Four baby girls and their mother reportedly are dead in China after a man allegedly forced his wife to have four sex-selection abortions.

Sex-selection abortions and a preference for sons has caused a population crisis in China. Coupled with China’s oppressive population control measures, which limit families to one or two children, the country is missing millions of girls to abortion and infanticide.

In the new case, the Daily Mail reports a woman named Yueyue allegedly died in Shengangzhen, China after her husband forced her to abort four unborn baby girls in the past year. The couple reportedly already had one daughter, and the husband wanted a son. The law limits families to two children.

According to the report, Yueyue’s husband urged her to have an ultrasound with each pregnancy, and when the scans revealed that their unborn babies were girls, he forced her to abort them. Her body became so damaged by the abortion procedures that she eventually died, the report states.

Here’s more from the report:

Yueyue’s health deteriorated and she was left bedridden.

Shockingly, instead of taking care of his wife, the husband sent Yueyue a divorce proposal. (Selfish man-my comment.)

The report said Yueyue had no choice but to agree to the divorce.

Yueyue took her 170,000 yuan (£19,208) divorce settlement to a hospital in Shanghai to seek medical attention.

The doctors failed to save her and she passed away.

Police reportedly are investigating.

In China, women face all kinds of abuses related to abortion and pregnancy. Under the country’s population control measures, women are forced to abort their unborn babies up to nine months of pregnancy, forcibly sterilized or implanted with long-lasting contraceptive devices.

Many of the unborn babies who are aborted are girls. In China, the birth ratio was an unnatural 115.88 boys to 100 girls in 2014, according to research by the Charlotte Lozier Institute.

Experts estimate that as many as 200 million girls are missing world-wide because they were aborted based on their sex. Even research from the United Nations, which is no champion of unborn babies’ rights, points to sex-selection abortions as a huge discrimination problem against women and girls.

The situation in China demonstrates how oppressive abortion is to women as well as their unborn babies. Women and babies deserve support, but society often offers them — or demands of them — death instead. As a result, women suffer and sometimes die along with their unborn babies as a result of abortions. Violence only destroys. Women and babies deserve so much better.
