There Is a Wall of Fire Shortly Ahead Set by a British Arsonist—Will You Walk Through It?

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)—In the December 2018 House of Lords Report, “British Foreign Policy in a Shifting World Order,” the British imperium targeted four nations: China, Russia, India, and the United States, for intervention and disruption. Americans are familiar with our side of this targeting: the years-long Russiagate hoax run first against candidate Trump and continued against President Donald Trump. It’s now old news—MI6’s Christopher Steele authoring the dirty dossier against Trump, a bevy of overseas informants and provocateurs, full-spectrum illegal surveillance, leaks, and information war—these were all, as James Comey said, “Crown” operations conducted in conjunction with the Obama White House.

Continuing their criminal interference in American elections, in the House of Lords Report, the British aristocracy rejects the option that Donald Trump can receive a second term as President. In sections #37-39, the report states: “The U.S. Administration has taken a number of high-profile unilateral foreign policy decisions that are contrary to the interests of the United Kingdom. In particular, U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement on climate change … the difficulty the U.K. andits allies have faced in trying to influence the U.S. demonstrates the challenge of working with the Administration…. Should President Trump win a second term, or a similar Administration succeed him, the damage to U.K.-U.S. relations will be longer lasting….” That means that Imperial Britain plans to intervene again to defeat Donald Trump and they are intervening heavily, again, already. While you may conclude that the babbling fools who comprise the Democratic candidates will never make it, the danger is in what you don’t presently see.

The Lords’ financial system, comprised of the City of London and Wall Street, is once again about to blow out. Following the collapse of 2008, which produced economic carnage throughout the world, the financiers simply reconstructed the same financial bubble, this time at almost twice the size of the previous one. To maintain their power, the City of London has invented a gigantic scam—the Green Finance Institute. Their intent is to deindustrialize all Europe, especially Germany, looting the revenue from tens of thousands of businesses and even personal accounts in the name of saving the planet. Additional funds will finance a new international eco-fascist movement, in which populations, under threat of force, accept deadly austerity and genocide against themselves in order to drive population down to levels completely deindustrialized nations can support. Under the rubric of a youth-driven “Extinction Rebellion” they plan to extinguish 6 billion people.

The late economist and statesman Lyndon LaRouche said there were four countries with the economic potential, which, if allied, could not only survive the collapse of the British Imperial financial system but also emerge from that collapse at a higher level of productivity and culture. Those nations are Russia, China, India, and the United States. LaRouche proposed that those four countries collaborate on joint development of advanced technologies, basic science, space exploration, and large-scale infrastructure development. He proposed that these four countries collaborate, at the same time, on a New Bretton Woods monetary system, fixing exchange rates and allowing for issuance of massive amounts of low interest credit to support a world of sovereign nation states, reciprocally trading with one another for mutual advantage and cooperating in rapid physical development of underdeveloped nation states. This proposal would eliminate the British-sponsored speculative casino economy which has ravaged the world. The expanded productivity inherent in this proposal would not only support the world’s population at a higher level, it would require that the world actually be inhabited by many, many, more people. Not surprisingly, LaRouche’s four powers—the United States, Russia, China, and India—are exactly the countries now targeted by the British Imperium for war and subversion:

Demonstrations against Vladimir Putin in Russia are now occurring, orchestrated by an NGO-based peace movement. These NGOs are fronts for the same Anglo-American intelligence entities and financiers, such as George Soros, who promoted the phony Russiagate lie aimed at destroying President Trump, and tore our country apart with war hysteria against Russia and against this President’s calls for peace.

China is being targeted through the former British Crown Colony of Hong Kong. Violent “democracy” demonstrations are aimed at requiring the Chinese government to respond militarily, boxing President Trump into an impossible position where he will, they hope, be forced to abandon any form of collaboration with his friend Xi Jinping, particularly as the 2020 election looms and Democrats and establishment Republicans assail the President with claims that he is not tough enough. Anyone who is not deluded knows that the financiers of the City of London and Wall Street and the corrupt politicians they enabled, are the bandits who stole the American economy and moved it to China and other low-wage destinations. The President himself says he does not blame China, and instead, singles out the globalist institutions like the World Trade Organization which our elite traitors signed us into. If China has stolen anything from the United States, it is the idea of directed credit to support basic science, productive and modern industry and transportation, and building great infrastructure projects—something which we used to do before we were convinced to become a “consumer” society.

The British are also stoking the ancient Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan, a conflict rooted in the racial and religious divisions they originally created under colonialism.

