This year, Walmart got a $2 billion federal corporate tax cut, yet continues to exploit state tax loopholes and drain taxpayer-funded police resources.
On Tax Day, we hosted a press conference with Wisconsin state legislators who are working to close the dark store property tax loophole in Wisconsin so Walmart and other big box retailers won’t shift their tax burdens onto Wisconsin homeowners.

This newly-formed Walmart Tax Watchdog group, announced the results of a 200+ resident survey yesterday that asked Raytown residents who they think should be paying for the excessive police calls: Raytown taxpayers or Walmart… I bet you can guess the results, but just in case, here they are:
So, even though Tax Day is over, and Walmart has saved billions yet again, Making Change at Walmart and our local communities will remain committed to exposing Walmart for its bad community practices and taxpayer burdens.
Fighting for a better future,
