Mastery of LaRouche’s Method Required To Organize the Forces for Victory

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—A speech prepared for delivery on May 26, 2000, by statesman Lyndon LaRouche, entitled, “On the Subject of Strategic Method” (EIR, June 2, 2000) describes a method of thinking whose mastery is crucial if we are to emerge victoriously from the current political and economic mess in the United States, in which victory is also critical for the entire world. It is grounded in the method of scientific hypothesis coupled with an analysis of the cultural and economic dynamics which actually determine substantive change.

LaRouche states, “determining factor … is the human will, in choosing, or failing to choose, appropriate kinds of voluntary, critical changes in policy, which shapes the future of nations, and of mankind as a whole. These are the decisions which have relatively decisive impact on the course of events, especially under crisis-wracked conditions similar to those prevailing, world-wide, today.” He pointed to a set of such decisions, ones which were truly evil, to demonstrate what he meant about critical decisions which have profound impacts even for generations. Those decisions were from 1975-76 by the New York Council on Foreign Relations and Trilateral Commission, known as the “1980s Project” which laid the basis for the destruction of the physical economy of the United States, its conversion into a consumer-driven post-industrial society, and, in the final iteration of that policy, something we are still experiencing today, the hoped-for triumph of globalization and abandonment of sovereign national government in favor of the type of bankers’ dictatorship proposed on Aug. 23, 2019 by Bank of England Governor Mark Carney at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. And, that plan for a bankers’ dictatorship has taken a significant step forward with the announcement that billionaire Michael Bloomberg is entering the Democratic primaries in Alabama without “having decided” yet that he is running for President.

President Donald Trump interrupted the long-term march which these fellows set into motion back then, a march toward complete abandonment of our Founders’ grand experiment in that sovereign republic known as the United States. LaRouche says: “The method of that usual gang of Wall Street bankers and law-firms was wrong, even evil, but these fellows had, at least, a vision of a succession of culturally motivated changes in the nature of U.S. and world society, which they intended to induce over a period of decades ahead.” They succeeded because citizens were preoccupied about immediate events, in a self-limited fashion, and refused to stretch their minds and vision to what future they sought to create, 50 years ahead. That smallness allowed evil to triumph.

LaRouche then asks how we can foresee and operate to influence the cultural paradigms which will in turn decide the way in which populations and other policymakers will respond to the global financial and political-economic crisis shock of the kind now rapidly approaching? And, he says, there’s really only one time when you can dramatically change things, and that is when the shock of events causes people to examine their mind-sets, the pre-existing axioms and postulates by which they order their opinions.

That is exactly the situation today as a provoked and receptive population searches for solutions to what they see occurring around them. From a strategic standpoint, as LaRouche elaborated, the only true way to eliminate the forces behind the coup against this President, is by kicking over the entire chessboard, by aligning with Russia, China, and India to create treaties, centered on a new, fixed-exchange-rate monetary system, issuing credit only for economic development and advanced scientific explorations of discovery which advance the productive capacities of all of humanity.

LaRouche points to several determinative cultural shocks which led to the decline of the United States under Barack Obama and which the Democrats now describe as “normal times.” Among them, the use of nuclear terror to create a demand for world government, as envisioned by Bertrand Russell and other spokesmen for the British oligarchy, and paraded under the names of “globalization” and “the rule of law.” There was the introduction of the rock-drug-sex counterculture in the wake of President John Kennedy’s assassination; the effort to halt technological progress through environmentalism, and the dismantling of key initiatives for NASA; the eradication of classical educational training in schools; the promotion of free trade and treaties such as NAFTA, which decimated the U.S. workforce and abandoned any protections of U.S. industries.

This decadence was described by LaRouche as a “fundamental conflict” in the geometries of axioms and postulates about the nature of human beings. What he called the Romantic view sees men and women as fundamentally evil, as beasts, with feral sensual impulses, unable to think beyond sense-perception in an immediate environment. That view is fundamental to the tolerance of empires in history, and is increasingly dominant in the U.S. today. The contrary, classical mind-set, especially in its Christian manifestation, defines human beings as essentially good, as being above the beasts, as made in the image of the Creator of the universe, and capable of creative change and discovery of the universe’s fundamental laws. That was the mind-set of the Founders which had to be dislodged and destroyed by the fundamental changes mentioned above.