In the United States, we have entered “Phase Two” of the coup against the Presidency, involving the oft-repeated phrase, heard regularly in fake news, especially MSNBC and CNN, that “anyone that voted for Donald Trump or supports Donald Trump is a white supremacist.” These claims are aimed at provoking or justifying acts of violence.

Those who believe that the British Empire ceased to exist after World War II are ignorant of the fact that the City of London presently controls the world’s financial flows. Most of what formerly was Wall Street now lives in the one square mile called the City of London Corporation, in London. British think-tanks and intelligence agencies control the ideology factories and propaganda fonts by which populations are subdued and herded, like the ancient Romans, into the emotional shows and entertainments of the day. Their charge is to maintain, at all costs, the City’s financial power. It is that combined power which is often referred to here, erroneously, as the Deep State.

The British Commonwealth, under the Queen as sovereign, comprises over 31% of the world’s population and one in three countries in the world. It controls international organized crime, the drug trade, and fostered and promoted Islamic terrorism as a force for hybrid warfare and regime change. It has deeply infiltrated the foreign policy institutions of the United States and our leading universities since the end of World War II, resulting in British-originated ideas, such as the post-industrial society and anthropogenic climate change, becoming hegemonic in our society, destroying our commitment to science and ravaging the rational potential of young minds.

The name Lyndon LaRouche has been synonymous with the idea, “crush the British Empire,” for four decades. The British Imperium understands LaRouche’s plan for their destruction and for the emergence of creative humankind in their wake, just as they understood, and fiercely fought, the same intention from Franklin Roosevelt. They also understand that President Trump has flanked them with his support of the nation state, his efforts to create productive jobs in manufacturing and infrastructure, his efforts to end their wars, and his announcement of his manned space initiative, the plan to get back to the Moon by 2024 and then to proceed to Mars. They understand that an economically mobilized and scientifically advancing United States, a situation made possible by the President’s commitment to returning to the Moon and colonizing Mars, can lead to the necessary agreements among the four powers which will end the British Empire once and for all.

The fact, that this Presidency withstood their initial full-scale and reckless attack, has now left them in a very exposed and very weak place, a weakness they have not experienced since the end of World War II. They are wounded, but yet determined and intent on taking down anyone who gets in their way.

A President who knows he can rely on a rational and advancing population without playing Washington’s evil games, can bring this great historic change about, a change necessitated under the conditions of crisis which are about to emerge.

Domestically, we need LaRouche’s Four Laws for Economic Recovery: Glass-Steagall banking separation and a national bank or similar plan for creating credit directed solely to physical productive purposes—huge modern infrastructure projects, city building and rebuilding, basic science and R&D.  We need funding for the crash programs—human space exploration the President has already outlined, together with a crash program for fusion power. These Four Laws will drive our economy forward and create real productive jobs. The great adventure of space will fire the imaginations and minds of our young people. Internationally, the Four Powers should begin conferring on establishing a New Bretton Woods monetary system and on joint plans to both explore space and fully develop our Earth. In this changed world, no one will listen to the formerly powerful anymore. This great change will be, in addition, for this President, the sweetest justice against the foe who set out to destroy him. Will you help us create the community of citizens, ferociously supporting these policies, so that we might bring this great and wonderful change about?

U.S. POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC

Chinese Ambassadors Tell Europeans, China Has Legal Basis To Intervene in Hong Kong, If Required

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)—China’s Ambassadors to the United Kingdom and Germany emphasized to European media that the Chinese government will act, if the situation in Hong Kong becomes “uncontrollable.”

China’s long-time Ambassador to the U.K. Liu Xiaoming told reporters in London today that the Chinese government “would not sit on its hands and watch. We have enough solutions and enough power within the limit of the Basic Law to quell any unrest swiftly…. We hope this will end in an orderly way. In the meantime we are fully prepared for the worst.”

Ambassador to Germany Wu Ken likewise told ZDF television that “the current situation first and foremost is the responsibility of the [Hong Kong Special Autonomous Region] S.A.R. government. But if the S.A.R. government fails to control the situation, the central government would, of course, provide assistance.”

BBC reported obnoxiously that Ambassador Liu insisted on reminding London also that Hong Kong is no longer part of the British Empire, when asked by a reporter about a proposal by Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee Chairman Tom Tugendhat to extend U.K. citizenship rights to Hong Kong Chinese. “I think some of them [MPs] still regard Hong Kong as part of British Empire and they treat Hong Kong as part of the U.K. They are going to have to change their mindset, put them in the proper position and regard Hong Kong as a part of China, not as a part of the U.K.,” Liu responded.

