A pair of men involved in a dogfighting ring sliced off an innocent puppy’s ears as punishment for losing a fight. The two then posed gleefully for selfies, holding up the dog’s severed ears as “trophies.” For this horrendous animal cruelty, these men have been ordered to pay a measly fine of 4,404 Turkish Lira — about $1,200.

This is unacceptable. Dogfighting is a cruel, bloodthirsty excuse for a sport, and these men deserve jail time, not just a meager fine.
