The Lead: Israel Orders Evacuation of Southern Gazacredit: getty

Israeli authorities have ordered the evacuation of the population of the southern Gaza Strip.

According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), “on 20 December, the Israeli military designated a new area covering about 20 per cent of central and south of Khan Younis city for immediate evacuation.”

This is an area that people had fled to when the Israeli attacks began, with at least 32 shelters. It is also home to over 100,000 people.

The U.N. will vote today on a humanitarian resolution to facilitate the flow of aid into Gaza. Where will they send it if shelters are evacuated? Where do people go?

The U.N. says that at least 20,000 Palestinians have been killed since the October 7 retaliation by Israel and that “about 70 per cent of those killed are said to be women and children.”

Likewise, at least two Israeli soldiers were killed this week alone and 134 killed since October 7.

The U.S. says that peace negotiations are happening right now in Egypt.

U.S. Media Are Finally Waking Up To The Truth in Ukrainecredit: reuters

The Wall Street Journal is now admitting that Ukraine is forcibly conscripting men into the military to fight against Russia. This is something we’ve been reporting for months but the Western media has been silent about as it has enabled continued support to the war.

Earlier this week the New York Times woke up to this reality too.

The WSJ reports that a man called Dubok in his late 40s went to get a haircut and was thrown into a car to be sent to the military.

“A combination of corruption, exemptions and political caution has protected much of Ukraine’s urban middle class against having to fight in the cold and muddy trenches. On the long front line, a disproportionate share of draftees are middle-aged men like Dubok. Often they are from villages and small towns and were too poor to buy their way out.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the military needs 500,000 more troops. Where will they come from? He didn’t say.

Is this the democracy that the West wants to support? Reminder: They are fighting to regain control of the Donbas region which voted to join Russia and asked Russia to protect them against the continued attacks on those regions which began in 2014. It was never, as the Journal calls it, a “full-blown invasion.”

Still Zelensky refuses any serious peace negotiations with Russia and Zelensky makes less and less sense with every passing day.

Grandma Got Run Over By A Care Giver credit: bloomberg

Try not to kill the grandparents this holiday season. Of course you wouldn’t do that but in Japan, there is a problem with what they call “carer killings.”

This is when someone who cares for an aging person gets tired of it and kills the elderly patient. Researchers say that this happens once every eight days. Even people who don’t kill the elderly person suffer from what they call “caregiver fatigue.”

This is especially serious in Japan where the population continues to age without a robust young population to follow. This is detailed in the important documentary called Birthgap. Researcher Stephen J. Shaw says that some elderly people in Japan are chained to their beds for lack of a family to care for them. With the birthgap spreading across the planet, is this a future all countries will face?

U.K. Clamps Down on Harmful “Gender Transitions” For Children giphy.gifcredit: getty

The United Kingdom has published official guidance for gender questioning children in schools. This is based on the the leadership and months-long research from Parliamentary member Kemi Badenoch.

The guidance advises that” there is no general duty to allow a child to ‘social transition,’” because as Badenoch has repeatedly said“No child is born in the wrong body.” The guidance says that schools should “allow for watchful waiting” to “help ensure unnecessary action is not undertaken.” This is because all academic research on gender dysphoria shows that it is highly likely to be resolved through a normal course of puberty.

The guidance says that parents must be included in all decisions related to gender transition, which has not been normal protocol in recent years of increasing gender transitions.

Badenoch has repeatedly said that government guidance would be evidence based and that the government would not be bullied by advocacy groups. One such group, Stonewall, says that this guidance is not in the “best interest of children” and “not fit for purpose.”

Some high schools in the UK report that this new guidance is a departure from what they’ve been doing and that they don’t normally notify parents about name changes and other identity issues.

The UK Labour Secretary Bridget Phillipson said that this is an important step for teachers and schools that have been asking for guidance on this matter for far too long.

What’s Trending?giphy.gifcredit: peakpk

Alyssa Milano is trending because Shannen Doherty says that Milano got her fired from “Charmed” many years ago.

Ryan Gosling is trending for releasing three new versions of the song “I’m Just Ken.”

Branna Ghey is trending because the transgender teen’s murderers were found guilty in court for the brutal killing. The two teens had befriended Ghey and premeditated and written out the murder plan on lined binder paper. The judge says that she plans to “impose a life sentence.”