Liu pointed to the hypocrisy of the U.K. calling for “restraint” and dialogue. “Would the U.K. allow extremists to storm the Palace of Westminster and damage its facilities and get away with it? Would the U.K. give permission for attacking police officers with lethal weapons or setting fire to police stations without any punishment? Would the U.K. allow so-called pro-democracy rioters to occupy the airport, obstruct traffic, disturb social order or threaten safety and people’s life and property? Aren’t all these regarded as crimes in the U.K.?”

He lashed out at the “foreign forces” and “foreign organizations” that were interfering in the Hong Kong situation, both in their political and financial support for the demonstrators, underlining that these actions as well as statements by foreign officials were giving encouragement to the violent demonstrators. This was also the case with the meetings that the British Foreign Office held with leaders of the Hong Kong opposition, he said.

Ambassador Liu was confident that the Hong Kong government would be able to handle the situation. “It is a critical moment for Hong Kong. We hope this will end in an orderly way, but are prepared for the worst,” he said. He pointed out four criteria the Chinese government wanted to emphasize must be followed in resolving the crisis. Firstly, the Beijing government gives its full support to the Hong Kong S.A.R. government. He also encouraged the Hong Kong people to clearly say no to the violence. Secondly, the violent offenders must be brought to justice; thirdly, foreign forces must stop interfering in Hong Kong; and fourthly, the media should show their due responsibility in objective reporting about the Hong Kong situation. “Few media have reported the violence in Hong Kong,” Liu said. “There has been selective reporting and distortions in the Western media.” To enlighten them, he showed a ten-minute video depicting some of the protesters’ violence in Hong Kong.

Bolton Joins Congress and Hong Kong Provocateurs in Setting Up U.S. for Anti-China Move

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)—Some Hong Kong protesters have been waving the American flag, sometimes singing the “Star-Spangled Banner,” reported CNN, Townhall website, and the Philadelphia Inquirer’s rabidly anti-Trump columnist Will Bunch.

Some of those protesters have also been open that they are doing so to try and draw the United States into a confrontation with China over Hong Kong. One of those flag-waving protesters told Asia Times that he did so to get, “the U.S. Congress to pass the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act as soon as possible.” (That is the bipartisan bill sponsored by Rep. Jim McGovern [D] in the House and Sen. Marco Rubio [R] in the Senate, which would require the U.S. government to set itself up as the judge and jury of Hong Kong’s autonomy.)

Townhall’s site pointed to statements from other flag-waving, “Star-Spangled Banner”-singing protesters that they want to provoke a Chinese military crackdown, that would force the U.S. government to back Hong Kong.

President Donald Trump, so far, has refused to step into the trap of backing the British-orchestrated “color revolution” in Hong Kong, even referring to the violent Hong Kong protests as “riots.”

Not so National Security Adviser John Bolton, who today publicly joined the British campaign for a U.S.-Chinese confrontation over Hong Kong in an interview with Voice of America.

Bolton threatened that, “the Chinese have to look very carefully at the steps they take, because people in America remember Tiananmen Square … it would be a big mistake to create a new memory like that in Hong Kong.” He as much as admitted that he views the Hong Kong protests as the trigger for a color revolution on the China mainland, by suggesting that President Xi Jinping fears “the spirit that everybody else in China can see about Hong Kong, that they want their freedom.”

And he delivered an implicit warning to President Trump, “I can tell you from what I’ve heard, just in the past few weeks, the mood in Congress is very volatile at this point, and a misstep by the Chinese government, I think, would cause an explosion on Capitol Hill.”

Background Notes on British Empire-Associated Subversion against China in Hong Kong

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)—The following are background notes on some of the obvious features of British Empire-orchestrated subversion operations in Hong Kong:

(1) The chairman of the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee Tom Tugendhat provoked Chinese Ambassador to Britain Liu Xiaoming’s warnings about the British colonialist mindset on Aug. 15, by proposing that U.K. citizenship be extended to Hong Kong Chinese. Tom Tugendhat MBE, a member of the Conservative Party, was a British military intelligence operative before running for Parliament. Among his recent actions: He has characterized last year’s poisoning hoax of Russians Sergei and Yulia Skripal in Salisbury as an act of war against Britain, and otherwise smeared the British law firm Linklaters for its work on the initial public offering of the Russian company EN+.

(2) The players in the uprising in Hong Kong are the same as those that participated in similar uprisings there in 2014—the Occupy Movement, or Umbrella Movement. The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) has, as we have reported, funded and trained key people in the NGOs involved in both events which involved mass mobilizations of teenagers and young people.

Chris Patten, the last British Governor and Commander in Chief, wrote in 2014 that under Hong Kong’s Basic Law, the U.K. had the responsibility to intervene in Hong Kong any time the “the Hong Kong way of life was threatened” for 50 years from 1997, referring to the 1984 Sino-British declaration.

