Avoid The Dangers of Complacency – And Earn A Major Breakthrough

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 11:44 AM PDT

We Are Change

Do you feel stuck in a particular area of your life?  Do you feel stagnant in your relationships, business, or personal well being?  What part of your personality is holding you back and preventing you from taking your life to the next level?  What are you willing to do to achieve that break through that always seems to elude you?

Albert Einstein stated that “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results”.  In other words, If you continue to do the same thing today as you did yesterday, why would you expect tomorrow to be any different?

Indeed there is power in remaining consistent when performing particular actions.  For instance, by reading every day one can amass a great amount of knowledge over an extended period of time; by eating well and exercising regularly one can maintain a physically healthy lifestyle; by investing $50/week with the right interest rates one can create signifiant wealth over 20-30 years.

Clearly behaving with consistency under certain conditions has much to offer an individual.  So what is it that Albert Einstein meant when attempting to convey to us the “danger” of doing the same thing everyday?  What types of repetitive behaviors should we remove from our daily routines?

If you are lazy and unwilling to work, the chances of your career blossoming will be bordering on non-existent.  If you are unkind and inconsiderate to others the likelihood of you making new friends will be considerably low.  But is this not well known to the common individual?  Is this really what Albert Einstein meant to instill within us: the superfluous concept that repeating negative behavior will never produce positive results?

I perceive Einstein warning us of the inevitable consequences of complacency and highlighting “comfortability” as one of the most common ingredients that spoils our ability to manifest our potential.  After all, what is done routinely often times loses flavor due to its monotony.

New levels of achievement and advancement are not experienced by those who are unwilling to stretch themselves beyond their breaking point.  When Albert Einstein urges us to not do the same thing today as we did yesterday, I do not believe he is referring to the specific acts we are engaged in; but rather to the way in which we engage in our actions.

When I started my life coaching and motivational speaking company over a year ago I was petrified; I was uncertain what I should teach, who I could reach, and how I could reach them.  I began by speaking in two drug treatment centers per week and within 6 months had quickly grown to over 10 per week.  But something happened over the next 6 months.

I began to feel very comfortable speaking in treatment centers.  It became easier and easier the more experience I obtained.  I began to feel as if I had reached a plateau and progress felt out of reach.  I reached out to a mentor of mine who reminded me about the importance of constantly trying new things and getting out of my “comfort zone”.

The next day I “hit the pavement” and began promoting myself to high schools.  I entered into a new arena where I had no contacts and connections and was uncertain of how they would respond to my pitch.  Within one week I had booked my first gig which quickly gave birth to a second.  As I am writing this to you, several more opportunities are opening up.

I do not know what the future of my company will be, but I do know that it will become what I will make it.  The secret of achieving greater levels of success is completely dependent upon my ability to consistently “get outside the box” and break free from my comfort zone.

If you have a desire to create a break through in a particular area of your life start by asking yourself these questions:

Where have I created a “comfort zone” in my life?  Where have I fallen into the clutches of complacency?  How can I free myself from it’s grip?

Complacency will forever be the antithesis for further growth, transformation, and success.  If you authentically desire to create new levels of achievement in your life it is essential to constantly explore the territory of the unknown.

Read between the lines of Albert Einstein’s message and expand your horizons each and every day.  Be cautious of getting too comfortable; do not allow complacency to take control of your life and prevent you from making progress; try new things every day and approach every waking moment with passion.

JFK Diary Shows He Questioned Whether Or Not Hitler Committed Suicide

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 11:38 AM PDT

We Are Change

A diary written by 35th US president John F. Kennedy shows the official story surrounding Adolf Hitler’s death was questioned both by himself and Russian officials:

As we can see, President Kennedy asserts that both he and the Russians were not sold on the idea that Hitler had committed suicide in his underground bunker with his wife of two days, Eva Braun.

The diary, which was written in 1945 before JFK was president, talks about the then-political climate. It also includes a lengthy description of the aftermath of WWII. Since the diary was drafted only months after the alleged suicide of Adolf Hitler, this is a more reliable source than a history textbook or lecture.

[RELATED: JFK’s Revenge: Wikileaks Referenced JFK in its Passphrase, was he Killed by the CIA?]

While drafting this diary, Kennedy went on a tour to a couple places where Hitler resided before his alleged death on April 30, 1945. Kennedy seemed to harbor an open-mind about the leader, even labeling him “one of the most significant figures who ever lived,” and even furthermore saying “he had in him the stuff of which legends are made.”

FBI Files on Hitler’s Death

The FBI has also released files which speculate on whether or not Hitler committed suicide, or escaped Germany prior to being captured. One document in particular describes Hitler escaping to Argentina. In it, an unknown source claims to have received $15,000 to help Hitler and a party consisting of approximately 50 people retreat to a ranch hideout in the country.

The FBI, it seems, had a reliable source that told them Hitler did not die in a bunker, but in fact escaped to Argentina. Despite also having documents from other sources which echo this claim, the FBI vault website maintains that “FBI Files indicate that the Bureau investigated some of the rumors of Hitler’s survival.” This could illustrate that the FBI was later convinced that this story was untrue.

Furthermore, a video made by HISTORY points out that Hitler’s remains have never been recovered. No body ever recovered was identified as Hitler’s. In the video, you can see that the circumstances surrounding Hitler’s death are really just as questionable now, as they originally were. It seems the only evidence we may have that Hitler died from suicide is the word of one man who was allegedly there during the aftermath.

If Hitler did in fact die in the bunker, it is possible that his body was mutilated beyond recognition. Of course, there are then numerous other possibilities which we cannot consider due to lack of supporting evidence.

Other Noteworthy Conclusions from the JFK Diary

President Kennedy appeared to also have a positive outlook on the future of war between Russia and the United States. Kennedy thought that a clash between Russia and the U.S. would be “indefinitely postponed by the eventual discovery of a weapon so horrible that it will truthfully mean the abolishment of all the nations employing it.”

This quote is abnormally fascinating simply because the last date clearly marked down in the diary is August 1, 1945.  Just days before the first atomic bomb was dropped on August 6th, and the Smyth Report was released on the 12th. Regardless, JFK had to have been blown away by the advancements in nuclear weaponry in the later years, which make the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki pale in comparison.

