On Vaccines & Your Health

Components of mRNA Technology “Could Lead to Significant Adverse Events in One or More of Our Clinical Trials,” says ModernaBy the Children’s Health Defense TeamA dozen Covid-19 vaccines are undergoing clinical trials and several of the U.S. contenders—Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech and Arcturus Therapeutics—are deploying never-before-approved messenger RNA (mRNA) technology, an experimental approach designed to turn the body’s cells into viral-protein-making factories. This technology relies on a nanoparticle-based “carrier system” containing a synthetic chemical called polyethylene glycol (PEG).A 2016 study found roughly 70% of Americans may already be sensitized to PEG and investigators who once assumed that the polymer was largely “inert” are warning about adverse immune responses that include “probably underdiagnosed” life-threatening anaphylaxis (also called hypersensitivity). FDA approval of an mRNA vaccine for Covid-19 could be potentially disastrous.Moderna documents and publications indicate that the company is well aware of these safety risks but is more concerned with its bottom line.Read More Dr. Fauci’s Double Standards: Polarizing the Nation on HydroxychloroquineBy Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Chairman, Children’s Health DefenseOn one hand, there’s Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). Been in use 60+ years, patent is long expired…pills cost 30 cents and reportedly its relative, chloroquine, is effective in preventing the spread of SARS CoV in cell culture. On the other hand, there’s vaccines (including the Moderna vaccine for which Dr. Fauci’s agency co-owns the patent and has invested $500 million in taxpayer dollars.) Developed at a blistering pace, with limited testing and no manufacturer’s liability.I don’t know if hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is effective against COVID, but it’s disturbing that I, like many other Americans, feel that we won’t learn the truth from Dr. Fauci.Read More Maryland’s $145 Million Cervical Cancer Policy FailBy Josh Mazer, (Originally published in Eye on Annapolis)I have been following Maryland’s HPV vaccine policy very closely since 2018, when our children became eligible to receive Merck’s controversial, liability free HPV vaccine. I was confused by the state-sponsored hard sell put on my family to buy the shot. My concerns about state policies have increased as more recent data has emerged. In 2007 Maryland’s cervical cancer policy changed with HB 1049/SB 774, Task Force on the HPV Vaccine, which made Merck’s Gardasil vaccine the new centerpiece—the proven test and educate strategy was abandoned. Since then, cervical cancer incidence is up 8%.Maryland’s cervical cancer policy has reached a crisis point.Read More The Fix Was In: Latest ACIP Meeting’s Public Comments Featured a Who’s Who Among Vaccine PromotersBy Kari Bundy, CHD Communications AssistantThe Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) held a special (virtual) meeting on Wednesday July 29 to address considerations for a COVID-19 vaccination. Like many parents and concerned citizens, I was interested in hearing ACIP’s discussions on vaccine implementation, but because I have serious concerns about this vaccine, I also attempted to register to comment during the meeting. I ultimately never received an email confirming this and assumed I simply had not been chosen to speak. On Wednesday, as public comment began, I noticed that, one after another, the people who stepped up to speak were enthusiastically pro-vaccine in their statements and in fact spent much of their time complimenting the CDC and the ACIP members in particular for their noble efforts. I began to wonder if the event and it’s chosen “random speakers” had been orchestrated to show the public a one-sided conclusion for mandatory COVID-19 vaccination recommendations.Read More

Study: Coronavirus restrictions killing 10,000 children per month and ‘wasting’ and ‘stunting’ millions more
By Andrew Mark Miller, Washington ExaminerA new study shows that coronavirus restrictions and lockdowns are leading to the deaths 10,000 children per month and stunting the growth of millions more.“It’s been seven months since the first COVID-19 cases were reported, and it is increasingly clear that the repercussions of the pandemic are causing more harm to children than the disease itself,” UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore said. “Household poverty and food insecurity rates have increased.”The study, conducted by researchers at Johns Hopkins University and published in the Lancet medical journal, said that hunger stemming from coronavirus restrictions is causing the deaths of 10,000 children per month and stunting the growth of another 550,000 per month.[CHD Note: This story is in reference to this just-published study in the Lancet: Impacts of COVID-19 on childhood malnutrition and nutrition-related mortality]

Estimated Prevalence of Asthma in US Children With Developmental Disabilities
In this just published cross-sectional study of 71,811 participants, overall asthma prevalence estimates were 10 percentage points higher in children with a disability (approximately 16%) vs children without a disability (approximately 6%). This suggests that asthma screening among patients with disabilities in pediatric health care settings may improve the quality of life and lessen the economic burden among families due to undiagnosed asthma.