Jimmy Lai, a multi-billionaire owner of Hong Kong and Taiwan tabloids has played an oversized role in both uprisings. It was Lai’s meetings with Mike Pence and Mike Pompeo in July 2019 which created new rifts in U.S.-China relationships.  Lai’s newspapers mirror the British tabloids and have constantly agitated for independence from China. Intercepted emails of Mark Simon, Lai’s right-hand man, reveal a Pentagon background, an internship at the CIA, and a family history at the CIA, although Simon swears he is not a spy. The South China Morning Post revealed on Aug. 11, 2014 that Lai, Paul Wolfowitz, and Simon met on a yacht in Hong Kong harbor to plan the 2014 uprisings. Lai’s entire background remains to be filled out, but he is a hero of the U.S. right-wing libertarian crowd, boasting of personal friendships with Milton Friedman and Gary Becker.  He was also the subject of heroic treatment in a film by the British-oriented Acton Institute in the U.S. in 2008. (See Mike Billington, “Color Revolution: Britain Targets China through Hong Kong,” EIR, Oct. 10, 2014.)

(3) As usual, the Congressional Executive Commission on China is playing an outsize role, putting pressure on President Trump to get tough or else. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) have legislation pending to sanction Chinese officials for failures to preserve human rights in Hong Kong—legislation specifically referred to by Hong Kong protesters waving American flags and singing the U.S. national anthem. Videos of the flag-waving dissidents are being widely circulated in Trump social media circles.

COLLAPSING WESTERN FINANCIAL SYSTEM

Central Banks and Regulators’ Role in Greening the Financial System

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)— While working to implement their global fascist green dictatorship, the financial oligarchy is aware of the danger that, by depreciating CO2-linked assets, or by doing it too fast, banks cannot absorb losses and the system can blow up. They call this a “Minsky moment” and in the effort to avoid that, central bankers and regulators set up an ad hoc group, called “Network for Greening the Financial System” (NGFS.)

The NGFS was created at the COP21 by eight central banks and supervisors and now has 42 members and 8 observers. Its stated purpose is “to help strengthening the global response required to meet the goals of the Paris agreement and to enhance the role of the financial system to manage risks and to mobilize capital for green and low-carbon investments in the broader context of environmentally sustainable development.”

Its mastermind seems to be Bank of England Governor Mark Carney. The Steering Committee is heavily populated by Northern European institutions: Bank of England, Banque de France, Bundesbank, De Nederlandsche Bank, Finansinspektionen (Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority); the Bank al Maghrib (Morocco, francophone), Banco de México, the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the People’s Bank of China are also members of the steering committee. Its website is hosted by the Banque de France.

On April 17, 2019, the NGFS published its first comprehensive report “A Call for Action,” whose recommendations were summarized in an article by Carney, Banque de France Governor François Villeroy de Galhau, and NGFS head Frank Elderson:

“First, integrate the monitoring of climate-related financial risks into day-to-day supervisory work, financial stability monitoring and board risk management. Supervisors are encouraged to set expectations to ensure financial firms are adequately addressing the financial risks from climate change, including by conducting scenario analysis to assess their strategic resilience to climate change policy. Firms are encouraged to take a long-term, strategic approach to the consideration of these risks, and to embed them into their business-as-usual governance and risk-management frameworks.

“Second, lead by example, specifically central banks are encouraged to integrate sustainability into their own portfolio management.

“Third, collaborate to bridge the data gaps to enhance the assessment of climate-related risks. Public authorities should share and if possible make publicly available any climate-risk data.

“Fourth, build in-house capacity and share knowledge with other stakeholders on management of climate-related financial risks. An important element to achieving effective consideration of climate risks across the financial system is to support internal and external collaboration.”

Italy’s Government Crisis Was Plotted with EU Connivance

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)—The end of the Italian government was decided at the meeting between Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and EU Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen on Aug. 2, according to Italian financial analyst Mauro Bottarelli, whose sources are in the City of London: “For many of those attending London trading rooms, the final act of the yellow-green government was accomplished on Aug. 2, when Ursula von Der Leyen visited Giuseppe Conte in Rome, as part of her post-election tour. Not accidentally, [Lega head and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo] Salvini made his first direct and explicit threat to the survival of the government two days later, Aug. 4.”

In reality, as covered in EIR (Italian Economist: ‘Good Finance Is the Instrument of the Real Economy,’ Aug. 16, 2019), a deal had been already struck when Italy’s Five Star MEPs  decided to vote in the European Parliament for von der Leyen as new EU Commission president, providing the decisive numbers to have her elected. The deal was concocted together with the Italian Democratic Party and was based on the EU climate agenda. Von der Leyen is only an executor of decisions which are taken at the highest level in Brussels, Paris, and Berlin.

