Tim Canova, the Sanders-endorsed primary challenger to former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has filed a Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint against her over details found in the Wikileaks DNC email dump.

“It is now clear that our opponent, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, improperly and illegally abused her position at the Democratic National Committee to coordinate against our campaign,” Canova wrote in an email to supporters on Monday.

The complaint alleges that “the DNC paid a team of national, senior communications and political professionals significant sums of money for their consulting services and the Wasserman Schultz for Congress Campaign utilized these services free of charge.”

In his email to supporters, Canova asserts that he learned of his opponent’s abuse of her position through Wikileaks.

“Emails exposed by Wikileaks show that the DNC, under the direction of our opponent, used its considerable resources — which are supposed to help elect Democrats — to track me, interfere with our events, and to assist the Wasserman Schultz campaign in communications strategy,” the email states.

“There are numerous instances revealed in these emails, including an extensive series of messages between Wasserman Schultz, her staff at the DNC, and her campaign staff coordinating their response to Bernie Sanders’ endorsement of our campaign.”

Canova, a law professor, has faced significant hurdles in attempting to challenge Wasserman-Schultz in the Florida primary.

In March, Wasserman Schultz barred her Congressional challenger from using the party’s voter data files — citing a rule implemented in 2010 banning candidates running against incumbents from using the information.

“This policy has been applied uniformly across the board since 2010. We stand with our incumbent members of Congress, and we’re proud of the job they do representing the people of Florida. The Voter File is proprietary software created and owned by the Democratic National Committee that is maintained and operated by the Florida Democratic Party here in state,” party spokesperson Max Steele said of the denial.

Canova did not back down however, and argued that the rules are unfair.

“I said, ‘I completely understand the need to protect incumbents from Republicans,’” Canova said. “But from other Democrats in a primary? Why would the party take a side in that contest?”

A week later, following massive outrage, the decision was overturned by the Florida Democratic Party.

In addition to the attempts to squash his campaign, Wasserman-Schultz has also refused to debate him.

Last week, the disgraced Congresswoman finally agreed to the challenge — yet Canova claims that he still has not heard from her to begin planning the event ahead of the August 30 primary contest.

“I was initially pleased to receive the news that you would debate me. However, it has been four days since you made your “Yes, I will debate my opponent” statement to Anthony Man and Rosemary O’Hara of the Sun Sentinel newspaper and I have still not heard from you or anyone on your campaign about setting a schedule for debates. I understand that at least one local TV reporter called your office last week about scheduling a debate, and that he has still received no response,” Canova wrote in an open letter on Medium.

Tens of thousands of voters have signed petitions calling for the debate.

“Unfortunately, in the eyes of so many, your decision to continue dodging debates reflects contempt for fair and open elections and for democracy itself,” Canova concluded his letter.

Wasserman-Schultz resigned from her position at the DNC last month, following Wikileaks proving that party officials actively worked to undermine the Sanders campaign. She was immediately hired by Clinton to take over the top role in her campaign, as the honorary chair to all 50 states.

“There’s simply no one better at taking the fight to the Republicans than Debbie,” Clinton said in a statement immediately following Wasserman Schultz’ resignation, “which is why I am glad that she has agreed to serve as honorary chair of my campaign’s 50-state program to gain ground and elect Democrats in every part of the country, and will continue to serve as a surrogate for my campaign nationally, in Florida, and in other key states.”

In a heated interview between Julian Assange and Bill Maher on HBO’s “Real Time,” the WikiLeaks founder called the host out live about his name turning up in the leaked emails — and the shocked Maher seems to have blatantly lied to his viewers in response.

As Maher expressed his extreme indignation over the leak and made false accusations against Assange, the WikiLeaks founder responded by presenting him with hacked content that he was included in.

Maher was demanding that Assange was “working with a bad actor [Russia] to put [his] thumb on the scale [against Hillary Clinton] and basically f— with the one person who stands in the way of us being ruled by Donald Trump,” an accusation that has not been proven.

The host then demanded, “why don’t you hack into Donald Trump’s tax returns?” Which his audience of liberals seemed to enjoy.

