The Imperial Guns Are Out To Stop Trump’s Intended Friendship with Russia
June 27 (EIRNS)—In July of 2016, candidate Donald Trump told a news conference that “there’s nothing I can think of that I’d rather do than have Russia friendly, as opposed to the way they are right now, so that we can go and knock out ISIS with other people.” The next day he asked his supporters at a campaign rally: “Wouldn’t it be a great thing if we could get along with Russia?” He was enthusiastically supported. Across the country, especially working people who were suffering from the economic malaise at home, were also disgusted with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Barack Obama’s perpetual wars, destroying nations and killing hundreds of thousands in the process, in nations which were no threat to the U.S., and were in fact fiercely confronting terrorist insurgents in their own nations. Their crime: being friends with Russia, and refusing to be subservient to the Empire centered in the City of London and Wall Street.
On July 7, President Trump is tentatively scheduled to meet with Russian President Putin for the first time. There is a potentiality that he will establish a strong, working relationship with the leader of the other nuclear superpower. Just a week earlier, he had told the leading Chinese statesman for foreign policy, Yang Jiechi, that he was ready to bring the U.S. into the New Silk Road, through a strong working relationship with President Xi Jinping. On Monday this week, he established a strong working relationship with visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This is what terrifies the would-be gods of the dying Western empire.
On October 10, 2009, Lyndon LaRouche, speaking to the World Public Forum Dialogue of Civilizations, on the island of Rhodes in Greece, said:
“If Russia, and the United States, and China, and India, agree, as a group of countries, to initiate and force a reorganization of the world financial and credit system, under these conditions, with long-term agreements, of the same type that Franklin Roosevelt had uttered before his death, in 1944, under key nations, the intention of Roosevelt all these years later, could have been realized, and we could do that today.”
That time has come. The “Four Powers” are nearly aligned in a manner which could, finally, once and for all, rid the human race of the curse of Empire, the scourge of war, and the misery of poverty.
The imperial lords will stop at nothing to prevent the destruction of their Empire from Hell. Calls for Trump’s impeachment or assassination now appear in the media, in a perverted performance of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in New York’s Central Park, at rock concerts in Britain. Traitors within the U.S., even within Trump’s own circle, create fake news to draw Trump into a war in Syria, which would lead rapidly to war with Russia—thermonuclear war.
But it is increasingly clear that the American population, even many who did not support Trump’s election, are disgusted and fed up with the hysterical Russophobia, the demonization of Trump and Putin, and are expressing this disgust in the recent elections, in social media, and, most importantly, in growing support for the LaRouche movement across the country.
On July 7 in New York City, agricultural experts from China, the United States and others will gather for a conference co-sponsored by LaRouche’s Schiller Institute. The Chinese experts, in several cases, have been at the center of the process which lifted 600 million Chinese out of poverty, and are committed to working with the United States and others to alleviate poverty worldwide. This is indeed possible, provided that the U.S. and Europe reverse the collapse of the Western economies under the brutish monetarist system, which has destroyed the idea of progress in our nations. Restoring the Hamiltonian policies of our forefathers, as spelled out in LaRouche’s Four Laws, can and must provide the foundation for global cooperation within the new paradigm.
Anything less, at this moment of historical opportunity, is insane and intolerable. Percy Bysshe Shelley, in his A Defense of Poetry of 1821, described historical periods of intense struggle, as this one is, in this way:
“At such periods there is an accumulation of the power of communicating and receiving intense and impassioned conceptions respecting man and nature. The person in whom this power resides, may often, as far as regards many portions of their nature, have little apparent correspondence with that spirit of good of which they are the ministers. But even whilst they deny and abjure, they are yet compelled to serve, that power which is seated on the throne of their own soul.”
Humanity is experiencing a moment of historic phase change, for good or for ill. It is a time for poetic action.
