Venezuela Joining BRICS in October; What This Means

Venezuela UN Envoy: We Will Contribute to BRICS with World’s Largest Oil Reserves

Venezuela’s Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations Joaquín Pérez Ayestarán told Sputnik in an interview that Venezuela hopes to be admitted to the BRICS at the Oct. 22-24 summit in Kazan, Russia, and that it can contribute to the emergence of a new system with its world’s largest proven oil reserves, among other ways.

Pérez Ayestarán was reiterating the same message delivered earlier by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. The Maduro government’s commitment to joining the BRICS is a major reason that his government is now being subjected to a regime-change international campaign using charges of corruption in the July 28 presidential elections as a justification.

“We believe Venezuela will be a great addition to BRICS; we have the largest certified reserves of oil in the world that will also add to the basket of products that BRICS as a whole can offer,” Pérez Ayestarán told Sputnik.

“I would hope that in Kazan during the next summit, the decision can be officially announced in a positive manner. It will very much be a welcome development in Venezuela. But if not, we are still there with our offer and our commitment to be an active player in this new world.”

He added: “BRICS is at the forefront of this new multipolar world that has emerged and Venezuela wants to contribute to the consolidation of this new world.”

Comment:  Everyone is sick of CIA meddling in their elections.  I believe it is not long before CIA operatives are jailed.