Kennedy later wrote in a diary about a visit to Germany, where he describes the ruins of post-WWII. It appeared that the major cities and railroads were hit the hardest, later saying:

“One of the debatable questions now in Berlin is whether Berlin will ever be built up again into a large city. If Germany remains divided into four administrative units as she is now, Berlin will remain a ruined and unproductive city.”

Clearly referencing the divided political control of Germany following WWII, Kennedy seemed convinced that it would fail. It wasn’t until 1989 that Germany was reunified, following the destruction of the Berlin wall. However, war treaties and occupying armies illustrate evidence that Germany was never fully returned to its people.

JFK also questioned whether or not the UN would succeed in bringing the world together, saying “in practice, I doubt that it will prove effective in the sense of its elaborate mechanics being frequently employed or vitally decisive in deterring war or peace.”

Regardless, perhaps what is most noteworthy about this diary’s release is that the 35th President of the United States wasn’t so sure that Hitler had committed suicide, as told by the official story. It is unclear whether or not he harbored this belief all the way up to his assassination in 1963. Accordingly, it is unclear whether or not the official story of Hitler’s death is factual or not.

MIT Senior Researcher Says 50% Of Children Will Be Autistic by 2025

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 11:24 AM PDT

We Are Change

Stephanie Seneff, a Senior Research Scientist at MIT and author of over 170 peer-reviewed scholarly articles, said during a presentation that “I predict by 2025 half the kids born will be diagnosed with autism.

Seneff notes that the number of diagnoses of autism have been steadily increasing, which she claims could be attributed to the use of glyphosate, a chemical in the popular weed killer Roundup, owned by Monsanto.

Seneff also has an online presentation on the topic, which furthermore claims that glyphosate is “an antibiotic that preferentially kills the good bacteria.” She also states that “we depend on our gut bacteria in many ways.”

Monsanto says on their website that “farmers, as well as homeowners and others, have been using Roundup® and other glyphosate products for more than 40 years,” a quote which illustrates the break between a prominent work of research and the reality of the food industry.

It’s not just autism that Dr. Seneff is worried about. Her presentation goes on to say that “glyphosate usage on corn and soy crops correlates with the epidemic we’re seeing in autism, Alzheimer’s disease, celiac disease, and other intestinal disorders.”

She states that studies arguing that glyphosate is harmless are fabricated to produce immediate results, asserting that the “insidious effects of glyphosate accumulate over time… Most studies are too short to detect damage.”

Another Study Which Says Glyphosate Isn’t Harmless

Recently Dr. Michael Antoniou of the UK has come forward with another study that also concludes that glyphosate and Roundup are not as harmless as Monsanto might like to admit.

As reported by the Center for Research on Globalization, Antoniou describes his study by saying that “for the very first time we have established a causative link between an environmentally relevant level of daily ingestion of Roundup and a serious disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.”

In other words, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, and the other complications pointed out by Dr. Seneff might not be the only things you have to worry about if you consume this substance.

Because of the widespread use of Roundup and its active ingredient glyphosate, sources have pointed out that it can now be found in human urine, water, and even in genetically modified food.

For more information on glyphosate, check out Dr. Stephanie Seneff’s full lecture below.

Rand Paul Condemns NATO Vote: They Want To Send Your Kids To War

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 11:14 AM PDT

We Are Change

Senator Rand Paul condemned adding the Balkan nation Montenegro to NATO in an epic speech on the House floor earlier this week. Paul introduced an Amendment 199 and proclaimed, “they want to rubber stamp, they want no debates, and they want to send your kids to war with no debate,” speaking about his fellow constituents.

Two weeks ago in the Senate, John McCain accused Paul of working for Russian President Vladimir Putin when the Kentucky Senator objected to adding Montenegro to the NATO alliance.

“Nobody wanted to have this debate,” Paul said.

Paul and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) were the only two Senators who voted against the motion in a 97-2 vote which Paul warned may be a big mistake.

If Montenegro were attacked, any NATO member would then have the ability to invoke Article 5. An attack on one state is an attack on all NATO countries. This could potentially prompt escalated military intervention, such as when the article was invoked after the September 11th terrorist attacks.

The Kentucky senator then expressed his support for President Trump wanting to put, “America first.”

“President Trump said in his inaugural address that we defend other nations’ borders while refusing to defend our own,” Paul stated. “I think he was right.”

The senator continued: “Today the question is will we add another commitment to defend yet another foreign country? For decades NATO has been an organization where the U.S. disproportionately spends our blood and our treasure. The other NATO countries have largely hitched a ride on a U.S. train that subsidizes their defenses and allows them to direct their revenues to their own domestic concerns.”

“The other NATO countries have largely hitched a ride on a U.S. train that subsidizes their defenses and allows them to direct their revenues to their own domestic concerns.”

Paul then lambasted Congress for failing to question the current U.S. involvement in wars in the middle east which he called “illegal and unconstitutional.”

“For 16 years we have been at war in the middle east our justified response if I had been here I would have voted for the people who attacked us on 911 our justified response though has drug on and on.” There are people fighting in the war who were not born on 911. The congress voted after 911 to go to war they voted to go after the people who planned and plotted the attacks on the trade center. That vote from 15 years ago is used to justify all war everywhere on the planet there has been no meaningful debate about the wars we are currently involved in, in the middle east. We currently fight illegally and unconstitutionally in the middle east because your representatives are afraid to have a public debate,” Senator Rand Paul said.

Paul offered his amendment 199 as a solution stating that, “if Montenegro were added to NATO and attacked, Congress would have to debate and vote on a formal declaration of war rather than allowing NATO to control the destiny of American civilians sent to die in a foreign land.” Paul further noted that his amendment would be ridiculed and denied, but still urged his fellow Senators to allow his bill and form an open debate on the topic of foreign wars.

“We could have one 15 minute vote on an amendment,” Paul proposed. “But they don’t want to debate it because they’re embarrassed that they’re sending your sons and daughters to war without ever debating or voting on it.”