U.S. POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC
Is False Flag Operation Under Way against Putin-Trump Meeting, Cooperation in Syria
June 27 (EIRNS)—The sequence of events regarding the potential meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin strongly suggests that a sabotage operation against it is now under way that will use another false-flag chemical attack in Syria. About mid-day June 26, the Associated Press posted a story reporting that Trump is eager for a meeting with Putin at the G20 in Hamburg “with full diplomatic bells and whistles,” but that there are deep divisions within the administration about it. This was followed not long after by reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson spoke by phone, at the U.S. initiative.
“The foreign ministers discussed issues related to settling the crisis in Syria, including the need to consolidate the ceasefire, in particular through the Astana process, stepping up the fight against terrorist groups, and curbing attempts to use toxic chemical agents,” the Russian Foreign Ministry reported in a statement. “Mr. Lavrov urged Washington to take measures to prevent provocations against Syrian Government troops that are fighting terrorists.”
Then, some hours after that, the provocation of which Lavrov had warned, appeared, with the White House statement, attributed to Press Secretary Sean Spicer, claiming that U.S. intelligence had picked up signs of preparations of a “new” chemical attack by the Syrian government against civilians.
“The United States has identified potential preparations for another chemical weapons attack by the Assad regime that would likely result in the mass murder of civilians, including innocent children,” White House spokesman Sean Spicer said. “If … Mr. Assad conducts another mass murder attack using chemical weapons, he and his military will pay a heavy price.” In reporting on this, the New York Times suggested that the message appeared designed to set the stage for another possible military strike.
The Kremlin responded, this morning, officially denouncing the White House statement.
“We heard about this statement. We do not know what is the basis for this. And of course we categorically disagree with the ‘another attack’ wording,” Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. “We also consider any similar threats to the legitimate leadership of the Syrian Arab Republic unacceptable.” The threat of a chemical attack actually comes from ISIS/Daesh, not the Syrian government, Peskov stressed. “Cases of chemical toxic substances used by Daesh terrorists have been repeatedly recorded. There is a potential threat of the repeat of such provocations,” Peskov said.
The British are usually behind such provocations, and this one is no exception. U.K. Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said, this morning, that the U.S. had not shared any evidence of a specific threat of a chemical weapons attack, but the British will back another U.S. attack on Syrian government forces.
“We are very clear, the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime is absolutely abhorrent and the last time the United States took action to deal with the aircraft and airbase from which these chemical weapons were used we fully supported their strike,” Fallon told the BBC. The U.K. would support any U.S. attack on President Assad so long as it was proportionate, legal, and necessary, Fallon said.
According to both the New York Times and the Guardian accounts, U.S. military officials were caught off-guard by the White House statement.
“For this matter, we have no information to add to what has already been stated,” U.S. Central Command said in a statement to the Guardian. All of these developments occurred a day after the appearance, in Germany’s Die Welt, in English and German, of an investigative article by Seymour Hersh, in which he exposed that there was no intelligence supporting the assertion that the April 4 incident in Khan Sheikhoun, Syria, was a chemical attack by government forces. One of Hersh’s sources warned that, by ordering a cruise missile strike against a Syrian airbase, Trump gave the jihadis what they wanted and set the stage for another such false-flag attack.
UN Ambassador Nikki Haley Exposes Truth, That Lies about Syria Are Aimed at Russia
June 27 (EIRNS)—Nikki Haley, U.S. Ambassador to the UN, this morning revealed the actual intent of the fake intelligence peddled to President Trump that Syria is preparing “another” chemical weapon attack—it is about stopping Trump’s cooperation with Russia. Her tweet reads:
“Any further attacks done to the people of Syria will be blamed on Assad, but also on Russia & Iran who support him killing his own people.”
