Despite the Russiagate Collapse, This Is No Time To Be Complacent. Destroy the British Empire!

March 28 (EIRNS)—In her weekly strategic webcast today, Schiller Institute founder and President Helga Zepp-LaRouche pointed out that while there is reason to breathe a sigh of relief at the collapse of the fraudulent Russiagate investigation, and its failure to find President Donald Trump guilty of collusion with Russia or obstruction of justice, this is not the time to be complacent. Trump had the tenacity and determination to fight back, not to cave in to the British intelligence-run operation against him. As he stated, there are not many leaders who could have withstood what he did, and stressed that no President should ever again have to be subjected to such an attack.

But, Zepp-LaRouche admonished, the reality is that we are still in a “war and a half…. This is a battle which is not yet over, at all” and “as long as the British Empire and this apparatus which went after Trump … is really dismantled, they will find new ways to entrap the whole situation.” One example of this, she warned, is the Venezuelan situation. Trump has said he intends to end permanent warfare in Afghanistan and Syria, “but I think a very weak flank is what is happening around Venezuela.” Vice President Mike Pence, National Security Advisor John Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are behind the push for regime change in Venezuela, Zepp-LaRouche said, “and the danger is that Trump is being pulled into this.”

Look at what happened March 27 at the White House, she said, where Pence walked in with the wife of the self-appointed so-called “president” of Venezuela Juan Guaidó, after which Trump met with her, and among other things, said that the Russians, who are currently in Caracas in a long-planned military-technical deployment, “have to get out.”

“This is an extremely dangerous situation,” Zepp-LaRouche said, “and one can only hope that the people who demand that a political solution be found will prevail.” Otherwise it is heading for a geopolitical confrontation, making it impossible for Trump to engage in cooperation with other great powers—exactly the British Empire gameplan. Remember, she pointed out, that “the question of Trump fulfilling the potential of improving relations with Russia and China, this was what the Mueller investigation was all about, this was what the Christopher Steele/British intelligence operation was all about. And I think it is important to keep that up front and make sure that all the documents related to the British role in this scandal be made public.”

There are some extremely optimistic and positive developments taking place in the world right now, Zepp-LaRouche continued, including the “remarkable” trip of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Italy, in which Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte signed a Memorandum of Understanding to join the Belt and Road Initiative, despite enormous pressure from the EU and other Western banking and financial circles not to do so. “This was a big breakthrough,” Zepp-LaRouche emphasized. Even European leaders Emmanuel Macron of France, Germany’s Angela Merkel and Jean-Claude Juncker of the EU have had to recognize the reality that a multipolar world, which includes some kind of alliance with China, is in their best interests. There is no way to ignore the “momentum of the New Silk Road and all the economic opportunities which go along with it,” she said.

Add to this Donald Trump’s March 27 announcement that he intends to revitalize the U.S. space program and return Americans to the Moon by 2024. “This is very good,” Zepp-LaRouche said. It’s “exactly the kind of optimistic future orientation which is needed. And Trump also mentioned that the United States will do that with international partners.” International cooperation is also needed to defend the Earth, Zepp-LaRouche said, recalling her husband’s own proposals for international cooperation on the defense of the planet against “asteroids, comets and other dangers coming from outer space,” and that “we devote our energies to the common aims of mankind.”

These developments notwithstanding, Zepp-LaRouche underscored, people must understand that what is at stake right now is the issue of war or peace. Lyndon LaRouche was unjustly prosecuted by the very same apparatus that has hounded Donald Trump for the past two years, and “if the people who conducted this operation against him [LaRouche] and then against Trump, remain in place, even if you defeat one aspect of their scenario … I think, you will see, as you see in the Venezuela situation, they will try to come up again and again with new aspects … the Venezuela escalation, I would say, is the continuation of the coup against Trump” under a different guise.

Moreover, “If you understand that the aim is to prevent Trump from having collaboration and good relations with Russia and China, and that the Venezuela crisis could immediately be another such crisis-point…then you understand that these forces must be overcome and be replaced by a policy of cooperation for a New Paradigm among all nations on this planet, if we don’t want to destroy each other.”

