Eighteen Months To Destroy London’s Empire

July 15 (EIRNS)—Prince Charles has given us 18 months to declare his “climate emergency,” and stop using fossil fuels, raising cattle, flying, driving. And the British Empire Royal Family’s admiring intellectuals and billionaires are raising him up small, but growing armies of deluded and brainwashed youth to try to compel us. Even those youth were being told to say “12 years” until the planet is lost—but Prince Charles is upping the “emergency” to 18 months.

Though the British government of Theresa May has obviously been the “inept,” “dysfunctional” one its ambassador in Washington should have been describing, it, and the British royals remain on an all-out drive to cause a major crisis for the Trump Administration. British intelligence has driven hard to get Trump out, or to get his administration back under London control, in the Paris Climate Accord, and against all forms of 21st century progress for nations and populations in the developing sector. As then-President Barack Obama imperiously told young Africans, the Earth won’t tolerate industrial development for you, lest “the planet will boil over.”

Lyndon LaRouche, from the time he wrote There Are No Limits to Growth to destroy the Club of Rome’s “limits to growth” myth in the 1970s, was the leading adversary of the British royals’ “ecological” drive to reduce the world’s population. They hated him for his optimism, his teaching NASA’s mission to the Moon and Mars for decades when American leaders had abandoned it.

President Donald Trump—along with the governments of Russia, India, China and lesser powers all over the world—has rejected this strident claim that human beings are nothing but “climate emergencies.” He has ordered that the United States is going as rapidly as possible back to the Moon in order to develop the bases for travelling to Mars, the Solar System, the galaxy, where is it clear that mankind has no limits, and that individual human beings have no limit but their own creativity. He has encouraged the redevelopment of nuclear power plants as well as fossil fuels, and refused the Paris Accord for the death trap it is.

Therefore we are seeing the British Empire continuously try to provoke Trump’s United States into wars and great-power confrontations, always the surest way for geopolitical London to exercise influence and control. British intelligence launched “Russiagate” to try to make sure no strategic cooperation—including regional war avoidance—was possible between Presidents Trump and Putin. And we document again below, that London has tried over and over, during the entire period since the spring of 2017, to stage “events” which would push Trump into hot war in Southwest Asia.

This campaign of false-flag “attacks” began with “chemical weapons” attacks in 2017, since shown to have been staged by the White Helmets, a British intelligence-initiated and London-funded group claiming to be “responders” to the staged attacks. And it was still continuing last week, with what appeared to be an obviously staged “rescue” by a British warship of a British-flagged tanker “under Iranian attack” in the Gulf. When that failed to provoke American military forces against Iran, the British Foreign Secretary proclaimed that Iran is now just one year away from nuclear bombs.

We are on alert for what the monarchy and its minions will stage next; they are threatening the planet, in fact, with world war if they now succeed in provoking an Iran war.

We also know what to do next: Celebrate Apollo’s 50th anniversary as LaRouche would, by planning mankind’s next 50 years in space. The Schiller Institute holds events around the country this weekend, keyed by a major conference in New York, to do just that. The New York event will be live streamed from the Schiller Institute website at 1 p.m. Eastern on July 20.

In 18 months the United States, India, China, Japan and Russia will all be on, or heading for the Moon, and beyond—and the British Empire must be destroyed.

STRATEGIC WAR DANGER

The British Factor in Provoking U.S. Confrontation in Syria and Iran

July 15 (EIRNS)—One characteristic common to both the U.S. involvement in the Syrian war and the U.S. confrontation with Iran, is the pressure applied by the British government to escalate tensions.

I. Syria Chemical Weapons Hoax

On April 7, 2017, President Trump ordered a series of cruise missile strikes on a Syrian airbase claimed to have been the launching point for a chemical weapons attack allegedly carried out on April 4 in the village of Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib province. The claim of a Syrian chemical bombing was made by the White Helmets, originally a British intelligence creation, with a record of supportive presence at, or participation in, jihadi terrorist acts in Syria. A week earlier, on May 31, then-Secretary of Defense James Mattis had been in London, where he met with then-British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon. Throughout their joint press conference, Mattis toed the British line on Russia as an aggressor state while Fallon called, in effect, for the ouster of Syrian President Bashar al Assad.

On April 11, at the time of a G7 foreign ministers meeting and a phone call between President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May, the Guardian reported, “Whitehall sources say Britain has been instrumental in helping to persuade the U.S. to support the idea that Assad and his family must be removed from power before progress can be made.” Trump and May “agreed that a window of opportunity now exists in which to persuade Russia that its alliance with Assad is no longer in its strategic interest,” a spokeswoman for Downing Street said.