Senator Paul then took to Twitter to put out the most important pieces of his speech tweeting, “For decades NATO has been an organization where the U.S. disproportionately spends our blood and our treasure,” adding “Nobody wanted to have this debate. They want to rubber stamp. They want no debates and they want to send your kids to war.”

It’s Official: UK’s Theresa May Triggers Article 50, Begins Brexit

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 11:08 AM PDT

We Are Change

A letter signed by Prime Minister Theresa May has officially been delivered, marking the formal beginning of Brexit. Theresa May announced the decision to the House of Commons, saying:

“Today the government acts on the democratic will of the British people, and it acts too on the clear and convincing position of this house. A few minutes ago in Brussels, the United Kingdom’s permanent representative to the EU handed a letter to President of the European Council on my behalf confirming the government’s decision to invoke Article 50 of the treaty on [the] European Union… the United Kingdom is leaving the European Union. This is our historic moment from which there can be no turning back.”

May’s announcement was received with cheers from May’s Conservative Party, and perhaps other parties as well. European Council President Donald Tusk confirmed receipt of the letter via Twitter:

After nine months the UK has delivered. #Brexit

— Donald Tusk (@eucopresident) March 29, 2017

Not all British citizens are happy with the Brexit decision. As British media reported, thousands gathered on the streets of London and Rome last Saturday in protest of the bill, knowing that May was soon to formally deliver the letter to Donald Tusk.

Former Conservative Party Prime Minister David Cameron also reportedly made a statement on the matter, saying that: “Britain always was uncertain and opposed to the idea of a deeper and more integrated union. We never liked the EU flag. We liked our own flag.”

Liberal Democratic (Lib Dem) members of the House of Commons saw this action as a tragedy. One Lib Dem Richard Newby announced that:

“Today is for me and my colleagues an extremely sad day. It marks the point at which the UK seeks to distance itself from its nearest neighbors, at a time when in every area of public policy, logic suggests we should be working more closely together rather than less… We feel a sense of anger that the Government is pursuing a brutal Brexit… We believe that the country will be poorer, less secure and less influential as a result.”

See my response to Theresa May’s Article 50 statement in full, here:

— Richard Newby (@RichardNewby3) March 29, 2017

Nigel Farage, on the other hand, was celebrating the impending Brexit in a wild segment with Piers Morgan on British television.

The market seems to agree with Farage. As the decision was announced, the British pound went up slightly, illustrating that the people crying about becoming less secure and less influential will be coddled by a stronger national currency, at least for now.

However, it seems like the British have retained national sovereignty and will now, officially, leave the European Union. Let there be cheers, let there be protests, but however you choose to respond to this news, make it peaceful and nonviolent.

Elon Musk’s Transhumanism Agenda With Neuralink To Create Cyborgs

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 11:01 AM PDT

We Are Change

Solar energy and exploring space isn’t enough for Elon Musk – he now wants to implant electrodes in your brain so you can download and upload information like a computer to merge with software and keep up the pace with artificial intelligence.

Musk’s new company project “Neuralink” is designing a cranial computer interface or neural lace, although it’s unclear what types of product the company will develop.

The Wall Street Journal speculated that the first products could be advanced implants to treat intractable brain disorders like epilepsy or major depression.

Electrode arrays and other implants are already being used to help the effects of Parkinson’s, epilepsy, and other neurodegenerative diseases – but only rarely, due in part to the dangerous nature of brain surgery.

Musk has teased on Twitter about the development for months of the technology, “Making progress on neural lace,” he tweeted last August. Musk tweeted in Jaunuary, “maybe something to announce in a few months,” and further confirmed the existence of the development of the technology Tuesday, tweeting out “Long Neuralink piece coming out on @waitbutwhy in about a week. Difficult to dedicate the time, but existential risk is too high not to.”

Neuralink was registered in California as a “medical research” company last July according to the WSJ.

@BelovedRevol Making progress. Maybe something to announce in a few months. Have played all prior Deus Ex. Not this one yet.

Long Neuralink piece coming out on @waitbutwhy in about a week. Difficult to dedicate the time, but existential risk is too high not to.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) March 28, 2017

Musk has previously criticized humans at a conference in Dubai. He expressed that artificial intelligence would surpass human beings and that we would be irrelevant if we didn’t merge with machines.

“Over time I think we will probably see a closer merger of biological intelligence and digital intelligence,” Musk said.

“Your output level is so low, particularly on a phone, your two thumbs just tapping away,” he added. “This is ridiculously slow. Our input is much better because we have a high bandwidth visual interface into the brain. Our eyes take in a lot of data.

It’s not the first time that Musk warned about the dangers of A.I., previously describing it as potentially the greatest threat to the existence of human life and comparing intelligent machines to summoning a demon.

“You know those stories where there’s the guy with the pentagram, and the holy water, and he’s like Yeah, he’s sure he can control the demon? Doesn’t work out,” Musk said at a symposium in October 2014.

The science may seem a bit science-fiction, but Stanford University has already successfully created a brain-computer interface (BCI), BrainGate, and early BCI tech allows people with paralysis to type messages on a computer by picking out letters on a screen, Arstechnica reported.

Musk isn’t the only one investing in the neurological science, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is investing $60 million over four years to develop implantable neural interface technology.

“The program, Neural Engineering System Design (NESD), stands to dramatically enhance research capabilities in neurotechnology and provide a foundation for new therapies,” DARPA’s website reads.

“Today’s best brain-computer interface systems are like two supercomputers trying to talk to each other using an old 300-baud modem,” said Phillip Alvelda, the NESD program manager. “Imagine what will become possible when we upgrade our tools to really open the channel between the human brain and modern electronics.”

The technology isn’t that far away from becoming a reality, although there are hurdles to pass like finding out what controls brain functions such as going to the bathroom vs. eating food.

In comments published by Vanity Fair on Sunday, Musk said “for a meaningful partial-brain interface, I think we’re roughly four or five years away.”