More than anyone in recent history, Zepp-LaRouche said, Lyndon LaRouche’s name “stands for the New Paradigm … and therefore, anybody who wants to do something to maintain peace” should act immediately: Sign the petition on the Schiller Institute website, appealing to Trump to exonerate Lyndon LaRouche, and “spread this message as far as possible … get more people to sign this petition for the exoneration…. We plan to absolutely escalate this campaign until we have succeeded, and the name of my husband is absolutely cleared, because this is a precondition so that people can really study the absolutely beautiful ideas he has produced, and which was the reason why he was attacked so massively.” Become active with the Schiller Institute, Zepp-LaRouche said, as this is “one of the most important moments in history.”

Trump Plans ‘Fresh Start’ and To Release All the Relevant Russiagate Documents

March 28 (EIRNS)—Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said yesterday that President Donald Trump met with him and other Republican Senators in the Capitol and told him, “I’ve got this behind me.  It’s a fresh start.  Let’s see what we can do.”

Then, in a wide-ranging phone interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity last night, President Trump announced that he plans to release all the relevant documents—the FISA Court applications, the FBI interviews known as 302s, and more.  “I have plans to declassify and release. I have plans to absolutely release,” Trump said. “I have some very talented people working for me, lawyers, and they really didn’t want me to do it early on. … We got a great result without having to do it, but we will. … Frankly, I thought it would be better if we held it to the end. But at the right time, we will be absolutely releasing.”

Other relevant comments:

“We must never let this happen to another President. I hope they don’t get away with it. People were hurt so badly, their lives ruined. It’s an investigation that should never have happened. There was no crime—there shouldn’t be an investigation when there is no crime.”

On former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, he said it is too bad that the statute of limitations has run out on Clapper’s blatant lying to the Congress on the National Security Agency spying on all Americans (Edward Snowden revelations had also proven Clapper’s statement to be a lie), but it was still possible to prosecute Brennan. “I think Brennan’s a sick person, I really do. I believe there’s something wrong with him, for him to come out of the CIA and act that way was so disrespectful to the country and to the CIA. He was not considered good at what he did. He was never a respected guy.”

On the FBI spying on his campaign: “When I said there could be somebody spying on my campaign, it went wild out there. They couldn’t believe I could say such a thing. As it turned out, that was small potatoes compared to what went on. … Millions and millions on the phony dossier, and then they used the dossier to start things.”

On investigating the crimes committed in the Russiagate investigation: “We’ll have to see how it all started, but I’m going to leave that to other people, including the Attorney General and others … to make that determination. Fifty years, a hundred years from now—if someone tries the same thing, they have to know the penalty will be very, very great if and when they get caught.”

On FBI agent Peter Strzok and attorney Lisa Page: “It was treason, it was really treason,” referring to their hatred and effort to oust him. “You had dirty cops, you had people who are bad FBI folks. … At the top, they were not clean, to put it mildly…. We can never allow these treasonous acts to happen to another President.”

On Special Counsel Robert Mueller: “The Mueller team was totally biased.”

On Russia and China, he said that no one was tougher on Russia than he was, but that nonetheless the U.S. should have a “great relationship with Russia and China,” but that the “fake news” and “nonsense” turned it into Russiagate. His description of how he was tough on Russia was interesting: He allowed the development of gas and oil in the U.S., so that we have leverage to compete with Russia in that sector. He pointed out that had Hillary Clinton won the election, “our military would have been powered by wind, which doesn’t work. We wouldn’t have been allowed to drill.” He added, “we’re going to make a very good deal with China.”

For readers of EIR, the major implications are these: The British Empire apparatus must be crushed. Equally important, in this “fresh start” for the Trump Presidency after the defeat of the Russiagate coup attempt—Lyndon LaRouche’s programs must be brought into play to make President Trump’s economic promises become reality.  That’s the only way it can be done, and it must begin now!

The full 44-minute interview on the “Hannity” broadcast is posted on Fox News’ YouTube channel.

House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff Should Resign from Congress, Tweets President

March 28 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump tweeted today, “Congressman Adam Schiff, who spent two years knowingly and unlawfully lying and leaking, should be forced to resign from Congress!”