Assange responded by joking that they are “working on it,” before busting out a shocking blow to the TV personality.

“Just before I came here we thought we’d do a little search in our files, and I do notice that a William Maher gave a Clinton-affiliated entity a million dollars… now it’s a William Maher in Los Angeles at the time that it came. Perhaps you’d like to comment. Is that you?” Assange asked.

Instead of responding to the question, Maher continued his condescending attitude and stated: “I don’t think you have to look in your files to find that, Julian. I, I, I gave Obama a million dollars. I made it public.”

“The whole point of it was to make it public so people in 2012 would understand that the game had moved to the million-dollar level after our Citizens United ruling,” Maher explained. “I wasn’t trying to hide it. I was trying to publicize it. I don’t know what the point is.”

“Is there another million dollars going to Hillary or equivalent?” Assange repeated.

“Fuck no,” replied Maher. “I can’t give a million dollars anytime someone runs for president.”

Assange did not push the issue, and the pair continued on leaving the subject behind.

However, as The Hill pointed out on Monday, it appears that the HBO satirist lied to his audience.

There are currently three people named William Maher living in Los Angeles, and it is nearly impossible to imagine that two people who share the same name, in the same city, are giving out ultra rare million dollar contributions to Democratic political campaigns. What would be the odds?

“If he blatantly lied to Assange, to his audience, what does that say about his credibility? Part of Maher’s appeal is being brutally candid and authentic in his convictions. He may be inelegant, he may go way over the line (calling Sarah Palin the c-word, for example), but few doubt the sincerity of his principles,” Joe Concha wrote.

Hillary Clinton, who is spending more time wooing Republicans than progressives, is now actively seeking endorsements from Condoleezza Rice, James Baker, George Shultz and the despicable Henry Kissinger.

A source within the Clinton campaign informed Politico that they have sent out letters to the “GOP elders,” who have yet to formally endorse Donald Trump. The source would not elaborate on whether they were seeking a formal endorsement, or if it was more an attempt to persuade them to speak out against Trump.

Clinton has often bragged about her close friendship with Kissinger — a man who has said – “it is an act of insanity and national humiliation to have a law prohibiting the President from ordering assassination.” Kissinger has also said “the illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer.”

“Kissinger is a friend, and I relied on his counsel when I served as secretary of state,” Mrs. Clinton wrote in The Washington Post, in a glowing review of his book “World Order.”

Kissinger is best known for his role in Richard Nixon’s massive bombing campaign of Laos and Cambodia during the Vietnam War — the largest in the history of the world — on mostly civilian targets. During the campaign, 3.7 million tons of bombs were dropped, nearly double what was used in all of Europe and the Pacific during World War II.

“He secretly and illegally devastated villages throughout areas of Cambodia inhabited by a U.S. Embassy-estimated two million people; quadrupled the bombing of Laos and laid waste to the 700-year old civilization on the Plain of Jars; and struck civilian targets throughout North Vietnam – Haiphong harbor, dikes, cities, Bach Mai Hospital – which even Lyndon Johnson had avoided. His aerial slaughter helped kill, wound or make homeless an officially-estimated six million human beings**, mostly civilians who posed no threat whatsoever to U.S. national security and had committed no offense against it,” Fred Branfman wrote for AlterNet.

During the primaries, Clinton was roasted by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders over their relationship.

“In her book and in this last debate, she talked about getting the approval or the support or the mentoring of Henry Kissinger,” the Vermont senator said during PBS’ Democratic presidential debate.

“I happen to believe that Henry Kissinger was one of the most destructive secretaries of State in the modern history of this country,” he continued. “I happen to believe that Henry Kissinger was one of the most destructive secretaries of State in the modern history of this country.”

Clinton then barked back at Sanders, stating, “I know journalists have asked who do you listen to on foreign policy, and we have yet to know who that is.”

“Well, it ain’t Henry Kissinger, that’s for sure,” Sanders responded. Sanders has accused Kissinger of committing one of the worst genocides of all time.

