve the Belt and Road countries. Its dean, Zhou Yiping, told the conference that he hopes to integrate the Belt and Road with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. “Most countries along the Belt and Road are still in the initial stage of industrialization, and show strong market potentials and volition to use foreign investment. So far, China has already set up over 50 cooperation zones in 20 Belt and Road countries, with accumulated investment of $18.6 billion,” Zhou said, creating hundreds of thousands of local jobs and generating nearly $1 billion in tax revenues for participating countries.

The aim of this conference, he said, was to establish better communication between the relevant parties, in order to overcome bottlenecks and maximize the opportunities for all participating nations.

Shanghai Daily did not name all the countries participating, but the participants who were identified show that the continents of Europe, Africa, and Asia, at least, were represented. Among those named were a representative from the National Bank of Serbia, an advisor to the Presidency of the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina; an official from a port in Latvia; a high-level official from Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and an official from Pakistan’s Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform.

Hebei Launches Agriculture Project Replicating Iowa’s Kimberley Farm

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—On Sept. 23, there was the groundbreaking  for the “China-U.S. Friendship Demonstration Farm,” in Hebei, Luanping County, which is planned to be a replica of the Kimberley Farm in Maxwell, Iowa. A delegation of 50 Iowans, and 250 Chinese dignitaries attended the ceremony, which included spreading a red carpet on the field, and 16 golden shovels, with red bows, to break ground. An orchestral prelude opened the festivities.

China Daily yesterday quoted U.S. Ambassador to China Terry Branstad, former Iowa Governor, that “The farm … stands as an example of how we can exchange information and ideas, and maintain a growing and improving trade relationship.”

Branstad spoke of how, in 1985, Xi Jinping led an agricultural delegation from Hebei to Iowa. On his next Iowa visit in 2012, Xi, who would become China’s President in 2013, toured the Kimberley Farm, which he said can be a model in China, according to reports by the Luanping County government.

The Maxwell farm is characteristic of family farming in Iowa. Owned by Rick and Martha Kimberley, and their son Grant, it encompasses an area of some 1,600 hectares, and with modern equipment, top-rate seeds, and satellite guidance, which allows three people to raise major harvests of corn and soybeans.

Rick Kimberley addressed the Hebei event, explaining that “The first phase will be re-creation of my home and buildings.” Then will come demonstration plots for seeds and equipment.

The Iowa delegation, which is touring for a week, includes representatives of Iowa media, and many groups and firms, including the American Soybean Association, John Deere, Syngenta, Monsanto, DuPont Pioneer, Hy-Line International, among others.

SCIENCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Strategic Partners, China and Russia, Deepen Space Cooperation

Sept. 26 (EIRNS)—Russian scientists in the Novosibirsk, the home of the Siberian branch of the Academy of Sciences, have submitted three applications to conduct experiments on China’s planned space station, Sputnik reports today. Space cooperation on this level, of long-term, multi-year projects, are expected to be formalized soon in an agreement covering cooperation from 2018 to 2022.

Besides the potential to send experiments to the Chinese station, Roscosmos head Igor Komarov told reporters yesterday at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Australia, that “there have been certain talks” on the possibility of sending cosmonauts to the station. Komarov also said that he expects that the parliament will ratify a fundamental law regulating the exchange of technology in the rocket industry within the next two months. This would establish the “rules of the road” for China-Russia cooperation, which would protect both nation’s advanced technology.

Komarov also told journalists that Russia was in talks with South Korea for cooperation at the Naro spaceport. “Korean partners, who are developing their Naro space center, have shown interest in partnership with the Center for Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Operation (TsENKI). Besides, we discussed issues of possible cooperation with the Russian engine manufacturer,” Komarov said, reported TASS. “When the contracts are ready and technical requirements are defined on particular engines, then more specific things may be said.”

And Russia’s ground-based station for the GLONASS satellite navigation system could be placed in South Korea, according to Sergey Krikalev, Roscosmos executive director for manned space flight programs.