When Schiff, the California Democrat, convened his House Intelligence Committee today, all nine Republican members presented him with a letter demanding his resignation as Chairman. After detailing Schiff’s two years as a committee member of public peddling of Russia-collusion misinformation from supposedly secret intelligence sources, the letter stated that the Intelligence Committee is the only committee which has the duty for oversight over the intelligence community. Thus, “your actions both past and present are incompatible with your duty as Chairman of this Committee. We have no faith in your ability to discharge your duties in a manner consistent with your Constitutional responsibility and urge your immediate resignation as Chairman of this Committee.”

Damningly, Schiff responded by continuing to peddle disinformation on “collusion with Russia,” saying the evidence was “in plain sight.”

Sen. Rand Paul and Rep. Peter King Implicate Former CIA Director Brennan

Mar. 28 (EIRNS)—While President Donald Trump directly accused former CIA Director John Brennan of lying to Congress last night, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) this afternoon tweeted: “BREAKING: A high-level source tells me it was Brennan who insisted that the unverified and fake Steele dossier be included in the Intelligence Report [a classified January 2017 report on alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections]… Brennan should be asked to testify under oath in Congress ASAP.”

If this is true, then in this way Brennan helped to build the false credibility of British MI6 agent Christopher Steele’s report and lead ultimately to its publication.

Senator Paul’s tweet takes on more importance in light of the British Guardian’s coverage that then-British intelligence GCHQ head Robert Hannigan approached Brennan as early as 2015 to investigate supposed intercepted communications between the Russian government and the Trump Campaign. If true, then this was one of the routes of importation of this actually-British information warfare campaign into the U.S., through Brennan.

Fox News quotes a tweet by Rep. Peter King (R-NY) that Brennan’s with false charges of “treason, collusion, etc.” against the President, were “Disgraceful!”

Steve Bannon Launches His Fake ‘Sovereignist’ Operation Courtesy of British Empire

March 28 (EIRNS)—Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon’s attempt to hijack the European populist movement is a British operation. Bannon gave a two-hour press conference in Rome, hosted by the Association of Foreign Press, Sputnik Italia reports. Bannon teased the Lega and said Europe and Russia must come closer—and away from China.

Bannon advertised his school of populism, which is going to start in Italy at an institute run by Benjamin Harnwell, a member of the U.K. Conservative Party who “identifies himself philosophically as an Austro-libertarian, co-founding (with Vincent de Roeck) the European Parliament’s Mises Circle, which exists to promote greater recognition of the Austrian School of Economics; he also co-founded the international Right Approach Group (with Austrian School devotee Patrick Barron), to explore free-market solutions to contemporary problems,” according to his autobiography with the Dignitatis Humanae Institute.

Before becoming head of the Dignitatis Humanae Institute, Harnwell has served for five years as chief of staff for MEP Nirj Deva (UK-Tory). Deva has large properties in Sri Lanka and he himself is on the board of many corporations, notably Symphony Environmental Technologies, which specializes in biodegradable plastic.

As chief of staff for Deva, Harnwell founded the European Parliament Working Group on Human Dignity together with Gay Mitchell MEP. Harnwell became a Catholic in 2004.

Lega Foreign Policy Spokesman MEP Zanni Explains Italy Will Bring China and U.S. Together

March 28 (EIRNS)—European Parliament Member Marco Zanni (Italy-Lega), known for his fight for Glass-Steagall and his collaboration with the LaRouche movement, was appointed Lega Foreign Policy spokesman in the EU Parliament March 11.

In an interview with online journal Affaritaliani.it March 15, Zanni explained that Italy wants to bring the U.S. and China closer on the Belt and Road (in Italy referred to as the “New Silk Road”).

The agreement with China does not threaten Italy’s historical alliances, Zanni says. “Our historical ally is Washington. The Agreement with China could rather make us the connection between the U.S.A., Europe and the Asian world. It is a difficult path but we are convinced we can accomplish it.”

