Traitors Push Operations To Stop Trump from Building Relations with Russia and China
June 19 (EIRNS)—Over the past week, corrupt Senators rammed through new sanctions on Russia (and Iran) which were in fact aimed at taking away President Trump’s prerogative to end the illegal sanctions which were imposed by Barack Obama, by executive order, based on lies regarding Russian intervention in the U.S. election. Then Sunday, U.S. military forces which are deployed (illegally) in Syria shot down a Syrian fighter bomber engaged in an attack on ISIS, provoking a stern response from Russia that any further such illegal foreign attacks on the forces of the sovereign state of Syria would risk Russian defense operations.
Who ordered this attack? The Russian Defense Ministry declared a suspension of the agreement with the U.S. regarding deconfliction in military operations, and demanded that “the U.S. Command carry out a careful investigation and report about its results and measures taken.”
Such actions, threatening war between the world’s two leading nuclear powers, is militarily insane. Recall that the U.S. missile attack on the Syrian airbase in April was predicated on the false intelligence reports that the Syrian government had used chemical weapons, for no military or strategic purpose, on its own citizens.
The color revolution now in play against President Trump, involving fake British intelligence channeled through British assets in the U.S. intelligence services, Congress, the mass media, and elements of the U.S. military, must be stopped. Otherwise, the world will be thrown back into the economic chaos and strategic disaster being orchestrated under Presidents Bush and Obama.
In the U.K., the power of the Empire in its home base is being severely tested, and it would be well for Americans to pay close attention. Tory Prime Minister Theresa May and the virtual-Tories in Tony Blair’s “New Labour” faction of the Labour Party are threatened with being dumped following May’s shocking loss of a majority in the recent election, followed by the horrendous fire of the public housing high rise in London, which may have killed well over 100 innocents. Sources in the U.K. tell EIR that the May government is lying about the death toll, hoping that the furor dies down, but also because any incident with over 100 deaths must by law become a criminal investigation. The “old” Labour candidate Jeremy Corbyn—whose program includes an end to regime-change warfare, an infrastructure fund to kick start the economy, an end to the sanctions against Russia and Iran, nuclear power development, and participation in the New Silk Road—is increasingly seen as a probable winner in any new election, while the crumbling of the Tories increasingly indicates that they will indeed have to call such a new election.
Recall that it was Tony Blair who created the first “dodgy dossier” making up fake intelligence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, launching the Iraq war, the spread of terrorism and the refugee disaster. The current coup attempt against Trump was launched by “dodgy dossier #2” authored by MI6 agent Christopher Steele, making up stories about Trump and Russia to spread through their networks in the U.S., an operation which has now reached the level of incitement to kill.
Thus far, the Putin administration has refused to be provoked into a confrontational policy with the new administration in Washington, neither in response to the sanctions nor to the attacks in Syria. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, following the downing of the Syrian aircraft, referred to the “zones of de-escalation” implemented by Russia, Iran, and Turkey within Syria, as “one of the possible options to jointly move forward,” and that: “We call on everyone to avoid unilateral moves, respect Syrian sovereignty and join our common work which is agreed with the Syrian Arab Republic’s government.”
It is the responsibility of the citizens of the United States to recognize, and identify, the criminal individuals and institutions attempting to destroy the government and the sovereignty of our nation. China has deployed leading political and industrial leaders to the United States this week, at the invitation of the Trump administration, to discuss cooperation in the Belt and Road Initiative—the New Silk Road—in building infrastructure, investing in industry and agriculture, and cooperating with U.S. industry in developing nations in Asia, Africa and South America. It is this U.S. participation in the new paradigm of progress and cooperation for all nations and peoples, which is now in place under Chinese and Russian leadership, that the dinosaurs of the decayed British Empire and its Wall Street assets are desperate to destroy. Their deadly coup attempt must be stopped, and the American people freed to contribute to the future of mankind.

Russia Cuts Off Syria Deconfliction Line with U.S. Military
June 19 (EIRNS)—The Russian Defense Ministry responded to the U.S. shoot-down of a Syrian Air Force jet yesterday, by announcing that, as of today, the deconfliction line between the U.S. headquarters in Qatar and the Russian airbase in Latakia is shut down.