As part of this scenario, the Italian Senate voted on Aug. 13 against the Lega proposal to set Aug. 14 for a no-confidence vote. Instead, a Five Star-Democratic Party majority (plus smaller groups) set Aug. 20 for Prime Minister Conte to appear before Parliament. This was a signal that the new “alliance against nature” between the Five Stars and the Democratic Party is in the making.

Meanwhile, there is open war between the two components of the still-acting government—e.g., Defense Minister Elisabetta Trenta (M5S) said she won’t sign Interior Minister Matteo Salvini’s order to prevent access to Italian ports for NGO ships.

STRATEGIC WAR DANGER

Syrian Army Forces Closing In on Jihadi Stronghold in Idlib Province

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)—By all accounts, the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces are within a few kilometers, perhaps as close as 3 km, from the gates of Khan Sheikhoun, a major jihadi stronghold in southern Idlib province. AP reported this morning that the SAA had taken three more villages to the west of the city. Al Masdar reported that since the Syrian Army resumed their offensive in southern Idlib, the entire western flank of the militant defenses has collapsed. Unnamed Syrian army officers told Fars News yesterday that Khan Sheikhoun is seen as the “gateway” to Idlib city itself. Khan Sheikhoun’s importance is underscored by the fact that the M5 highway, which connects Aleppo city to Hama and Damascus runs through Khan Sheikhoun.

Once the Syrian army units closing on Khan Sheikhoun from the west meet those coming from the east, they will have succeeded in encircling an area of southern Idlib and northern Hama, cutting off the jihadis trapped inside from their supply lines. They’ll also be catching a Turkish observation post in Morek. The Turks will either have to self-evacuate by helicopter or get help from the Russian military, which is operating a humanitarian corridor just on the other side of the line of engagement. “Either way, the Syrian military has been looking for a way to force Turkey to abandon their observation posts and if this latest maneuver is successful, it might be deployed again in the near future,” Al Masdar reported.

U.S. Sanctions Wrecking Iranian Medical Care

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)—Abbas Kebriaeezadeh, a professor of pharmacology at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences and an official in the Iranian pharmaceutical industry, refutes the claims by U.S. officials, such as Iran special envoy Brian Hook, that U.S. sanctions on Iran are having no effect on medical care and the availability of medicines in Iran. In an article in Foreign Policy, Kebriaeezadeh reports that studies over the past decade by him and his fellow professionals in Iran show that, in fact, there has been a precipitous decline in the availability of imported medicines and the supply inputs for domestically manufactured medicines.

The collapse of the Iranian currency and the reduction of export revenues have had a destructive effect on the Iranian pharmaceutical industry by driving up costs and forcing mass layoffs of highly skilled workers.

Imports of medications into Iran from Europe have fallen 25-30% and from the U.S. by 67% as a result of banking restrictions forced by U.S. sanctions. Opportunists have taken advantage of these supply disruptions to smuggle counterfeit and low-quality medicines into Iran through routes from Pakistan, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, a problem which, if it becomes worse, could result in a public health threat inside Iran.

“What may seem like sterile banking sanctions are truly much more dangerous. These sanctions disrupt the access of the Iranian public—especially the poor, the elderly, children, women, and patients suffering from chronic diseases—to the medications they require,” Kebriaeezadeh writes. “Medicines become more expensive and of worse quality. An unreliable supply chain leads to incomplete treatment of diseases and their becoming chronic.” Kebriaeezadeh insisted that the “sanctions-induced deaths” of many of his countrymen “are not a myth.”

SCIENCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Chief Designer of China’s Chang’e Missions Stresses Why a Nation Must Conduct Space Exploration

Aug. 15 (EIRNS)—In an interview earlier this year with CCTV-13, Wu Weiren, China National Space Administration chief designer for the Chang’e missions, spoke on the Chang’e mission. When asked about China’s future in space, Wu spoke of future missions to Mars, and then farther into “deep space.” The reporter, perplexed, asked how China, with all the social and economic problems it is still facing, could think about such an elaborate future in space. Wu Weiren responded: “I understand that many people are expressing such views. Certainly our present conditions are fairly good, but at the same time we have problems, since we are still a relatively poor country with tens of millions of people living in poverty or living below the poverty level. This has to be resolved, of course. But we have to set our sights farther into space. Our people are a philosophical people. If a people do not raise their heads to look at the starry firmament, but remain fixed in their given conditions, they are a people without hope and without a future.”