If conditions set forth by Rome are fulfilled, Zanni says, “Italy has an opportunity economically but also geopolitically. We are witnessing a big leadership crisis in Europe, which opens a political and geopolitical room in the relationship with the U.S.A. After Brexit and Donald Trump, Italy with its green-yellow government experiment can insert itself in this area of change and, thanks to its position, can become the privileged interlocutor of Washington in Europe, at the same time establishing itself as interconnection with Asian economies.

“The lack of infrastructure investments in Europe can be a stimulus for the U.S.A. to even more strongly criticize EU socio-economic policies. If many states today go outside of Europe to find money for infrastructure, it is because Europe has not favored autochthonous investments because of its self-destructive policies. The level of European infrastructure is ridiculous. The discussion about the BRI can be an additional stimulus for the U.S.A. and Europe to change their attitude toward infrastructure investment policies.”

Zanni’s first task as new Foreign Policy spokesman of the Lega in the European Parliament will be to build a multinational coalition that could become the largest political group or faction in the European Parliament for the May elections, as he explained in an interview with ADN-Kronos March 24. The group could be called “Alliance of European Peoples and Nations.” As Zanni explained, “Along with the word ‘nation,’ we want to keep the word ‘Europe’ alive, because we are for a radical change, certainly not for destruction.”

“In fact, we want a new Europe that coordinates nations with equal rights, with their sovereignty and their peoples,” because “so-called European sovereignty is a chimera that only Prodi, Monti, and Draghi want. Supremacy of national Constitutions on the Treaties is a fundamental point.” Romano Prodi, Mario Monti and Mario Draghi were all recent Prime Ministers, and Draghi is now European Central Bank President.

As a first step, Zanni explained, Lega head Matteo Salvini will hold a press conference in Rome or Milan where, flanked by some representatives of sovereignist and identity parties, he will launch a “Manifesto for Europe.” Salvini’s leadership, he said, “is international. He is the symbol in Europe for the change everybody is waiting for.”

Luxembourg Follows Italy To Join China’s Belt and Road Initiative

March 28 (EIRNS)—Despite criticism heaped on Italy by the European Union last week for joining China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel signed an agreement with China on March 27 to also cooperate on the BRI, Bloomberg reported.

Last year, the Bank of China listed €700 million in bonds in Luxembourg as part of the BRI. And in 2018, Finance Minister Pierre Gramegna said that the Chinese authorities clearly view Luxembourg as the ideal base for Chinese banks to develop in the European Union. “The signing of this agreement represents a new stage in the development of Sino-Luxembourg relations and our cooperation in economic, commercial, academic and cultural activities, as well as research and development,” the prime minister said today, reported Delano, a Luxembourg magazine, on its news page.

Bettel was in China to attend the Boao Forum for Asia, which is styled on the Davos World Economic Forum and takes place on Hainan Island. “The presence of a Luxembourg delegation at the Boao Forum for Asia is testament to the quality of our ties,” Bettel said. The aim of our participation in the forum is to deepen them, especially in the economic, finance and logistics fields, Bettel said, Delano reported.

Northern Ireland Democratic Unionist Party Will Not Back May’s Brexit Deal

March 28 (EIRNS)—While British Prime Minister Theresa May might be able to “whip” her Conservative Party to back her Brexit deal by promising to resign, now Northern Ireland’s Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), whose votes would be necessary to get a majority, said they would not back her deal. “Given the fact that the necessary changes we seek to the backstop have not been secured between the government and the European Union, and the remaining and ongoing strategic risk that Northern Ireland would be trapped in backstop arrangements at the end of the implementation period, we will not be supporting the government if they table a fresh meaningful vote,” the DUP said in statement late on March 27, according to Sputnik.

The DUP statement expresses, “The backstop if operational has the potential to create an internal trade border within the United Kingdom and would cut us off from our main internal market, being Great Britain.” The DUP’s statement has provoked speculations on whether the party would abstain from the vote.

It was announced today that the government would submit “something” to Parliament for a vote on March 29. The something cannot be the Brexit deal that was already voted down twice, and which prompted the Speaker of the House to declare it cannot be presented to Parliament a third time for a “meaningful” vote, unless it has some meaningful changes. The government has said it will submit something that conforms to the Speaker’s demands.