The Pentagon Has A Serious Problem – Losing Trillions Of Dollars

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 09:23 AM PDT

We Are Change

The Pentagon lost track of more than $10 trillion dollars over the past two decades. No one, not even the Department of Defense, really knows what it was spent on, or where the money went.

President Donald Trump’s released budget proposal calls to blindly increase military spending by $52 billion dollars, while the government fails to keep track of its current spending.

$10,000,000,000,000 is unaccounted for since 1996:

Although it’s required to by law, the DoD has never had an audit, something every American person, every company and every other government agency is subject to. The result is an astounding $10tn in taxpayer money that has gone unaccounted for since 1996.

“Over the last 20 years, the Pentagon has broken every promise to Congress about when an audit would be completed,” the director of the Audit the Pentagon coalition, Rafael DeGennaro, told the Guardian. “Meanwhile, Congress has more than doubled the Pentagon’s budget.”

Legislation in the early 1990s demanded that all government agencies had annual audits, but the Pentagon has exempted itself without consequence for 20 years now, telling the Government Accountability Office (GAO) that collecting and organizing the required information for a full audit is too costly and time-consuming.

In the meantime, the GAO and Office of the Inspector General (IG) have published an endless stream of reports documenting financial mismanagement: $500m in aid to Yemen lost here, $5.8bn in supplies lost there, $8,000 spent on helicopter gears that really cost $500.

How did the Pentagon manage to accumulate a missing total of $10 trillion dollars in military spending?

In 2001, the day before 9/11, Donald Rumsfeld announced that the Defense Department was unable to track $2.3 trillion in transactions.

The investigation into the missing money was shelved immediately the next day, the Pentagon was attacked and conveniently, the accounting offices were the target of the terrorist attack.

So, there’s $2.3 trillion dollars missing, where do the trillions of other dollars that are unaccounted for come into play?

Thanks to a Reuters investigation in 2013 by Scot Paltrow, we have that answer. Apparently, the Pentagon used $8.5 trillion of our tax money handed over by Congress since 1996—but has no idea what they did with the money. It’s unknown if the $2.3 trillion Rumsfeld announced is included in the Reuters total of $8.5 trillion missing.

[RELATED: The Pentagon Doesn’t Know What it Spent 8.5 Trillion Dollars on]

Audits of all federal agencies were mandated by law beginning in 1996. However, the Pentagon has never complied nor have they had an audit. In almost 20 years, the Pentagon has never accounted for the trillions it has spent. In part because “plugging”—fudging the numbers—is standard operating procedure according to a former Defense Finance and Accounting Service employee, Linda Woodford.

“A lot of times there were issues of numbers being inaccurate. We didn’t have the detail for a lot of it,” Woodford said.

Then last year, the Department of Defense Inspector General released a report. This report revealed the Pentagon couldn’t account for an additional $6.5 trillion dollars worth of Army general fund transactions and data, according to the Fiscal Times.

The report by the Fiscal Times stated:

“An increasingly impatient Congress has demanded that the Army achieve “audit readiness” for the first time by Sept. 30, 2017, so that lawmakers can get a better handle on military spending. But Pentagon watchdogs think that may be mission impossible, and for good reason…

The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), the behemoth Indianapolis-based agency that provides finance and accounting services for the Pentagon’s civilian and military members, could not provide adequate documentation for $6.5 trillion worth of year-end adjustments to Army general fund transactions and data.

The DFAS has the sole responsibility for paying all DOD military and personnel, retirees and annuitants, along with Pentagon contractors and vendors. The agency is also in charge of electronic government initiatives, including within the Executive Office of the President, the Department of Energy and the Departing of Veterans Affairs.”

[RELATED: $6.5 Trillion Dollars Is Missing From Budget Says Pentagon]

“I don’t think they’re lying and cheating and stealing necessarily, but it’s not the right thing to do,” Pentagon Comptroller Robert Hale said. “We’ve got to fix the processes, so we don’t have to do that.”

While the Department of Defense spent over $10 trillion dollars on war, secret black projects and advancing more destructive technology, women and children in the U.S. starved and went homeless.

In 2015, 43.1 million people in the United States lived in poverty. That means the poverty rate for 2015 was 13.5%. The 2015 poverty rate was 1.0 percentage point higher than in 2007, the year before the 2008 recession. This is the first year in five years the number of people in poverty has decreased from the previous year’s poverty estimates.

The Department Of Defense isn’t the only U.S. agency that needs to be audited. The Federal Reserve and the U.S. central banks also need to have their books opened. The Fed has lost money than the DoD in one year then all of the last two decades combined.

Canada Announces Legalization Of Marijuana Set For July 1st, 2018

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 07:54 AM PDT

We Are Change

It was announced in Canada on Monday, March 27th, 2017, under the Liberal Government of Justin Trudeau, that they are aiming to legalize marijuana by July 1st, 2018.

The Bill to legalize Marijuana has been rumoured in hopes of being tabled before the symbolic date of 4/20 (April, 20th, 2017.)

We have obtained information through CBC News, that legislation will be announced during the week of April, 10th, 2017 by former liberal Justice Minister, Anne McLellan.

Last years celebrations of 4/20 were targeted by the Liberal government. They scoped this particular event to push the bill in hopes of support from the Cannabis Community.

On July 1, 2018, Ottawa will legalize the use of Marijuana for people of 18 years and older. Provinces will also be able to decide how Marijuana is priced, sold, and distributed. They will also have the option of raising the age limit if they choose.

I was curious as to what some of the provincial Premiers and Attorney General had to say regarding this matter.

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley, said, on March 27th, 2017:

As we go forward, we’ll be sure to be engaging with and consulting with Albertans about how best to do this in a way that preserves public safety, preserves health and protects our young people.

The Attorney General of Ontario, Yasir Naqvi, when asked about age limits and sales locations said this:

The government is doing very detailed analysis of all policy options. All those policy options are on the table, and we have not made any decisions.

Lastly, Ontario Premier, Kathleen Wynne said:

It makes sense to me that the liquor distribution mechanism that we have in place — the LCBO — is very well-suited to putting in place the social responsibility aspects that would need to be in place.

