Though there are many different diet and health philosophies in our society, nearly everyone can agree that the habitual intake of modified and denatured foods can eventually lead to a loss in health and vitality.

Highly processed foods are being linked to more and more health problems, but if one were suspicious, one might wonder… if there were really evil people in the world, might they use this knowledge to their advantage?

The first curse on mankind was imposed because of an apple, and for all that happened to Herman Rosenblat in his 85 years — the horrors inflicted in Nazi concentration camps, the gunshot wound he suffered when his Brooklyn television repair shop was robbed, the global fame bestowed by two appearances on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” — it is an apple for which he will be most remembered. That first bite of the fruit was built on a lie.

Mr. Rosenblat, who died on Feb. 5 at a hospital in Aventura, Fla., wrote a moving but largely unexceptional Holocaust memoir in 1993.

What distinguished it was one scene: a momentary encounter in a snow-dappled field in Germany between a starving teenage inmate at Schlieben, a subcamp of Buchenwald, and a young girl watching him from the other side of a barbed wire fence.

An underage child cannot consent to be sexually abused. However, the Catholic Church and the government are claiming this as a defense.

A scathing report from Victim Support, a charity dedicated to helping victims of sexual abuse, has shed light on the Catholic Church and the government working to avoid paying compensation to child victims of sex abuse.

The government agency, Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme, and the Catholic Church are actively attempting to deny financial settlements against them, saying the victims have “consented” to the abuse by government agents and clergy — even if they were too young to legally do so.