Almost exactly one year later, on April 7, 2018, just as the resistance of the jihadis occupying the Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta was about to collapse, and when President Trump was talking about withdrawing U.S. troops, another alleged chemical weapons attack took place in the Eastern Ghouta town of Douma. One week later, Trump was once again goaded into launching cruise missile and air strikes, which this time saw the involvement of British and French forces as well. According to an April 10 Associated Press report, British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson was agitating heavily to “punish” the Assad government for yet another chemical attack. In a statement after the April 14 strikes, Theresa May issued a statement claiming that British intelligence had determined that Assad was responsible for the chemical attacks, and declared, “This persistent pattern of behavior must be stopped.” Just weeks before, in two reports dated March 13 and March 23, 2018, the executive director of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) had reported to the agency’s executive board that inspectors had found no evidence of banned chemical agents in inspections of Syrian facilities, including those of the Scientific Studies and Research Center, one of the targets of the April 14 strikes.

We now know, from the June 26, 2019 report of the Working Group on Syria, Media and Propaganda, that the investigators only spent a few hours in Douma and interviewed no witnesses, while the bulk of the investigation was devoted to interviewing opposition sources in Turkey. That report also noted biases by certain individuals associated with the investigation, all of whom were British, against any evidence that tended to contradict the official narrative that the Syrian government was responsible for the attack. This included the suppression of an engineering report, leaked in late May, that showed that the gas canisters allegedly used in the attack, were placed at the site manually rather than dropped from aircraft. The Working Group report also documented the explicit role played by the British government in promoting the false chemical weapons narrative.

II. Failed Iran Tanker Provocation

On June 20, 2019, Iranian forces shot down a U.S. RQ-4 reconnaissance drone that they claimed had been flying in Iranian airspace just outside the Strait of Hormuz. That same night, President Trump rejected cruise missile air strikes in retaliation for the shootdown, reportedly just 10 minutes before the strikes were to be launched. On June 24, British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt declared that if the U.S. launched strikes on Iran, British forces would participate. That same day British Foreign Office junior minister Andrew Murrison was in Tehran and said the U.K. believed Iran “almost certainly bears responsibility for the attacks.”

On July 4, Royal Marines seized the Grace 1 supertanker in the waters off Gibraltar, an action which was quickly welcomed by U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton. The Royal Marines—the Royal Navy commandos—claimed that Gibraltar authorities had said the ship was carrying crude oil to Syria in violation of EU sanctions. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the seizure a deliberate British provocation.

On July 9, it emerged that a British tanker, the British Heritageowned by BP, had been on its way to Basra to pick up a million tonnes of crude oil, but that the order was canceled and the ship, still empty, went to waters just off the Saudi port of Dammam. The next day, CNN reported, the tanker “turned off its transponders for almost 24 hours” while travelling through the Strait of Hormuz. A Royal Navy frigate,HMS Montrose, was the only British warship in the Gulf at the time. There are reportedly 15-30 British flagged commercial vessels in the Gulf on any given day. Yet, the solitary Montrose escorted this particular (empty) tanker through the Strait.

On July 11, the British Ministry of Defense claimed that speed boats from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy had targeted the British Heritage—the only British commercial ship in the Gulf with a military escort—as it passed through the Strait of Hormuz. A source in the MOD claimed that the IRGC had intended to divert theBritish Heritage into Iranian waters and seize it in retaliation for the seizure of the Grace 1.

By July 12, it had become clear that this staged “attack” was not going to provoke the United States into an attack on Iran. Hunt then called for “cooler heads” and on July 13 “exited” the original provocation, offering Iran the release of the Grace 1 for a guarantee that its oil would not be delivered to Syria.

Jeremy Hunt Claims Iran Is One Year Away from Getting a Nuclear Bomb

July 15 (EIRNS)—British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt told reporters in Brussels this morning that Iran is one year away from building an atomic bomb.

“Iran is still a good year away from developing a nuclear bomb. There is still some closing, but small, window to keep the deal alive,” he said, referring to the 2015 nuclear deal. An article in the July/August issue of Arms Control Today, the publication of the Arms Control Association, clarifies that Iran is 12 months away from having enough enriched uranium for one bomb; but that, in fact, does not pose an immediate risk that it would build one, contrary to the implication of Hunt’s inflammatory statement.

Hunt was in Brussels for an EU foreign ministers meeting at which the crisis around Iran and its nuclear program was to be the main topic of discussion.

U.S. POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC

Al Gore Reminds Democrats, We Can’t Win, But We Can Destroy

July 15 (EIRNS)—Central to the strategy of the destruction of the United States through the adoption of the anti-technology ideology behind the Green New Deal, has been the mobilization/indoctrination of a generation of youth. Raised by “liberalized” baby-boomer parents lacking a firm foundation for rational thought, these “millennial” children are easy prey for imperial designs. Al Gore has been a leading facilitator.