In brief, what this means is that the federal government will have entire control over the process involving the reproduction of Marijuana, distribution, Health and Safety. Similar to the prohibition era. We will see a full monopolization on Marijuana in Canada.

As this process continues, Canada will continue to arrest marijuana users, and put them behind bars.

Last December, Trudeau stressed that marijuana remains illegal until legislation passes.
He further continued to condemn the rise of illegal dispensaries that have popped up in Toronto.

People are right now breaking the law.

We haven’t changed the laws. We haven’t legalized it yet. Yes, we got a clear mandate to do that. We’ve said we will. We’ve said we’re going to do it to protect our kids and to keep the money out of the pockets of criminals. — Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau made it clear he is not pro-pot in an interview by The Star.

Finally, to clear up the miscommunication, misinformation and overall confusion I will break down how the process of legalizing Marijuana in Canada works.

It first starts by introducing a bill.

What is a bill?
It is a proposed law that is introduced in either the House of Commons or the Senate. Bills can amend or repeal existing law or can contain completely new law. There are two kinds of bills: Public and private.

How does it become law?
A bill becomes an act of Parliament when it passes through three readings with a committee stage between the second and third readings before being passed.

In The First House

1st Reading: Formality whereby the bill is introduced to the house. The Bill is then printed in its 1st reading form.
2nd Reading: The main principle and purpose of the bill is debated. If passed, the bill is then referred to a committee for further research. Remaining in its original 1st printed form.
Committee: Committee members study the bill clause by clause. The committee may make amendments.
Report Stage: The Committee presents its report. The bill may be accepted in its 1st reading state, or with amendments made by the committee, or that it may not proceed any further. During this report stage, members can propose further amendments.
3rd Reading: The House reviews the bill in its final form and then orders the printing of the 3rd reading bill. Including any amendments made.

In The Second House:

Once a bill has passed the 3rd reading stage in the first house, the bill goes to the second house where it must pass through the same stages. The Senate may amend, delay or refuse to pass the bill. Any amendments made by the second house must be approved by the first house.

Royal Assent

Royal assent completes the enactment process. Bills may be given Royal Assent in two ways: by the Governor General or her deputy in a formal ceremony that takes place in the Senate before an assembly of both houses, or by written declaration. “Where royal assent is signified by written declaration, the Act is deemed to be assented to on the day on which the two Houses of Parliament have been notified of the declaration” (Royal Assent Act, S.C. 2002, c.15, s.5). When a bill receives Royal Assent it is given a chapter number for the Statutes of Canada.

The process has been outlined and the general public can now grasp how this process really works. One can see how the federal Government will have the final say and total control when it comes to legalizing Marijuana in Canada.

For those of you who are counting on the immediate legalization of Marijuana, don’t get your hopes up so quickly. Need I remind you this bill has not even entered the first house. The legislative process has yet to even begin. So, when you go to fill out that medicinal card registry form, think carefully as the Feds now have all of your info and know where to look in the meantime and who to bust.

As Justin Trudeau said himself, it is still illegal and arrests, raids, fines, will still be in full force, if not more.

Key things to look for in the future:
The 2019 elections and The Liberal Government, once again pulling the Cannabis Community support card in hopes for a bigger turn out at the polls.

Obama Administration Official Admits Obama Was Spying On Trump

Former Obama Administration Official admits on MSNBC that Obama spied on Trump.

Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Evelyn Farkas recently admitted on MSNBC that the Obama administration was spying on Trump. In a slew of grammatically incorrect sentences that were clearly not planned or put together prior to appearing on TV, Farkas slipped up and could have even lost her old friend President Obama when she said that:

“I was urging my former colleagues… Get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can before President Obama leaves the administration because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior people who left. So it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy that the Trump folks, if they found out how we knew what we knew about their the staff the Trump staff dealing with Russians, that they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we would no longer have access to the intelligence. So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more. We have very good intelligence on Russia.”

In other words, it looks like Farkas and crew were terrified at the imminent transition of power, and at least knew about last-minute spying techniques that were allegedly used on Donald Trump’s transition team.

Barack Obama was not happy when these allegations first came about, even reportedly telling one journalist: “Like I’d want to hear more from that fool… My first thought was, only a narcissist on the scale of Donald Trump would think people want to hear more from him than they currently do. If anything I think we’d all like to hear way less” after being asked about the claims.

Obama’s harsh denials of the wiretapping claims made many unbiased thinkers step back and wait for more information, but today we know that one of these high-level Democrats, either Obama or Farkas, is lying.

Former President Obama is no stranger to controversy. He signed off on the drone bombing of American citizens, overthrew foreign governments, perpetuated wars overseas in the Middle East, persecuted journalists and whistleblowers, increased the surveillance state, among other things.

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Faces Russian Arrest Warrant

Article via Zero Hedge by Zainab Calcuttawala via OilPrice.com

As the Russia versus Ukraine gas war continues, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk now faces a Russian arrest warrant in addition to the international arrest warrant that has been active against him since February 21st, according to reports on filings from a town in southern Russia.

The Yessentuki court said it issued the warrant due to Yatsenyuk’s alleged participation in an armed group fighting against Russian troops in Chechnya in the 1990s.

The Ukrainian government alerted the formal official of the warrant, according to a Facebook post from Yatsenyuk’s official account.

Yatsenyuk resigned from his position in Ukrainian politics in April, citing frustrations from the Western-leaning government’s inability to enact “real changes” in the domestic scene.

He had held the office since pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych lost his position to protests in February 2014.

Ukrainian prime ministers enjoy the perk of becoming head of the national natural gas company, Naftogaz, when they are sworn in.

Since Kiev switched allegiances to Europe, that company has been in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s crosshairs.

Just a week ago, the Russian gas company Gazprom claimed around $50 billion from Ukraine’s Naftogaz during a round of international arbitration over gas pricing contracts, and the claim could potentially swell to $80 billion, according to Naftogaz chief commercial officer Yuriy Vitrenko.

Roman Storozhev, who leads the Association of Subsoil Users of Ukraine, or UkrNadra, says new investments from the private sector would go a long way towards reducing corruption in the state-run gas company.