“As of June 19 this year, the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation has ended its interaction with the U.S. side under a memorandum for preventing incidents and providing for safe flights during operations in Syria and demands that the U.S. command carry out a careful investigation and report about its results and the measures taken,” the Defense Ministry statement reads, reports TASS. “The shooting down of a Syrian Air Force jet in Syria’s airspace is a cynical violation of Syria’s sovereignty. The U.S.’ repeated combat operations under the guise of ‘combatting terrorism’ against the legitimate armed forces of a UN member-state are a flagrant violation of international law, in addition to being actual military aggression against the Syrian Arab Republic,” the ministry said.
Russia will regard any flights within the area of its air force group’s operation in Syria as legitimate targets, the ministry stressed. “Any aircraft, including planes and drones of the international coalition, detected in the operation areas west of the Euphrates River by the Russian air forces will be followed by Russian ground-based air defense and air defense aircraft as air targets,” the report said. The reason for the shutdown, the Russians said, is that Russian aircraft were operating in the same area at the time of the shoot down, and the U.S. did not use the deconfliction line at the time. “We consider the actions of the U.S. command as a deliberate default on their obligations under the memorandum on preventing incidents and providing for safe flights during operations in Syria signed on October 20, 2015,” the Defense Ministry stressed.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, speaking in Beijing, where he met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, called on the U.S. and its allies to respect Syrian sovereignty.
“Zones of de-escalation are one of the possible options to jointly move forward” against terrorism. “We call on everyone to avoid unilateral moves, respect Syrian sovereignty, and join our common work which is agreed with the Syrian Arab Republic’s government,” Lavrov stated. “As for the events on the ground in the Syrian Arab Republic, it is necessary to fully respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria. Therefore, any actions on the ground, and there are many involved parties, including those who carry out military operations, must be coordinated with Damascus,” Lavrov said. This is what Russia is doing with Turkey and Iran in the Astana process, he said.
The Syrian General Command denounced the shoot-down, immediately after it happened, as a “flagrant aggression” that “undoubtedly affirms the U.S. real stance in support of terrorism which aims to affect the capability of the Syrian Arab Army—the only active force—along with its allies that practice its legitimate right in combatting terrorism all over Syria.” It stressed that the Syrian pilot was carrying out a strike against ISIS when he was shot down by the U.S. plane.
Gen. Flynn Planned a U.S.-Russian Consortium To Build 40 Nuclear Power Plants across Mideast
June 19 (EIRNS)—Newsweek has published a fascinating report, picked up in numerous websites, that Gen. Michael Flynn in 2015 had travelled to Egypt and Israel with a proposal for a U.S./Russian consortium to build as many as 40 nuclear power plants across the Middle East, funded by the Saudis and other Gulf states. Flynn had headed the Defense Intelligence Agency until he was fired in 2014 by Obama.
Recall that General Flynn in November 2016, after being chosen by President-elect Trump as his national security advisor, said in an interview that the Middle East required a Marshall Plan, that the vast unemployed youth of the Arab world needed employment and a future to end them from turning to terrorism out of desperation.
The Newsweek article is absurd in one sense, since it ridicules this idea as lunacy, supposedly demonstrating that Flynn was crazy. But in fact it reveals another, real reason (rather than the fake news reasons) that the British and their assets in the U.S. were so desperate to get rid of Flynn, on the way to getting rid of Trump.
Flynn was working as an advisor to X-Co Dynamics Inc./Iron Bridge Group, run and advised by former nuclear-navy admirals and other military experts.
“In the summer of 2015, knowledgeable sources tell Newsweek, Flynn flew to Egypt and Israel on behalf of X-Co/Iron Bridge. His mission: to gauge attitudes in Cairo and Jerusalem toward a fantastical plan for a joint U.S.-Russian (and Saudi-financed) program to get control over the Arab world’s rush to acquire nuclear power.” They noted that Egypt and Jordan, lacking oil resources, were anxious to develop nuclear power, and that others were also interested. The proposal was for a “U.S.-Russian partnership to build and operate plants and export the dangerous spent fuel under strict controls. Flynn’s role would be helping X-Co/Iron Bridge design and implement a vast security network for the entire enterprise, according to an internal memo by ACU Strategic Partners, one of the lead companies involved, obtained by Newsweek.”