President Trump has taken steps to reverse all of this, some steps strong, some tentative, but he is hampered by the cultural decadence even among his most fervent supporters. What is lacking here is the depth of intelligence and analysis which LaRouche discussed, in which he noted that the biggest problem, is the abandonment of those forms of classical education and classical drama and music which were and are deliberately designed to feed and strengthen the human mind, human creativity, and cause us to step outside our immediate circumstances and master how to change them. Huge audiences chanting “U.S.A.!” over and over again, but who have been denied this remedy, shows we are not educating the generals in depth who can actually win this war for the United States, and ultimately the world. Absent LaRouche’s method, these crowds can and will be manipulated and killed by the ability of our enemy to manipulate them through popular culture and popular opinion.

China-U.S. Collaboration Leads to Fentanyl Trafficking Convictions

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—A Chinese court today handed down tough sentences against nine Chinese members of a fentanyl-trafficking gang, imposing a suspended death sentence on the ring-leader, life sentences for two others, and lesser prison terms for the rest. According to National Public Radio, U.S. authorities have carried out three “major criminal arrests” in New York and Oregon as part of the same case.

Chinese and American officials emphasized in a joint press conference after the sentencing, that this success was the result of the first joint investigation between their countries, and that such cooperation will continue.

“Combatting drug-related crimes is without borders,” said the deputy director of the China National Narcotics Control Commission Yu Haibin. He credited “the timely exchange of information, effective cooperation and mutual respect for the legal system of the other country,” for the operation’s success, China’s Global Times reported.

Austin Moore, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, likewise said that “the success of the joint operation demonstrates that Chinese and American investigators have the capacity to collaborate across international borders,” according to BBC.

From Washington, White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Director Jim Carroll released a statement, calling “the concrete action taken by China … a direct result of President Trump’s strong leadership on this issue…. We look forward to further cooperation to stop the flow of these deadly substances into the United States,” he stated. The ONDCP referenced specific forms of cooperation agreed upon by Carroll and Chinese authorities when they met in September in Beijing.

It is noteworthy that Yu emphasized that since fentanyl cannot be stopped “singlehandedly by any country, China is willing to cooperate with other countries to solve the worldwide problem.” The LaRouche Citizens’ Movement in Mexico has issued a call for China and Mexico to initiate cooperation against fentanyl trafficking, as China and the U.S. are doing, as one of four key measures required to crush the drug cartel apparatus which is killing Mexico.

U.S. and China Have Agreed To Roll Back Tariffs in Phases

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—Today in Beijing, Chinese Commerce Ministry spokesman Gao Feng reported that China and the United States have agreed to remove additional tariffs in phases, once their leaders sign an interim deal towards ending the trade dispute. “In the past two weeks, top negotiators had serious, constructive discussions and agreed to remove the additional tariffs in phases as progress is made on the agreement,” Gao Feng said. “The trade war started with tariffs and should end with the cancellation of tariffs,” said Gao, who stated that phase one of a trade deal must include both countries simultaneously canceling tariffs on each other’s goods.

“If China and the U.S. reach a phase-one deal, both sides should roll back existing additional tariffs in the same proportion simultaneously based on the content of the agreement, which is an important condition for reaching the agreement,” Gao was quoted as saying by Bloomberg.

Bloomberg later reported that a U.S. official who requested anonymity confirmed the Chinese statement from the U.S. side.

Gao said that both sides could decide how much would be scrapped in the first phase based on the content of the agreement. “Economic and trade teams from both sides have been in constant communication. We hope to resolve our issues of core concern in an equal and mutually respectful manner,” he said, reported South China Morning Post.