The year 2006 was a milestone in the climate movement, with the debut of Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth” film. Away from the headlines, that year also saw Gore set up his Generation Investment Management (with David Blood), and, perhaps most significantly, establish the Climate Reality Project. With branches now established in at least eight countries on five continents, Gore’s project was perhaps the original example of “childabuse” by the climatizers. With tens of thousands of “leaders” having passed through its doors since inception, the star graduates of the Climate Reality Project have been the young and innocent.

One such Climate Reality graduate to whom Gore has taken particular liking, is teenager Jamie Margolin, a Seattle native who attended Gore’s school sometime around 2015. With the two of them having posed for numerous Instagram and Twitter postings, Margolin went on to found something she called “This Is Zero Hour” in 2017. In 2018, she was featured in TeenVogue, and Rolling Stone. Margolin and her circle also sued the state of Washington—for ignoring its constitutional responsibility to protect “Life and Liberty” by allowing climate change to allegedly destroy her generation’s future. (The suit failed.)

Margolin is on a par with Sweden’s climate poster-child Greta Thunberg, who, while she seems to have gotten her climatization elsewhere, nonetheless has Gore as a very close shadow. One of Thunberg’s original boosters was Ingmar Rentzhog, who became a Climate Leader through Gore’s schooling. In June 2018, Rentzhog attended a refresher course at a Climate Reality workshop in Berlin, and a month later he and his company were featured on the cover of Swedish Finance Monthly magazine (the month that Thunberg started skipping school). Rentzhog is now on the board of directors of Thunberg’s We Don’t Have Time Foundation, along with another Gore graduate, Stuart Scott.

Thus has presidential loser Gore seeded the climate leadership now oozing to the fore across the world. As the movement has now adopted the stretto of “climate emergency,” so the youth-driven Sunrise Movement has also upped its tempo. Having carried out its own “actions” since the victory of Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez last November, it is one of the leading flanks against the “recalcitrant” leadership.

With the DNC so far refusing to cave on the issue of a “Climate Debate,” the Sunrise Movement has now determined to hold its own tribunal in the streets, when the second Democratic Debate is held in Detroit July 30-31. BuzzFeed is now reporting that Sunrise is “preparing” to send around 1,000 people to Detroit. “The group is pouring resources into leadership and activist training … to build a ‘youth army.’ ” Leading up to this, Margolin’s Zero Hour is hosting a youth climate summit in Miami in mid-July, which will feature “Green Greta” Thunberg.

COLLAPSING WESTERN FINANCIAL SYSTEM

Fed Nominee Shelton Insists British Gold Standard Is ‘New Bretton Woods’

July 15 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump’s new nominee for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Alan Greenspan protégé Judy Shelton, is putting out yet another fake “New Bretton Woods”—in her case, the old British gold standard! That’s right: The British gold standard which FDR’s administration worked throughout the 1930s to help the Ibero-American countries get off, so they could help the United States promote FDR’s Bretton Woods system, is put forward by Shelton as a “new Bretton Woods.” Shelton’s would, instead, be the destruction of what is left of Bretton Woods—the dollar’s reserve status as a potential source of development credit.

Not only is Shelton a former head of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED); she’s the first open British gold standard advocate nominated to the Fed since her mentor, Greenspan. In Cato Institute and Heritage Foundation blog posts, she also advocates the creation of (presumably private) digital currencies to “compete with national currencies.” And, by a recent sudden conversion, she advocates further lowering of interest rates.

In August 2018 Shelton wrote “The Case for a New International Monetary System” for the Spring/Summer issue of Cato Journal on how the United States as the dominant monetary power, unilaterally returning to the gold standard, would create a “new Bretton Woods” and stop “currency manipulation” by other countries (which she did not name). Treading on readers’ ignorance, Shelton calls the original Bretton Woods a return to the gold standard after “competitive devaluations” of the 1930s.

Shelton wrote: “A modern version of this approach—one that permits the issuance of virtual currencies in tandem with government-issued currencies, adapting legal tender laws to permit healthy currency competition—should be put forward.

“The United States is the world’s largest holder of official gold reserves. Comprising 8,311.5 tonnes or 261 million troy ounces, those reserves are carried at a book value of roughly $11 billion. Notably, the market value is significantly higher at $345 billion (based on the London Gold Fixing for Sept. 30, 2016).

“In proposing a new international monetary system linked in some way to gold, America has an opportunity to secure continued prominence in global monetary affairs…. Gold has historically provided a common denominator for measuring value; widely accepted at all income levels of society, it is universally acknowledged as a monetary surrogate with intrinsic value.

“Speaking in February 2017, former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan defined gold as the ‘primary global currency’ and further added, ‘We would never have reached this position of extreme indebtedness were we on the gold standard, because the gold standard is a way of ensuring that fiscal policy never gets out of line.’ To confront U.S. indebtedness, we need to restore fiscal discipline and sound money through gold convertibility.

