Trump’s director of the National Economic Council Expresses Public Support for a new Glass-Steagall Act

There are now multiple reports of a private meeting held yesterday between Gary Cohn, economic adviser to President Trump and former Goldman Sachs executive, and members of the U.S. Senate, where Cohn reiterated the Administration’s intention to break up the US banks in the way President Franklin Roosevelt did with his 1933 Glass-Steagall Banking Act.