President Trump Hosts Talks on Ethiopian Dam Dispute, with Ethiopia, Egypt, and Sudan

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump hosted talks at the White House on Nov. 6 over the decades-long regional dispute among Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia regarding the Grand Ethiopia Renaissance Dam (GERD) on the country’s Blue Nile. With Trump as host, the meeting included Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Foreign Ministers Sameh Hassan Shoukry of Egypt, Gedu Andargachew of Ethiopia, and Asma Mohamed Abdalla of Sudan; and World Bank Group President David Malpass. After the White House meeting, the ministers continued discussions with Mnuchin and Malpass. The meeting was an initiative of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who requested that Trump host the negotiations over the dam.

Following the meeting, Trump tweeted: “Just had a meeting with top representatives from Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan to help solve their long-running dispute on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, one of the largest in the world, currently being built. The meeting went well and discussions will continue during the day!”

A joint statement by the ministers read: “The ministers reaffirmed their joint commitment to reach a comprehensive, cooperative, adaptive, sustainable, and mutually-beneficial agreement on the filling and operation of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and to establish a clear process for fulfilling that commitment in accordance with the 2015 Declaration of Principles.” Steven Mnuchin and David Malpass also signed it, Deutsche Welle reported.

The ministers’ statement also affirmed they would continue negotiations in talks to be held in Washington on Dec. 9 and Jan. 13, 2020 with the aim of finding a resolution by Jan. 15, 2020. The Nile provides both water and electricity to the ten countries through which it passes. Sudan and Egypt, the two downstream nations from the Blue Nile in Ethiopia, fear that the project could threaten their water supply. Egypt, which has suffered from a water crisis in recent years, relies on the river for 90% of its drinking water.

The Timing of DOJ Inspector General Report and U.S. Attorney John Durham’s Investigation

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—Joseph diGenova, former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, and Victoria Toensing, former Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division of the Justice Department (DOJ), appeared on Fox News’ Lou Dobbs’ program Nov. 6 to state that the report prepared by the Justice Department’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz is “far worse” for the FBI, DOJ, and others than even they imagined.

The two cited “very reliable sources” who have viewed the draft report. As opposed to the Washington Post’s account of when the Horowitz Report will be released, diGenova explained that the delay is related to coordination with a criminal grand jury now convened and hearing testimony under U.S. Attorney John Durham.

Both predicted that senior levels of the Obama DOJ and FBI will be disbarred and undergo criminal prosecution. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), briefed Nov. 6 by Attorney General Barr on the contents of the Horowitz report, called the findings, “stunning,” and demonstrating that the Justice Department and its processes had gone “completely off the rails” with respect to President Donald Trump. This is the development Congress is literally racing to check or contain by the present impeachment farce, and next week, the Congress promise even more confetti and distraction.

Billionaire Tom Steyer and Barack Obama Fundraising To Impeach Trump

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—Billionaire Tom Steyer and former President Barack Obama are joining forces to stop President Donald Trump’s re-election, freely offering donations to any and all takers, The Hill reports today.

Failing to destroy Trump thus far, Steyer is joining forces with Barack Obama, returning for his first appearance on the campaign trail in the 2020 cycle—to headline a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee in California’s super-rich Silicon Valley on Nov. 21. The fundraiser is expected to raise at least $2 million for the Democratic National Committee, with tickets to the event costing as much as $355,000, Vox news site reported on Oct. 30.

This is the first open-press, political event where Obama will appear since the 2018 midterms.

Steyer has been spending “tens of millions on TV ads and other measures to rally support for the operation to impeach Trump,” Fox News’ Lukas Mikelionis reported back on May 17. Steyer funded an ad titled “Nothing Happened,” using professional actors chiming in, sequentially complaining that “nothing happened” on impeachment. At the time, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told the Washington Post, “I’m not for impeachment,” Fox reported.

In an April 26, 2019 tweet, Trump attacked Steyer: “Weirdo Tom Steyer, who didn’t have the ‘guts’ or money to run for President, is still trying to remain relevant by putting himself on ads begging for impeachment. He doesn’t mention the fact that mine is perhaps the most successful first 2 year presidency in history….”