Not surprisingly, Newsweek reports that “the project faced opposition from the Obama administration,” who wanted nothing to do with Russia. The plan only fell apart when the witch-hunt against Flynn and Trump got rolling.
Newsweek also reports that Flynn, in a January 2016 interview with Al-Jazeera, said that “An entirely new economy is what this region needs, especially for the millions of unemployed young men living under corrupt autocracies and tempted by extremism. You’ve got to give them something else to do. If you don’t, they’re going to turn on their own governments.”
THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER
Helga Zepp-LaRouche Sets the Record Straight on Former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl
June 19 (EIRNS)—The Chairwoman of the Schiller Institute Helga Zepp-LaRouche wrote the following statement for the Strategic Alert Service on June 18, two days after the passing of Helmut Kohl (CDU), who was Chancellor of Germany from 1982-1998—both the last Chancellor of West Germany, and first Chancellor of reunified Germany, after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
“The various assessments of Helmut Kohl as the ‘father of German unity’ and ‘the visionary of a united Europe’ sound more like the PR description of the politically correct reading that Kohl’s contemporaries are supposed to have of that historical period, which coincided with his term in office. What is totally suppressed are the geopolitical operations that targetted Kohl, in particular during the time of German reunification, and that still play out to this day in other forms.
“It is to Kohl’s credit that, with the release of his ‘Ten Point Plan for a Confederation of the two Germanys’ on Nov. 28, 1989, he made a first baby step toward establishing German sovereignty, a step which he had not coordinated with the Allies or with his government coalition partner, then Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher [FDP]. A truthful picture must include the fact that the assassination two days later of Alfred Herrhausen, then-chairman of the Deutsche Bank and a close advisor to Kohl, allegedly by the third generation of the RAF, was meant to immediately contain this impulse to obtain sovereignty.
“What is also omitted in the many comments is Margaret Thatcher’s hate-filled ‘Fourth Reich campaign’ against Kohl, as well as François Mitterrand’s threats of war in the event Kohl were not ready to abandon the deutschemark sovereign currency as the price to pay for reunification, and to accept the constraints of the Maastricht Treaty straitjacket and the euro single currency, as reported by Jacques Attali in his biography of Mitterrand. Kohl later described the European Community Summit in early December 1989 in Strasbourg, during which he faced these attacks, as one of the darkest hours of his life. According to his own statements, it was not until his visit to Dresden on Dec. 19, 1989, when the population was shouting with joy ‘Helmut! Helmut!’ that he realized that the moment for German reunification had come.
“Of course, Helmut Kohl was also a living witness to the promise made by the Americans to Mikhail Gorbachov, as was reported by then-U.S. Ambassador to the Soviet Union Jack Matlock, among others, that NATO would never expand up to Russia’s borders. For Kohl, the Cold War had ended with the breakup of the Soviet Union and it is highly doubtful that he would have agreed with the demonization of Vladimir Putin of the past years. The fact that Mrs. Merkel now considers herself as the proconsul of Barack Obama’s policy of confrontation would probably also not be to his liking.”
China, Brazil Set Up New Investment Fund To ‘Expand Productive Capacity’
June 19 (EIRNS)—Despite the economic and political turbulence wracking Brazil, and the uncertainty over whether President Michel Temer will even remain in office, on May 30, in a ceremony in São Paulo, Brazilian and Chinese officials officially launched the Brazil-China Cooperation Fund for Expansion of Productive Capacity. Discussions on setting up the Fund have been taking place for some time, Xinhua reported.
Stemming from President Xi Jinping’s visit to Brazil in 2015, the $20 billion fund, of which China will provide $15 billion, will consider proposals for investment projects in Brazil in the areas of infrastructure, manufacturing, agro-business and high technology, among others. During the signing ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Li Jinzhang emphasized that Brazil is “a priority country for the Chinese strategy of expanding productive capacity.” The China-Brazil Fund, he said, “offers a guarantee of a financial mechanism to broaden cooperation” and “will create a new model of financial cooperation. Brazil-China ties are currently in a process of transformation,” he underscored.
