NASHVILLE, Tennessee (LifeSiteNews) — Rapper and billionaire Kanye West plans to buy alternative social media platform Parler, the company announced today.
“Parlement Technologies announced today that it has entered into an agreement in principle to sell Parler, the world’s pioneering uncancelable free speech platform, to Ye (formerly known as Kanye West),” a news release stated. “Ye has become the richest Black man in history through music and apparel and is taking a bold stance against his recent censorship from Big Tech, using his far-reaching talents to further lead the fight to create a truly non-cancelable environment.”
“In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” the rapper said in the statement.

“This deal will change the world, and change the way the world thinks about free speech. Ye is making a groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again,” CEO George Farmer stated.
“Once again, Ye proves that he is one step ahead of the legacy media narrative. Parlement will be honored to help him achieve his goals.”
West has gained prominence among conservatives for sharing his political beliefs, including opposition to abortion. He also has expressed support for the beliefs of Daily Wire commentator Candace Owens, a black conservative who has been critical of Black Lives Matter and liberal racial politics. Owens and Farmer, the Parler CEO, are married and have two children together.
West has also made comments seen by some as antisemitic and famously claimed in 2005 during a Hurricane Katrina fundraiser that “[former president] George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
The news comes at the same time Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Twitter come closer to a deal on the purchase of the Big Tech company. Many conservatives see hope that Musk will restore free expression to the platform
