We already have a tax on unrealized capital gains -it’s called property tax.

Comment:  100% and this is the tax on the poor and working class.  Taxing people with 100 MILLION in assets is not taxing the Average American.  Tariffs DO hurt the poor.  Wealthy people have Tax Advantages as well as social Advantages & political advantages.  Billionaires, Millionaires, and Trillionaires pay 6% off the top as Kennedy States.   This already is a super low tax rate!  Furthermore the super wealthy (billionaires & trillionaires) enjoy their wealth due to their Unfair Political Access to legislators and Congress people who pass laws as political favors to them.  In the end this law if passed on taxing unrealized gains will go after the approximately $85 trillion the Boomers are sitting on.