Clinton isn’t attempting to win over Sanders’ supporters though it would seem, and this open embrace of neo conservatives should leave them all considering other options.

In February, historian Greg Grandin wrote about Clinton and Kissinger’s relationship for The Nation.

“Last year, Kissinger, reacting to a question about his role in overthrowing Salvador Allende—the democratically elected president of Chile in 1973—and his illegal, covert bombing of Cambodia—which started in 1969 and continued to 1973—pointed to the Clinton’s bombing in Libya and proposed bombing in Syria. ‘What’s the difference?’ he asked.”

“None, apparently.” Grandin answered.

Tensions are rising as NATO states from all over the world send hundreds of troops to the Russian border in eastern Europe.

Twenty-seven years after the Soviet Union’s collapse, NATO has added 12 new member states (not counting eastern Germany) to its alliance — even though NATO stated in 1990: “The very fact that we are ready not to deploy NATO troops beyond the territory of the Federal Republic gives the Soviet Union firm security guarantees.”

Today we see multiple actions by NATO troops directly at the Russian border while trying desperately to also make the Ukraine a member.

Now, 235 people from Germany, Switzerland and Austria have decided to make a statement against the agressive policy of the NATO states and have joined together for a tour for peace from Berlin to Moscow and back to Berlin.

Starting on August 7th, they will be heading through multiple cities all over eastern Europe. This includes St. Petersburg, Moskow, Kaliningrad, Minsk and many more.

The idea was a spontaneous thought by one of the main initiators, university professor Dr. Rainer Rothfub. Together with a truth rapper named Owe Schattauer and a team, they made this idea possible. On their website druschba.info, people can read details about how to get a visa, while a newsletter informed everyone who had interest about the deadlines and current status of the organization. Furthermore, they started a petition to the German government with the request of stopping all military actions in eastern Europe and to start conversations with Russian officials.

The goal of this citizens´ initiative, is to first and foremost promote the possibility of peace and friendship between the western world, especially Germany and Russia. Furthermore, they see the importance of actually getting to know “the other side” in order to gain a peaceful relationship between the two nations in the future. The clear message of this journey is not only pointing out that war between Russia and Germany must not happen again, but also that it would not have been possible for Germany to reunite, if Russian representatives had not shown the initiative 27 years ago. In the name of the German people, the organization and everybody involved in the trip want to say “thank you” for that peaceful transition towards a reunited Germany. As a present, the organizers of the tour made a painting for Vladimir Putin, to whom they would like to give it in person.

The tour is going to kick off in the afternoon of August 7th after a two hour protest in Berlin with musicians like Kilez More, an Austrian rapper, and speakers like Willy Wimmer, who was a spokesman on military defense from 1985 to 1989 and criticizes the current way of NATO aggression in the east.

There’s no denying the emails Julian Assange has picked up from inside the Democratic Party are real. The emails have exposed Hillary Clinton in a major way – and almost no one is reporting on it.

The WikiLeaks founder has claimed Hillary Clinton and her State Department have been actively arming Islamic jihadists, which includes the Islamic State in Syria — ISIS.

Weapons that Clinton sent to Qatar, ostensibly to give to the “rebels” in Libya eventually made their way to Syria to assist the overthrow of the Assad regime. The “rebels” fighting against Assad were ISIS and al-Qaeda jihadists.

It’s a shipment of weapons that – according to Wikileaks’ Julian Assange – Hillary Clinton was well aware of.

This information is proven by the massive e-mail dump that Wikileaks obtained of Hillary Clinton’s emails. Assange claims that among the 1,700 emails just released, there is proof that – despite what she told Congress – she knew about the flow of weapons from Qatar to Libya and then to Syrian rebels and terrorists.

In Obama’s second term, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton authorized the shipment of American-made arms to Qatar, a country beholden to the Muslim Brotherhood, and friendly to the Libyan rebels, in an effort to topple the Libyan/Gaddafi government, and then ship those arms to Syria in order to fund Al Qaeda, and topple Assad in Syria. Clinton took the lead role in organizing the so-called “Friends of Syria” (aka Al Qaeda/ISIS) to back the CIA-led insurgency for regime change in Syria.