Naftogaz has a monopoly position on the Ukrainian gas market because of the impact on its subsidiaries Ukrtransgaz, Ukrtransnafta, and Ukrgazvydobuvannia,” he says. “Naftogaz does everything. And it doesn’t do it well.”

In September, Kiev attempted to restructure the giant firm, but none of the outlined steps have been completed so far.

Congress Sides With The Cable And Telephone Industry, Repealing Broadband Privacy Rules

Article via EFF

Putting the interests of Internet providers over Internet users, Congress today voted to erase landmark broadband privacy protections. If the bill is signed into law, companies like Cox, Comcast, Time Warner, AT&T, and Verizon will have free rein to hijack your searches, sell your data, and hammer you with unwanted advertisements. Worst yet, consumers will now have to pay a privacy tax by relying on VPNs to safeguard their information. That is a poor substitute for legal protections.

Make no mistake, by a vote of 215 to 205 a slim majority of the House of Representatives have decided to give our personal information to an already highly profitable cable and telephone industry so that they can increase their profits with our data. The vote broke along party lines, with Republicans voting yes, although 15 Republicans broke ranks to vote against the repeal with the Democrats.

Should President Donald Trump sign S.J. Res. 34 into law, big Internet providers will be given new powers to harvest your personal information in extraordinarily creepy ways. They will watch your every action online and create highly personalized and sensitive profiles for the highest bidder. All without your consent. This breaks with the decades long legal tradition that your communications provider is never allowed to monetize your personal information without asking for your permission first. This will harm our cybersecurity as these companies become giant repositories of personal data. It won’t be long before the government begins demanding access to the treasure trove of private information Internet providers will collect and store.

While today is extremely disappointing, there is still tomorrow. Without a doubt Internet providers (with the exception of the small providers who stood with us) will engage in egregious practices, and we are committed to mobilizing the public to push back. EFF will continue the fight to restore our privacy rights on all fronts. We will fight to restore your privacy rights in the courts, in the states, in Washington, D.C., and with technology. We are prepared for the long haul of pushing a future Congress to reverse course and once again side with the public.

Tom Perez Fires Entire DNC Staff To Overhaul Democratic Party

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 01:41 AM PDT

We Are Change

The Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) new head, former Labor Secretary Tom Perez, has asked all its staff to submit resignation letters in a move to overhaul the party, which was stung by scandals during the 2016 presidential election when its emails were leaked.

Shortly after Perez became the party’s chair in late February, the DNC requested resignation letters to be dated April 15.

NBC News reported the decision was announced to DNC staff by an aide to former DNC interim chair Donna Brazile.

Brazile ended up embroiled in the a scandal after the leaked DNC emails by Wikileaks caused former DNC head Debbie Wasserman Schultz to resign after her unfair bias was exposed of the Clinton campaign over the Sanders campaign, when she was supposed to be neutral.

In a statement, Perez spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa downplayed the move by the DNC, calling it a “typical part of any leadership transition.”

“This is longstanding precedent at the DNC and has happened during multiple Chair transitions,” Hinojosa said. “The process was started before the election of the new Chair.  From the beginning, Tom has been adamant that we structure the DNC for future campaigns. Current and future DNC staff will be integral to that effort.  Over the last few months, the DNC staff has done incredible work under immense pressure to hold Trump accountable.”

Back in late February, Perez appeared on Meet the Press to tell Chuck Todd that he would look to implement a “culture change” at the DNC before comparing his own party to a busted plane traveling at 20,000 feet, Zerohedge reported.

Perez has spent his first weeks on the job in “active listening mode,” hearing from Democrats in Washington and in small group meetings across the country before making any big moves.

“What we’re trying to do is culture change,” he told NBC News between stops of a listening tour in Michigan Friday. “We’re repairing a plane at 20,000 feet. You can’t land the plane, shut it down, and close it until further notice.”

“If your goal is you have to please everyone then you end up pleasing no one,” he added.

This move allows Perez to overhaul the entire DNC, so maybe Perez can just ban Hillary and Chelsea Clinton from the microphone?

That would change the Democratic party.

Erdogan’s War Of Words Inciting Terror In Europe

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 12:11 AM PDT

We Are Change

Article via SCF

Only hours after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a bloodcurdling warning about terror attacks against European citizens, four people lay dead on the streets of London. That death toll may rise further because several of those injured in the attack this week in the British capital are in critical condition, fighting for their lives.

Erdogan was speaking Wednesday in what was yet another diatribe in his ongoing war of words with the European Union. The Turkish leader has been enraged by European governments refusing ministers from Ankara holding political rallies in Germany, Netherlands and Austria among other countries. As a result of the injunctions, he has accused the EU of displaying Islamophobia and hostility towards Turkey.

In his latest barrage earlier this week, Erdogan warned that there would be dire repercussions for EU citizens owing to the perceived stance of their governments.

«If you continue to behave like this, tomorrow in no part of the world, no European, no Westerner will be able to take steps on the street safely and peacefully», Erdogan said.

Tragically, within hours of announcing these very words, a British-born man plowed his speeding car into pedestrians on London’s Westminster Bridge, killing several of them and seriously wounding dozens more. The assailant then got out of his crashed vehicle and ran into the grounds of the British parliament where he stabbed a police officer to death, before being fatally shot by another officer.

The attacker was named as 52-year-old Khalid Masood, a British citizen. It is not clear yet what his precise motives were, but the deadly attack was subsequently claimed by the Islamic State terror group.

Turkey’s Erdogan was reportedly one of many world leaders who quickly phoned British premier Theresa May to offer his condolences. Later on Wednesday night, Erdogan released a statement on social media, saying: «We stand in solidarity with the UK, our friend and ally, against terrorism, the greatest threat to global peace and security».

There is a sense here that the Turkish leader was reeling from his own earlier warnings of would-be terror consequences for European citizens, and how his tirades against the EU might be implicated in inciting violence.

Certainly, the EU, in short-order, seemed to find Erdogan’s forecasting of acts of terrorism against European citizens and how «they would not be safe on streets around the world» to be lamentable.

