Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, ex-wife of former NBA star Dwayne Wade, is suing her former husband in order to stop their son’s ongoing gender transition.
Dwayne Wade filed for their 15-year-old son to be called Zaya as part of his gender transition to become a girl. Funches-Wade is objecting and believes her ex-husband is gaining financially from their son’s transition and is encouraging it for self-serving purposes.
She said Wade “is positioned to profit from the minor child’s name and gender change with various companies through contacts and marketing opportunities including but not limited to deals with Disney.”