“We make America great again by making America’s money great again,” she concluded.

President Trump is here bargaining with the British devil to gain support in the Fed for lower interest rates—a policy Shelton just recently adopted in order to get nominated.

THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER

China Leading Global Transportation Investment in Africa

July 15 (EIRNS)—A new report has identified China as the largest non-continental investor in rail and transportation projects in Africa, and shone a light on the potentials of the New Paradigm economy. China now has 21.3% of an investment market now estimated at $430.3 billion. The figures were compiled by Project Insight (a firm which creates business management software), whose authors tracked 448 “large-scale transportation projects” involving road, rail and bridges, across the continent. The authors highlight that both the IMF and Africa Development Bank project—even with existing infrastructure density—forecast continued growth for the region, and state that this growth rate will only increase when these projects are realized.

The executive summary of the 31-page report takes particular note of the Chinese influence throughout the continent. “China has made numerous investments across Africa,” they write “becoming a major financier of key transport projects in the region. At least five African countries have had their railway systems funded by China: Kenya, Ethiopia, Angola, Djibouti and Nigeria.

“Based on the pipeline of projects tracked by the publisher, Chinese contractors are involved in road and railway projects that account for 21.3% of the overall project pipeline value,” followed by France, Turkey and the U.K. (with 3.4%). The leading investors are China Railway Construction Corporation Ltd. with $47.3 billion invested; followed by Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) ($12.18 billion); and China Communications Construction Corporation ($9.4 billion).

Looking at the entire continent, the report states: “When completed in their entirety, the tracked projects will total over 110,000 km in length (54,110 km for roads, 55,345 km for railway and 599 km for bridges) of which 75,297 km will be newly constructed, 29,197 km will be upgraded and 5,561 km will have an element of both construction and upgrade, crisscrossing the African continent.”

SCIENCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE

After Impact Study, Northeast Maglev May Build Critical U.S. Corridor

July 15 (EIRNS)—The Northeast Maglev, the company organizing for the construction of a superconducting magnetic levitation transportation system to operate the 40 miles between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. at speeds in excess of 300 miles per hour—becoming the first commercial maglev system in America—is waiting upon an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which if approved, could assist in producing a positive effect upon the U.S. economy.

A spokesman for Northeast Maglev told EIR on July 10 that it has submitted two possible route alignments, and now the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Rail Administration (FRA) and the Maryland Department of Transportation must complete—and at some point, approve—an EIS that “looks at impacts like transportation effects, air quality, noise and vibration, energy, land use, etc.,” which would ultimately be in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.

The project plans to build a superconducting maglev system that runs between Baltimore and Washington, including an intermediate stop at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, in 15 minutes, as opposed to the travel time of 55 to 90 minutes that an automobile would presently take. Some 30 of the 40-mile maglev route would be constructed underground, utilizing tunnels. A Northeast Maglev official stated a few months ago, that would it would operate seven or eight tunnel-boring machines simultaneously to complete the construction task. The company’s website reports that the construction phase would create 74,000 construction jobs, plus 1,500 jobs annually after opening.

The Northeast Maglev Baltimore to Washington phase is part of a larger route, intended to extend from Washington to New York City.

Central to this is Central Japan Railway, which operates Japan’s maglev test facility, as well as the majority of Japan’s high-speed rail Shinkansen trains. In 1966, two American scientists, James Powell and Gordon Danby, working out of Brookhaven National Labs in Upton, New York, invented superconducting maglev. The system uses superconducting magnets for lift and guidance, and modulated AC current to accelerate and decelerate the propulsion of the maglev vehicle. Following Powell and Danby’s publication of their paper explaining their concept design, teams of Japanese engineers and railroad experts visited America to discuss the designs with them. Based on the Powell-Danby inventions, the Japanese built their first-generation maglev system. Through further improvements, the Japanese L0 series superconducting maglev set a test speed record of 375 mph (603 kph) on April 21, 2015.

The Northeast Maglev will use this superconducting maglev technology, under the direction of Central Japan Railway. JR Central, as the company is known, has promised to assist Northeast Maglev “in securing billions of dollars in low-interest Japanese loans to float as much as half the construction costs,” the Baltimore Sun reported on Oct. 25, 2018. It has also offered to waive licensing fees for the use of its technology. When Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met President Donald Trump on Feb. 10, 2017, Abe told Trump at a White House press conference, “I’m sure you would appreciate the speed, the comfort and safety with the latest maglev technology from Washington, D.C. to New York … [in] only one hour.”

Northeast Maglev also seeks financing from the U.S. government for construction costs currently estimated at between $10-$12 billion. It plans, in tandem with JR Central, to build a maglev system from Washington to New York, and then possibly farther north to Boston. Such a transportation system would produce a productive transformation in the U.S. physical economy.
