The covert war inside Iran continues. The latest episode occurred on Saturday when a military parade in Ahvaz was attacked by gunmen, later said to be Islamic State terrorists. 29 people were killed, including women and children.
I’m not buying the Islamic State angle, and neither are the Iranians. Iranian officials accused “a foreign regime” backed by the United States of staging the slaughter. They didn’t say whom they thought this foreign regime is, but it doesn’t take rocket science to figure who is more than likely responsible—the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.
The Islamic State is simply a convenient scapegoat. The real culprit is the Mojahedin-e Khalq, aka MEK, the neocon funded terror group that wants to get rid of the mullahs and replace them with its cult leaders, namely Maryam Rajav and her associates, otherwise known as the personality cult of Rajavi. This cult is a syncretic blend of Islam and Marxism, as improbable as that may seem.
Neocons love MEK terrorists despite the fact they have killed Americans. John Bolton, the president of American foreign policy, said a few months ago the US should bomb Iran into submission (no doubt the mullahs will receive the Gaddafi treatment) and place MEK in power. He promised to make this so by 2019.
It is entirely possible the Islamic State are responsible for killing men, women, and children during the military parade in Ahvaz, although they have nothing to gain beyond killing more Shi’a Muslims.
It is now common knowledge the US and Saudi Arabia have armed the Islamic State with sophisticated weapons. Conflict Armament Research, a UK-based independent weapons research organization, discovered “as early as 2013 to 2014 much of the Islamic State’s advanced weapons systems as well as small arms were clearly sourced to the United States and the West,” writes Zero Hedge.
This was eventually admitted by the corporate media, years after the fact.
Even though it’s now suddenly acceptable and fashionable to admit – as does one recent BBC headline (“The Jihadis You Pay For”) – that the US and Saudi covert program in Syria fuelled the rise of ISIS and various other al-Qaeda linked terror groups, it must be remembered that only a short time ago the mainstream media openly mocked analysts and writers who dared make the connection between the West’s massive covert Syrian rebel aid programs and the al-Qaeda insurgents who so clearly benefited.
It isn’t a whacky conspiracy theory to believe the CIA and the Pentagon manufacture terror groups from whole cloth. There is a documented history of this, beginning in Afghanistan in the 1980s (and before this in Iran when Kermit Roosevelt and the CIA organized “opposition” groups as part of a successful effort to overthrow the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953).
The United States is, either directly or indirectly, responsible for terror attacks inside Iran and also stirring up trouble in its Arab and Sunni communities.
But you won’t read this in The New York Times.
Well, you might in four or five years, after Iran is bombed flat, millions are killed, and the cult leader-terrorist Maryam Rajav sits on the throne.