Former Ukrainian Intelligence Officer’s Explosive Revelations of Neo-Nazis in Kiev Regime

March 28 (EIRNS)—On March 25, a former officer of the Ukrainian security service, the SBU, by the name of Vasily Prozorov, held a potentially explosive press conference in Moscow exposing not only the spread of Nazi ideology throughout the Ukrainian armed forces, but also on secret prisons run by the Azov Battalion in the Mariupol region, and the Kiev regime’s role in the July 2014 downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 over the Donbas region. Aside from TASS, the only extensive coverage of Prozorov’s remarks, so far, has been in Mintpress News, which report concludes that there is no reason at all to doubt anything that Prozorov said because it’s all coherent with publicly available evidence.

Prozoro—who stressed that after working for the SBU from 1999 until 2018 is seeking asylum in Russia, but has not defected—reported that soon after the February 2014 coup in Kiev, the new regime had begun planning combat operations in the Donbas region even before fighting broke out, and that the government had requested plans that would result in mass civilian deaths among ethnic Russian populations, who were to be labeled as “accomplices to terrorists.”

With regard to MH17, he called the Kiev regime an “accomplice” to that disaster, when the commercial jet, flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. “The amazingly prompt reaction of the Ukrainian leadership was the first thing that made me feel suspicious,” he said. “My unequivocal opinion was President Petro Poroshenko and his press service had prior knowledge of the affair. Secondly, hostilities had been underway for several months by then, but the airspace over the area was not closed.” Prozorov reported that when he attempted to learn more about what happened, he was told not to poke his nose into it if he didn’t wish to have problems.

Mintpress author Whitney Webb then goes into why Prozorov’s allegations should not be dismissed, the primary reason being that they’re coherent with available independent reporting dating back to 2014. It cites several examples of reporting on the secret prisons, including a UN attempt to investigate reports of torture in the secret prisons and the reporting by the late investigative journalist, founder ofConsortiumNews, Robert Parry describing how the official investigation into the MH17 disaster was almost completely dependent on the SBU.

“Thus, while Prozorov’s testimony will likely be dismissed by mainstream Western media outlets and Western governments that support Kiev, there is plenty of evidence suggesting that many of his claims—including his most shocking—deserve careful consideration, not outright dismissal,” Mintpress concludes.

There is also an additional TASS report which details Prozorov’s allegations about the involvement of U.S. and U.K. secret services in support of the Kiev regime. “I do not know for what motives. I believe this is for not only security but also conspiracy reasons, because CIA employees have been present in Kiev since 2014. They are residing in clandestine apartments and suburban houses,” he said. “However, they frequently come to the SBU’s central office for holding, for example, specific meetings or plotting secret operations,” he said.

France and China Plan To Cooperate in Nuclear Fuel Reprocessing

March 28 (EIRNS)—During his visit to France and his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, China’s President Xi Jinping discussed collaborating in building a nuclear fuel reprocessing plant in China, World Nuclear News reported. One of China’s newest nuclear reactors, Taishan 1, was also a French project.

Having begun 28 years ago, in 1991, as a collaborative project with France, China’s Daya Bay nuclear power plants have produced their first fuel which is now suitable for processing. A reprocessing plant built over the next few years would therefore have a ready program of work with sufficient time to service spent fuel from the country’s 46 newer reactors as well as the 11 currently under construction.

President Macron said the dynamic of the reprocessing project had accelerated in recent weeks. “We came to a moment of agreement on this point. We agreed to redouble our efforts for trade negotiations; the signing of the intergovernmental agreement can be completed promptly,” Macron said, WNN reported.

Originally commissioned in 1966 for military nuclear applications for the production of plutonium for the French nuclear program, France’s La Hague plant began reprocessing spent nuclear fuels in 1976. The La Hague plant reprocesses and recycles by separating out plutonium and uranium from spent nuclear fuel rods. The La Hague project became the centerpiece of French nuclear reprocessing and recycling. The facility processes not only French domestic nuclear waste, but it also processes much of the nuclear waste from the neighboring countries.
