Will We Have A New Mobilization of Our Economy – Like the War Mobilization, But This Time on Behalf of Development?

Yesterday. President Trump visited the famous Willow Run auto plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan calling for a  new industrial mobilization for the United States. Referring to the Arsenal of Democracy, the productive retooling of Detroit responsible for equipping the allied troops in World War II, he said:

“Seventy-five years ago, during the Second World War, thousands of American workers filled this very building to build the great new airplanes, the B-24 Liberators. At peak production –listen to this, it’s not the country we’ve been watching for the last 20 years—they were building one B-24 every single hour. We don’t hear that. We don’t hear that anymore, do we? We’ll be back soon.”