But the anti-Trumpers had been active, working on Russiagate. On April 27, 2018, Gateway Pundit’s Cristina Laila reported that a group of wealthy donors paid $50 million to fund the Trump-Russia investigation. The group included about a half-dozen wealthy donors from Silicon Valley and New York, according to a footnote in the Russia report, Laila writes, which investigation was conducted by Christopher Steele, Fusion GPS and a former staffer for Sen. Dianne Feinstein named Daniel Jones, Gateway Pundit reports.

Sean Davis wrote on April 27, 2018 in The Federalist, that “The [Congressional] report also revealed that Jones told federal investigators that he had raised $50 million from ‘7 to 10 wealthy donors located primarily in New York and California.’ ”

On Feb. 8, 2019, Stephen Frank, publisher of California Political News and Views, reported that billionaire Steyer told Politico, “There’s a gigantic cost to not listening to your constituents … thumbing your nose at democracy.” Steyer has been targetting committee chairs Richard Neal (D-MA), and others on impeachment, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC), and also planning to single out members of the Ways and Means, Judiciary and Oversight Committees.

Today, The Hill’s John Bowden reported that an aide to Steyer’s on Presidential campaign reportedly offered campaign donations to numerous Iowa politicians in exchange for endorsement of Steyer’s presidential campaign. The overtures were rejected, with one former Democratic Senator, Tom Courtney, complaining that the offer “left a bad taste in my mouth.”

NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER

Greek Foreign Minister Dendias Meets with Lavrov in Moscow

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias was in Moscow on Nov. 6 where he met with his Russian host Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The meeting took place in a “very cordial atmosphere” and turned a new page in Greek-Russian relations, Dendias said during their joint press conference afterward.

“Our bilateral relations are founded on timeless ties of friendship, mutual respect and understanding,” Dendias stated and underlined the significance of the joint Greece-Russia Consultations Program 2020-2022, which the two ministers signed, reported Athens and Macedonian News Agency.

Dendias stated that Greece intends to contribute to the dialogue between the European Union and Russia.

Dendias further said that “given the consistent stance of Greek foreign policy that Russia is part of the European security framework, Greece can prove particularly useful to Russia, if the latter wishes so, in building the necessary understanding, resolving existing differences, comprehending the measures needed towards a normalization where necessary, and in overcoming unpleasant realities by eliminating their causes.”

For his part, Lavrov said that “our relations are defined by a centuries-long history and characterized by mutual liking. 2021 will mark the bicentenary of the Greek War of Independence, which gave rise to the independent Greek state, an event to which our country contributed in every possible way.” The two foreign ministers discussed possible joint events in the context of the upcoming anniversary.” Dendias said that Greece will soon send an invitation to Russian President Vladimir Putin to participate in these events.

Lavrov also conveyed Putin’s invitation to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to attend the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II that will be held in Russia in 2020.

COLLAPSING WESTERN FINANCIAL SYSTEM

British Tory Candidate Dubbed the So-Called Climate Crisis, a ‘Socialist Trojan Horse’

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—Craig Morley, a Conservative Party parliamentary candidate for Britain’s upcoming general elections, has declared that the “dangerous climate change theory relies on shaky evidence,” wrote the Guardian. Morley is a former Foreign Office official who dealt with climate change and energy policy for south China and is running for a marginal Labour Party-held seat in Reading.

In a posting on his official website, he said: “The alarmism and lexicon of emergency used in the current debate has lost sense of reality and proportion. There is no developing catastrophe and no smoking gun. We used to have a science where scientists make a claim or hypothesis, and then tested it against independent data. If they failed, they went back and started again. Today, all that seems to matter is who shouts the loudest.

“Stripped of the theater of hype, cheerleading rent-seekers, alarmist headlines, Extinction Rebellion stunts, climate emergencies and even Greta Thunberg’s lectures, the stark truth is that the modern ‘climate emergency’ movement is about politics and wealth redistribution, not science.

“It is a socialist Trojan horse for delivering failed socialist economic policies through using the emotive lexicon of ‘emergency,’ disaster, and doom-mongering.”