Under oath Hillary Clinton denied she knew about the weapons shipments during public testimony in early 2013 after the Benghazi terrorist attack.

Although Hillary Clinton has repeatedly denied supplying the Islamic State with weapons to while serving as Secretary of State, ISIS fighters have continuously received U.S. armaments. Terrorists recently claimed they “seized” a trove of sensitive U.S. military equipment in Afghanistan. Were these weapons “seized” — or delivered?

The photos, which were published on social media on Saturday, show an American portable rocket launcher, radio, grenades and other gear not commonly used by Afghan troops, as well as close-up views of identification cards for U.S. army soldier.

The American soldier whose identification was pictured, U.S. Army Specialist Ryan Jay Larson, was not captured by ISIS, Brigadier General Charlie Cleveland told on Sunday.

“Obviously, SPC Larson is not captured – he is accounted for and with his unit despite having lost his ID card and possibly some of his equipment during recent operations,” Cleveland said in an email. “Beyond that, there is a lot of equipment in those pictures. At this point, we don’t know if all of the equipment in the pictures was lost during recent operations or at some other time in the past.”

So, if Assange is correct, we will get evidence of Clinton and the Obama Administration’s dirty crimes and this could begame over for both of them. WikiLeaks needs to release these emails ASAP.

Ethiopian protesters have clashed with police in northwestern Ethiopia leaving scores of people dead on Friday.

Police arrested demonstrators during massive rallies in the capital, Addis Ababa. The protests stem from alleged human rights abuses, and from last November’s government plan to expand the capital into Oromia. The plan lead many residents of the Oromo ethnic group to fear being displaced by their government.

The plan was ceased but the protest continued to highlight other issues throughout the country.

A strict ban of protests is now in effect in the country, and social media is being blocked similar to how Turkey blocked social media to create a black out of information outside the country, silencing dissent.

Like the Arab Spring, activists have been organizing protests in the country using social media as their weapon of choice to gather support for rallies.

Despite the ban on protesting, protesters took to the streets anyway, and several arrests have been made and dozens have been killed by the local police. The protests have been ongoing for three days now beginning on Friday.

The worst violence occurred in Bahir Dar in the Amhara region, where police used tear gas and other techniques seen similarly at various protests around the world to disperse the crowd.

Local Oromo activists allege police have killed hundreds and arrested thousands of people from their community in recent months.

On July 31st, protestors staged the largest anti-government demonstration in Ethiopian history with thousands of people in Gondar, a city in Amhara region of Ethiopia.

The conflict in Ethiopia is also due to it’s diverse ethnicities that occupy the country including – Oromo, Amhara, Somali, Tigray, Sidama, Gurage. The groups were split into different sectors after 1991 when the current government overthrew the military dictatorship and established a federal constitution. States were then created based off ethnicity and spoken languages. Disputes over where regional boundaries should be set have fueled ongoing protest across the country.

Oromo are Ethiopia’s biggest ethnic group – making up about a third of Ethiopia’s people. According to a CIA census report of Ethiopia the next largest ethnic group in Ethiopia is the Amhara group. The rest of the groups make up less than 10% of the country’s population.

The Ethiopian government has been accused by human rights groups of using the anti-terror laws both to silence dissidents in the country including journalists, bloggers and protesters, and to respond to protests and events with excessive violence using whatever means to cull the citizens.

“The Ethiopia’s ruling party coalition won all 547 parliamentary seats in the 2015 elections, due in part to the lack of space for critical voices. Authorities use arbitrary arrests and politically motivated prosecutions to silence journalists, bloggers, protesters, and perceived supporters of opposition parties. Security forces respond to peaceful protests with excessive force, and detainees routinely allege torture and ill-treatment. Repressive laws restrict nongovernmental activity. The government has not adequately investigated allegations of abuses associated with its “villagization program,” or the development of sugar plantations in the Lower Omo Valley affecting 200,000 indigenous people, both of which benefitted directly or indirectly from donor assistance.”  ~ HRW.ORG, A human rights group for Ethiopia.