CNN Fires Three for Fake News, Producer Admits Russophobia ‘Is Mostly Bullshit’
June 27 (EIRNS)—A fake story posted on CNN June 22, about a meeting between Trump transition team member Anthony Scaramucci and Russian Direct Investment Fund chief Kirill Dmitriev before the inauguration, was taken down from its website, and CNN fired the author, an assisting managing editor, and the Washington bureau chief. Trump tweeted: “Wow, CNN had to retract big story on ‘Russia,’ with 3 employees forced to resign. What about all the other phony stories they do? FAKE NEWS!”
Meanwhile, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas interviewed a CNN senior producer, John Bonifield, apparently covertly with a hidden camera and mike, asking about CNN blaming everything on Russia. Bonifield says: “I mean, it’s mostly bullshit right now…. Like, we don’t have any giant proof. Then they say, ‘well there’s still an investigation going on.’ … I just refuse to believe that if they had something really good like that that wouldn’t leak, because we’ve been getting all these other leaks. So, I just feel like they don’t really have it, but they want to keep digging. And so I think the President is probably right to say, like, ‘look, you are witch-hunting me. You have no smoking gun. You have no real proof.’ ”
“Even if Russia was trying to swing an election,” Bonifield says, “we try to swing their elections, our CIA is doing shit all the time, we’re out there trying to manipulate governments.”
He said after Trump pulled out of the Paris climate accord, CNN covered it for a day or two, then was ordered by CNN CEO Jeff Zucker to get back to Russia. “It’s a business,” Bonifield says, “People are like—the media has an ethical—But, all the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school, you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business. Especially cable news.” He said it’s all about ratings, and that CNN’s ratings are up due to the Russophobia.
STRATEGIC WAR DANGER
NATO Sees Russian Military Modernization but No Evidence of Hostile Intent
June 27 (EIRNS)—In remarks delivered yesterday by NATO Military Committee Chairman Gen. Petr Pavel to a “Politico Brussels Playbook Breakfast,” sponsored by Politico, he said: “We in uniform, we define the threat based on two major elements. One is the capability, the other is the intent. When it comes to capability there is no doubt that Russia is developing their capabilities both in conventional and nuclear components. When it comes to exercises, their ability to deploy troops for long distance and to use them effectively quite far away from their own territory, there are no doubts.”
However, he said, When it comes to the Kremlin’s intent, “it’s not so clear, because we cannot clearly say that Russia has aggressive intents against NATO.”
COLLAPSING WESTERN FINANCIAL SYSTEM
Sen. Elizabeth Warren Scores Obamacare, Calls for Single Payer
June 27 (EIRNS)—The Wall Street Journal reported today that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), told a Lowell, Massachusetts town hall meeting that “President Obama tried to move us forward with health-care coverage by using a conservative model that came from one of the conservative think tanks that had been advanced by a Republican governor. Now it’s time for the next step. And the next step is single payer.” The “conservative think tank” she referred to is the proposal by Stuart Butler of the Heritage Foundation for the individual mandate feature of Obamacare.
As recently as March, after the first collapse of the Republican “replace Obamacare” legislation, Warren said that it was time to put all options on the table, but had not endorsed any alternative to Obamacare. As physical economist Lyndon LaRouche has explained for decades, the option that must be on the table is a return to the 1946 Hill-Burton standards of availability of health-care delivery. Without that, there is nothing to pay for.
THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER
India’s Narendra Modi and Trump Hit Off Very Well, Says India’s Foreign Office
June 27 (EIRNS)—Reporting on the June 26 White House meeting between President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s Foreign Secretary, S. Jaishankar, said this meeting exceeded all expectations, speaking as one who had witnessed the meetings between Manmohan Singh and George W. Bush, Manmohan Singh and Barack Obama, and Modi-Obama. “This was frankly one of the most productive of all prime ministerial visits to the United States,” The Hindu quoted him as saying today.
According to Indian media, this 2017 summit is entirely different from earlier ones since the thrust was on to develop a mutually beneficial economic and trade relationship. President Trump pointed out that the U.S. has an annual trade deficit of $31 billions that should be addressed. Modi, in response, pointed out that India is willing to buy liquefied natural gas from the United States to lower the deficit. India buys almost all its LNG from Qatar and Oman. Also, discussions took place to facilitate manufacture of F-16s in India.