Morley also approves the views of 500 “scientists and professionals” from Clintel, a Dutch anti-climate change thinktank and the U.K.’s similar Global Warming Policy Foundation.

Morley has said: “There is consensus that Earth has warmed. There is no consensus on what will happen in future, or what the impacts will be.”

Morley said: “Tackling climate change is vital but independent experts and even Labour’s own unions say their promises don’t stack up. The GMB [energy union] said ‘wishful thinking doesn’t generate the power we need to heat homes, keep the lights on and the economy functioning.’ ”

By contrast many Tories are doing some serious fudging on the issue, some expressing skepticism and other saying a Conservative government will decarbonize the economy before a Labour Party government could.

Finnish Farmers Protesting against Meat Ban in Universities

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—RT reported yesterday that two cows were seen grazing in Helsinki University on Nov. 5, having been brought there by local farmers in a bid to put a positive outlook on cattle raising, after the university cafeteria pledged to take beef off its menu.

Activists were trying to prove responsible farming is beneficial for the ecosystem. “Today, we brought a few cows here from the center of Finland, and we are here to tell about the importance for agriculture and nature,” one farmer explained. She added that cows play a vital role in the environment because “they eat grass that we, people, can’t eat, so cows are a very important part of the natural cycle of grasslands.”

The UniCafe cafeterias, owned and operated by the Students Union of Helsinki University, announced in mid-October that they were dropping all beef dishes from their menus, starting from February 2020. That includes beef as an ingredient in sandwiches and rolls. They argued that removing beef from the menu would cut the carbon footprint of their meals by 11%, resulting in some 240,000 kg less carbon dioxide annually. The University of Helsinki joins a series of institutions that have announced they are dropping beef in an ostensible attempt to reduce their carbon footprints—including the University of Cambridge and Goldsmith—which is actually an attack on high-grade food for a growing population.

Bolivian Defense Minister Warns Situation May Spin Out of Control, Due to Racist Violence

Nov. 7 (EIRNS)—Bolivian Defense Minister Javier Zavaleta warned last night that the country is one step away from going completely out of control, and will see “dead bodies stack up by the dozens,” El Deber reported. He harshly attacked Luis Camacho, leader of the Pro-Santa Cruz civic committee, for deploying hit squads of armed youth to incite violence in several cities, particularly in the capital of La Paz, where they are attacking police and targetting indigenous organizations and individuals who support President Evo Morales. “What we’re seeing,” he warned, “is a dictatorship of criminals” terrorizing the country and sending innocent people to the hospital.

Camacho charges that the reelection of Morales on Oct. 20 was fraudulent, and has vowed to “paralyze the state,” by shutting down public institutions, borders, and all economic activity until President Morales resigns. Authorities turned Camacho back on Nov. 4, after he flew to La Paz to hand Morales a resignation letter to sign, but he flew in again Nov. 6 and was allowed to stay, with police protection. Camacho announced he would march to the government office to confront Morales, with backing of his violent supporters.

In a speech last night at the government building, Vice President Alvaro García Linera destroyed Camacho’s claim to be fighting for democracy or against fraud. There “are no politics” behind what Camacho is doing, he said. “Politics is not one person, but rather a political project for the country,” he insisted. The ruling MAS party’s project is based on industrialization, health care, education, building infrastructure, etc., he said. What is the opposition program? It’s just “No Evo,” and saying “no” is not an alternative political program. García Linera accused Camacho of unleashing a “wave of fascist violence,” reminiscent of past military coups of the 1950s.

And fascist it is. In Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, and La Paz various civic committees have deployed violent “resistance” gangs on motorcycles, armed with bats, rocks and homemade explosives to terrorize, Nazi-style, particularly Morales’s indigenous supporters whom they call “shit Indians.” On Nov. 6, in the municipality of Vinto, outside Cochabamba, one of these gangs kidnapped the indigenous mayor, cut off all her hair, spray painted her red, and burned down her office. These gangs also attack women and their children, who wear traditional Indian garb, forcing them to get down on their knees to “beg forgiveness” of these white aggressors.