Turkey’s envoy in Brussels was promptly summoned to «explain» the president’s doom-laden words. The day after the London killings, the EU foreign affairs spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic reportedly said: «We have asked the Turkish permanent delegate to the EU to come… as we would like to receive an explanation with regard to the comments by President Erdogan concerning the safety of Europeans on the streets of the world».

At best, Erdogan’s chilling warnings against European citizens are grossly insensitive. Apart from the carnage in London, on the very day that he issued his grim forecast of violence, the date was also the first anniversary of the terror attacks in Brussels when more than 30 people were killed by suicide bombers in the Belgian capital on March 22 last year.

Over the past year, there have been several other terror attacks on the streets of European cities, including the carnage in Nice when a would-be jihadist drove an articulated lorry into a pedestrians last July, killing over 80.

There was also an horrific attack in Berlin when an assailant drove a lorry into a crowded Christmas market.

In all these incidents, there appears to be an Islamist connection. The perpetrators may be acting in some sort of «lone wolf» capacity, without the organizational support of the al Qaeda terror network. But that’s beside the point. The attacks appear to be motivated by some level of Islamist grievance. Perhaps acts of revenge against European governments and citizens who are perceived as being complicit in illegal wars on, or persecution of, Muslim majority countries in the Middle East.

This is where Turkish President Erdogan bears more responsibility than merely just «bad timing» or being «insensitive» remarks.

In recent weeks, Erdogan and senior government ministers in Ankara have been engaging in a reckless war of words with the EU, which can be viewed as bordering on incitement.

Erdogan has repeatedly accused Germany and The Netherlands of acting like «Nazis and fascists». He has condemned the whole of the EU as being «racist» and «anti-Islam».

Just last week, Erdogan claimed that Dutch UN peacekeeping troops were responsible for the Srebrenica massacre in 1995, when up to 8,000 Muslim men were killed by Serb forces. Erdogan said the Dutch had the blood of Muslims «on their hands».

Ankara’s fit of rage stems from European governments blocking political rallies being held in their cities by Erdogan’s ruling Justice and Development Party. Those rallies are aimed at mobilizing Turkish expatriates to vote in Turkey’s referendum next month, which is being held to endorse increasing constitutional powers for Erdogan’s presidency.

Erdogan’s grip on power has already become increasingly autocratic since the attempted coup against his rule failed last July.

In order to push Turkish voters to back his sought-after constitutional changes, Erdogan is evidently whipping up patriotic fervor and in particular Islamist fervor by indulging in a war of words with the EU.

Denouncing European states as «anti-Islamic» and «racist» may gain Erdogan votes. But such incitement has consequences. This war of words is not an abstract phenomenon. It risks inflicting real human casualties, as Europe has all-too often witnessed over the past year.

If EU governments had any spine, they would hold Erdogan legally to account over his potentially seditious behavior.

But the supine EU is too busy trying to keep the Turkish sultan sweet so that he doesn’t open the refugee floodgates from the wars that European governments have been stoking across the Middle East and North Africa.

Israel Has A Plan To Capitalize On Syria’s Civil War

Posted: 28 Mar 2017 11:22 PM PDT

We Are Change

Israel has revealed a new plan to help rebuild war-torn Syria – with the ultimate goal of securing massive stores of natural resources. The plan would rely on significant investment from the U.S., a financial burden that will likely fall hardest on the shoulders of the American public.

Article via Mint Press News by Whitney Webb

When the United States or any other nation disposed to foreign interventionism is forced to justify an invasion, the term “nation-building” is often used prominently in their defense, along with often dubious claims of humanitarianism. While the phrase “nation-building” serves as a useful euphemism – implying that the destructive force of war can actually be something constructive – it is, in practice, nothing more than an updated moniker for neocolonialism.

The six-year-long conflict in Syria is a textbook example of the efforts of several governments to destabilize and then re-create a nation in order to align it according to their own geopolitical and economic interests. As recent evidence has shown, efforts to destabilize the geopolitically and economically strategic nation of Syria date back to the 1980s, when the Reagan administration analyzed the Syrian regime’s potential for destabilization in a purposely provocative manner.

But from 2006 to the present, the United States’ long-standing effort to destabilize Syria has come into its own, ranging from the creation of subversive terrorist groups to the widespread use of weaponized media propaganda, as well as strong sanctions and the ever-present threat of foreign intervention – all in the name of ousting the current Syrian regime led by Bashar al-Assad.

While the U.S. has received most of the attention that has thus far been directed at foreign nations operating covertly in Syria, other countries have been just as involved in bringing about the current conflict, with no plans to halt their operations until Assad has been deposed. Chief among these nations is Israel, a colonial ethno-state that has consistently defended any and all efforts – regardless of their connection to terrorism – that could depose Assad.

With Assad’s regime proving to be more difficult to eradicate than presumed, Israel has now officially announced its plan to “rebuild” Syria. This plan would be funded by the U.S. and would grant Israel what it wants most – sovereignty over the energy-rich Golan Heights.

The “Six-Day War” And Israel’s Longstanding Antagonism

Antagonism between Syria and Israel has been a strong factor in regional politics since the mid-20th century, when Israel’s founding provoked a series of wars between the Jewish ethno-state and its neighbors. Though Syria was very much involved in these early wars, as well as in clashes with Israel over disputed territory on their shared border, the animosity between the two nations culminated decades later in the Six-Day War of 1967.

This conflict saw the seizure of Syrian, Jordanian and Egyptian territory following these countries’ military defeat at the hands of the Israel Defense Force. Though Israel eventually returned some of the territory it seized, it continued to retain control of the Golan Heights, moving to fully occupy the territory in 1981 through the construction of settlements and the expansion of its military presence in the region.

In the years since, Israel’s expansion has continued despite international opposition, including opposition from the United Nations – which continues to deny Israel official sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

Due to the seizure of this land and other political and military conflicts with Israel over the years, tensions between Israel and Syria have remained high, especially considering that they have technically been in a state of war with each other for several decades. However, aside from the three major wars fought between the two nations, the antagonism between Syria and Israel has largely become more furtive, with Israel beginning to take more aggressive – albeit covert – moves against the Assad regime in the early 2000’s.