As follow-up, on June 16 a delegation of 35 Chinese businessmen arrived in Brazil to present investment opportunities and identify priority projects for investment. Ambassador Li emphasized here that the China-Brazil Fund “should serve as a reference point for other Latin American countries … [and provide] a systematic and productive cooperation between the two countries.” Brazil’s interim Planning Minister Esteves Colagno Junior emphasized to Xinhua that China’s presence in Brazil is essential for Brazil to move forward with its economic recovery.
Since the coup that impeached former President Dilma Rousseff last year, Brazil under Temer has been a less-than-enthusiastic member of the BRICS and has said little about the Belt and Road Initiative. During a meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira in Beijing, in the context of the BRICS foreign ministers meeting, Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao suggested that as both China and Brazil are developing countries, they should work to implement the consensus reached by their leaders in terms of development strategies and intensifying practical cooperation. He called on the two nations to cooperate “within the Belt and Road Initiative to deepen their comprehensive strategic association.” China, Li said, hopes that “Brazil will play a positive role in China-Latin American cooperation.”
Panama Enthusiastic over Potential of Relations with China
June 19 (EIRNS)—In remarks to Xinhua, Panama’s Deputy Foreign Minister Luis Miguel Hincapie said that, following its establishment of diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic China, the possibilities for new cooperation with that country are “incalculable.” Panama can become China’s gateway to the rest of Latin America, he said.
Hincapie also stressed that establishing relations with China “was a sovereign decision, taken strategically, which suits us.” A Panamanian ambassador will be sent to Beijing by year’s end, at the latest he reported. A focal point of Sino-Panamanian ties will obviously be the Panama Canal, he told Xinhua, given that Chinese firms are expected to set up operations there in the near future.
Xi Jinping: BRICS Cooperation Will Usher in a ‘New Golden Decade’
June 19 (EIRNS)—Addressing the opening session of the BRICS Foreign Ministers meeting today, host Chinese President Xi Jinping underscored that cooperation among the BRICS nations “is an innovation, which transcends the old pattern of political and military alliances and pursues partnerships rather than alliances.” The BRICS mechanism surpasses “the old mindset of zero-sum game” and instead “practices a new concept of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.” He emphasized that the BRICS cooperation mechanism fits very well the needs of the five member nations, Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. China holds the rotating presidency currently.
The Chinese leader also emphasized that “the BRICS cooperation mechanism has been in existence for ten years and BRICS members have focused on development, which not only benefits the people in the five countries, but also offers a prescription for the world to address food and security problems…. BRICS countries are a community of shared interests and future.” He urged the member-nations to give “full play to the win-win spirit,” and work together to contribute to the organization’s development. He urged them to prioritize development, “follow multilateralism and the basic norms of international relations. As long as we think and work toward the same goal, the BRICS cooperation will be more productive and usher in a new golden decade,” he predicted.
In his remarks at the same meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China “is ready to shoulder the important mission of opening up the second decade of BRICS cooperation. China is ready for discussion on BRICS-Plus cooperation patterns and forms.” Asked about those expressing doubts about the BRICS future, Wang replied, “there are some questioning voices. I think this shows the international community is paying attention to the BRICS. Whether or not the BRICS is fading or not playing an important role, China believes that the important approach is that seeing is believing.” He said that all countries should recognize that the BRICS is making a major contribution to global economic development, and that their economies are showing strong “momentum and vitality.”

Greece Blocks EU’s Anti-China Resolution
June 19 (EIRNS)—For the first time the European Union failed to present a resolution condemning China’s human rights record before the United Nations this year, because Greece exercised its veto power to prevent it from passing by the 28 nation bloc. “We acted from a position of principle,” an official at the Greek Foreign Ministry told Britain’s Guardian. “There is an upcoming dialogue between the EU and China on human rights and we think that could be a more efficient and constructive way of delivering better results.”
Needless to say the veto enraged the European Union fanatics and hypocritical human right organizations. The statement was supposed to have been submitted to the UN’s Human Rights Council in Geneva June 15. Thanks to Greece, the EU failed for the first time to submit the denunciation which it made three times a year.
The EU cynics are saying that Greece exercised its veto because of China’s role in the Piraeus Port and the strategic relationship China enjoys with Greece.
