Lawmakers Responsible For Your Exploding Gas Prices
272 Lawmakers who Voted for the War in Iran.
272 Lawmakers who Voted for the War in Iran.

Next time you pump gas, remember this list.
The Strait of Hormuz is still heavily disrupted (traffic down 90%+ from normal ~130 ships/day to single digits most days). The US naval pressure on Iranian ports continues — and Congress gave it the green light.
In early March 2026, 272 lawmakers voted NAY on the War Powers Resolution that would have forced Trump to pull back unauthorized military action in Iran.
Senate (53 NAYs – March 4 vote 47-53, same pattern in April): Mostly all Republicans + Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA). Only Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) voted to advance the resolution.
House (219 NAYs – March 5 vote 212-219): 215 Republicans + 4 Democrats:
- Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX)
- Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME)
- Rep. Greg Landsman (D-OH)
- Rep. Juan Vargas (D-CA)
(The only two Republicans voting Yea in the House were Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH).)
Full alphabetized list of all 272 is long (available on Senate.gov Vote 46 and House Clerk Roll Call 85), but this bloc effectively gave the administration continued leeway for operations — including the targeted blockade squeezing Iranian oil exports while the strait stays risky and leaky.
Gas prices, shipping insurance, and energy markets feel it. Who’s accountable when the bill comes due?
What do you think — right call or Congress dodging responsibility?
Next time you pump gas remember this list. ✅ Here’s the full combined list of all 272 NAY votes from the most detailed public records (Senate March 4, 2026 Vote 46 and House March 5, 2026 Roll Call 85). I’ve alphabetized the entire list by last name for easy scanning, numbered 1–272.