Furthermore, in their joint press statement in the Rose Garden, they were tough on Pakistan vis-à-vis terrorism and softer on the South China Sea issue. The Hindu pointed out that replacing the joint statement of the 2016 Modi-Obama summit, in which India and the U.S. called for securing the domains of land, maritime, air, space, and cyber security in the South China Sea, Trump and Modi “called for the ‘responsible stewards’ and ‘democratic stalwarts’ in the Indo-Pacific region” as the White House press statement, “United States and India: Prosperity through Partnership,” put it, to handle the dispute. “No mention is made either of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, under which a tribunal ruled against China’s claims in the South China Sea, which was referred to the previous year,” The Hindu wrote.
On terrorism, Trump and Modi expressed that they are “shoulder to shoulder against terrorism,” and “called on Pakistan to ensure that its territory is not used to launch terrorist attacks on other countries. They further called on Pakistan to expeditiously bring to justice the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai, Pathankot, and other cross-border terrorist attacks perpetrated by Pakistan-based groups,” the Indo-U.S. joint statement said, The Hindu reported.
Excitement Over Belt and Road Extends throughout Caribbean, Central America
June 27 (EIRNS)—In the month-and-a-half since the May 14-15 Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, Caribbean and Central American governments have expressed great excitement at the prospect of participating in the project.
In his keynote address to the June 3 seminar hosted in Trinidad and Tobago’s capital Port of Spain by the Chinese Embassy on the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Prime Minister Stuart Young announced that his nation is “well positioned” to take on the task of being the economic conduit for China in the region, according to the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian. Similarly, in a June 22 statement, Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness said, “I would like to note the announced economic policy of China, the One Belt, One Road, and that the government of Jamaica endorses this policy.”
At some stage, Holness included, according to the Jamaica Gleaner, “we would want to formally, if possible, join in what we think is a very beneficial, but very noble expression of not just the Chinese aspiration for development, but the development of economies right across the world through a cooperative and inclusive strategy.” Chinese firms are involved in building several infrastructure projects in Jamaica.
Since Panama’s June 13 announcement of diplomatic relations with mainland China, there has been extensive commentary on what this will mean for the entire region joining the Belt and Road Initiative. Chinese firms are now involved in 30 infrastructure projects in Panama, and “many more” are planned, according to the government TV network CGTN June 23. China Construction America says it plans to spend $1 billion over the next five years in the country. In a June 23 interview with Xinhua, China’s Ambassador to Costa Rica Tang Heng stated that Costa Rica will play a “very important” role in China’s relations with Central America, and that strategies can be developed by which Costa Rica can participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, and benefit from China-financed infrastructure projects that will promote the country’s economic and social development.
South Korea Could Invest Up to $3 Billion in Russia’s Far East
June 27 (EIRNS)—The Russian Ministry for the Development of Russian Far East expects direct investments from South Korea into the region could increase from $70 million to $3 billion over next three years according to TASS, citing the Ministry’s press service.
“Now we need to focus on increasing the volume of investment cooperation. In this regard, I think it is viable to set the goal at our next meeting—achieving the volume of investment cooperation at a level of at least $3 billion in the next 3 years. The goal is ··absolutely achievable with full practical efforts from both sides,” TASS, writing from Khabarovsk, quoted a statement by Deputy Minister Alexander Krutikov today.
Currently direct investment of South Korean business in six projects in the territories of advanced development and the Free Port of Vladivostok reaches around $70 million. “We are sure that this is only a test step from the Korean business and only the very beginning of our joint efforts,” Krutikov said.
Trade turnover between the Russian Far East and South Korea over the first four months of 2017 grew by 25% compared to the same period last year and amounted to almost $2 billion, TASS reported.