Israel’s recent involvement in Syria clearly points to a concerted effort to destabilize the Assad regime and the country in general. According to released Wikileaks cables, Israel’s covert subversion and destabilization of Syria was launched in or around 2006, when the Israeli government created a plan to aggressively destabilize Syria by covert means – with the support of the United States, Turkey, and “moderate Sunni” regimes.

The plan centered around creating “paranoia within the Syrian government; to push it to overreact” by overblowing and creating a domestic threat from Islamic extremists, fomenting sectarian strife and exaggerating Iran’s influence in these and other domestic conflicts. As Wikileaks’ editor-in-chief Julian Assange noted, the cables revealed that the Israeli government felt that if Syria became “sufficiently destabilized, [Israel] might be in a position where it can keep the Golan Heights forever, or even advance that territory.”

This plan laid the groundwork for the emergence of the current conflict in 2011 – chiefly through the funding of Islamic extremists and the strengthening of sectarian divisions. In the years since, Israel has also contributed to destabilization in other significant ways, such as aiding and funding “rebel” opposition groups (including those widely considered to be terrorist organizations); violating already tenuous ceasefire agreements between the Syrian regime and opposition forces and having an illegal troop presence active in Syria to prevent it from “becoming a front against” Israel.

Fomenting sectarianism in Middle Eastern nations is a time-tested strategy that has frequently been used by Israeli political and military interests against nations whose territory it seeks to annex. The decades-old “Yinon Plan” for Israeli expansion, for instance, called for the “dissolution” of Israel’s neighboring states, including Egypt, Syria and Iraq.

As Anti-War noted, “Each country was to be made to ‘fall apart along sectarian and ethnic lines,’ after which each resulting fragment would be ‘hostile’ to its ‘neighbors.’” Thus, it seems logical that Israel would follow the same playbook in Syria, particularly when it is so keenly interested in the Golan Heights.

Israel Capitalizing on Destabilization in the Golan Heights

The Golan Heights are key to understanding Israel’s interests in destabilizing Syria. At face value, Israel’s greatest interest in retaining control of the region is linked to the large Israeli settler population that has displaced the native Druze and lives in exclusive, Jewish-only communities – communities that have proliferated under the cover of the chaos caused by the current conflict in Syria.

As the crisis in Syria drags on, Israel continues to make efforts to expand its settlements in the Golan Heights, despite the fact that these settlements are considered illegal under international law.

In 2015, Israel announced plans to quintuple the size of its existing settler population of some 21,000 Israelis in the Golan by adding more than 100,000 settlers by 2020. As the New York Times noted at the time, this plan was the work of the “many Israeli leaders and thinkers seizing on the chaos in Syria to solidify Israel’s hold on the Golan.”

However, the expansion and protection of the existing settler population is not Israel’s main interest in the Golan Heights. The expansion of the Israeli settler and military presence in the Golan Heights has been carried out in order to strengthen Israel’s ability to secure the one thing it wants most from the seized territory – significant fossil fuel reserves said to amount to “billions of barrels” of oil.

Controlling the Golan is in Israel’s interests, as it is a nation that lacks key energy resources. Ever since Israel occupied the Golan Heights, there has been the promise of gaining access to that area’s significant shale gas reserves. However, developing these reserves has remained elusive, as its illegal occupation of the area renders any efforts to extract resources illegal as well under international law.

With the Syrians and international community distracted by the chaos caused by Israeli-funded opposition groups, Israeli fossil fuel interests have begun drilling exploratory wells throughout the Golan Heights. Chief among these interests is Afek Oil and Gas, an Israeli branch of the New Jersey-based company Genie Energy, whose investors include Dick Cheney, Jacob Rothschild and Rupert Murdoch – further evidence of the collusion between U.S.-Israeli geopolitical goals that clearly enjoy the blessing of the elite.

Israel is determined to claim the Golan’s resources at any cost – not just out of its national interests, but its business interests as well.

Reconstruction As Occupation – Israel’s Galant Plan

Israeli soldiers walks near the border with Syria near the site of a Sunday Israeli airstrike, in the Israeli controlled Golan Heights, Monday, April 27, 2015. With Assad not only weathering years of destabilization efforts but actually strengthening his regime’s power, Israel has apparently realized that it might have to changes its strategy to consolidate control over the Golan Heights and its resources in the event that Assad proves impossible to remove from power.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, an Israeli daily newspaper, Yoav Galant – Israel’s minister of construction – has proposed a multibillion-dollar plan to rebuild the nation after the civil war it has helped to fuel has destroyed large swaths of the nation’s infrastructure.

According to the proposal, the U.S. would take the “special role” in assuming the financial burden of reconstruction through “dozens of billions of dollars” of investments. Despite the weight that such a plan would place upon U.S. taxpayers, Galant asserted that the plan would be advantageous to the U.S., as well as Russia, Europe and the “moderate Sunni world.”

Not surprisingly, Galant’s plan comes with several caveats. One of them is the negation of Iranian influence in Syria, the other key reason for Israel’s involvement in the country. But most telling of all is the plan’s demand that Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights be internationally recognized – the condition on which the entire plan hinges.

Galant’s proposal to rebuild Syria came only weeks after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that “the Golan is part of Israel and we will stay there for the world to acknowledge it as so.”

This plan – as absurd as it may seem to some spectators – may be the Israeli government’s last-ditch attempt at a “diplomatic” solution to the Syrian crisis, as tensions between the Israeli and Syrian militaries have spiked in recent weeks.

Though Syria and Israel have exchanged fire on numerous occasions throughout the conflict – with numerous exchanges taking place in the Golan Heights – a recent exchange in which Syria shot down Israeli planes in its air space represents the greatest escalation of overt military hostilities between the two forces since the conflict’s inception. This is largely due to Israel’s reaction to the incident, as the Israeli defense minister promised to destroy Syrian air defense systems “without the slightest hesitation” were Syria to use its systems in such a way again.

Israel may soon begin eyeing a military solution in order to accomplish its goals in Syria if its proposal to “rebuild” the country falls on deaf ears.
