Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox may need to do some atoning after being accused of “mocking” Christianity with their Halloween costumes.
The “Bloody Valentine” rocker wore a set of black and red priest robes while holding a leash around the actress’ neck.
Fox, meanwhile, dressed in black PVC lingerie, fishnets stockings, thigh-high black boots, and a silk shawl.
“On Sundays we take communion,” the “Jennifer’s Body” star captioned the photo set on Sunday, which appeared to show Kelly feeding her communion bread.
“Let this be mocking ANY other religion/worldview and everyone would be so upset. I swear the obsession with mocking Jesus and the Christian faith is just so sickening and hateful. Not surprised though,” one commenter wrote.
“Notice how Christianity is the only religion that is openly mocked and people find it comical?? Hmm,” another follower chimed in.
A third fan added, “Totally dislike these costumes. And to mock communion is sad to me!!! I’m a fan of you both but damn this was jus like a total WTF MOMENT FOR ME!!!!”
However, this wasn’t Fox and Kelly’s first 2022 Halloween costume to stir up controversy.
The couple’s interpretation of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson was very on the nose, as Kelly shared a video of himself snorting and licking “cocaine” off Fox’s chest.
“happy Halloween virgins 👼🏼,” he captioned an Instagram carousel of photos from the Casamigos party Friday.
“Ok but this? Hell na, might ur music be good but the drugs? not that much,” one follower wrote, referencing Kelly’s large fan base of teenage girls.
“Him thinking it’s ok to post a video doing a f–king line is crossing a f–king line after every artist we’ve had over dose in the past few years,” another person chimed in.
The couple, who got engaged in January, were even criticized for picking that costume altogether.
“tommy lee was handcuffed and sent to jail for six months for felony spousal abuse but apparently that’s trendy now, huh,” one Twitter user wrote alongside a snap of the couple in costume.
