Mueller’s Coup Plotters Panic—Their Own Crimes Stand Exposed

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—The U.S. forces serving the British effort to remove Donald Trump from office—Obama’s intelligence officers; the Obama/Clinton Democrats; and the Neocon Republicans—are beginning to panic. The chosen hitman to destroy the Trump presidency, Robert Mueller, cut his teeth as the head of the “Get LaRouche Task Force” in the 1980s, which was intended to destroy the movement founded by Lyndon LaRouche. Despite sending LaRouche and several of his associates to prison on false charges, Mueller failed to destroy that movement, and he is now paying the price for his failure. The EIR dossier, “Robert Mueller Is an Immoral Legal Assassin: He Will Do His Job If You Let Him,” has permeated the political and diplomatic institutions in the United States, prodding Congress and others into action to stop the coup, pointing directly at the British architects of the treasonous conspiracy—MI6’s Christopher Steele and others.

The effort to destroy LaRouche and the similar effort to destroy Trump are aimed at the same fundamental end—both LaRouche and Trump are intent on ending the British division of the world between East and West, which keeps the world teetering on the brink of thermonuclear war between the U.S. and Russia and China. Just as LaRouche proposed the unity of the “Four Powers” (Russia, China, India, and the U.S.) to end the British Empire and unleash global development, so President Trump is insistent on friendship and cooperation with Russia and China. As he said in his speech in Beijing: “There is much that binds the East and the West.” To British geopoliticians, those are fighting words.

But the British house of cards is crumbling. The Mueller team stands exposed as partisan warriors, their vitriolic hatred for Trump, and their slavish following of the Obama/Hillary war policy, exposed in emails from their own sordid personal lives. And, they are beginning to panic.

Joe Biden, for instance, perhaps trying to prove his subservience to the Empire in order to be chosen to be the Democratic fill-in for the failed Hillary Clinton in the next presidential election, co-authored a psychotic diatribe against Russia in the Dec. 5 issue of Foreign Affairs, the quarterly of the British imperial outpost in the U.S., the Council on Foreign Relations. Titled “How To Stand Up to the Kremlin—Defending Democracy Against Its Enemies,” Biden says the U.S. must “deter Russian military aggression,” implement thought-police to “root out Russian disinformation and subversion and find ways for authorities to cooperate with the private sector to counteract such meddling.” The evil Russians, he rants with McCarthyite passion, have “successfully fused organized criminal groups, intelligence agencies, and corrupt businesses” (sounding very much like a description of the Obama/Bush regimes in the U.S.). Trump, he adds, has refused to believe (the lie) that Russia stole the election, “even after he received briefings from top intelligence officials”—referring, of course, to the criminals Clapper, Brennan, and Comey.

Increasing calls for Mueller’s ouster are now appearing in mainstream media—the stench is too strong to continue the cover up.

Another sign of lunacy hit the floor of the Congress today, when Texas Democrat Al Green introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump. It was quickly voted off the floor, but 58 Members of Congress exposed themselves by voting with Green.

What the British fear most is that the American and European population will catch the Spirit of the New Silk Road, the New Paradigm being implemented in nearly every other part of the world through real, physical development projects being led by China and Russia. Across Africa, Ibero-America, and Asia, nations held in limbo by colonial and post-colonial controls for centuries, are being rapidly transformed towards modern industrial nations, their populations escaping from poverty, given hope, just as China has transformed itself in thirty short years. In fact, this spirit is awakening nations and citizens even in Europe and the U.S., especially in the wake of Trump’s highly successful meeting with Xi Jinping and the Chinese commitment to invest $283 billion in rebuilding the decayed American infrastructure and industrial capacity—for starters.

There is no longer any justification for tolerating the economic and cultural decay in the West. The ideas presented over the past fifty years by Lyndon LaRouche are now being implemented, taking on a physical force in the world. This is our time.

U.S. POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC

We Could Have Been Mining Helium-3 on the Moon by Now, and Still Can, Says Harrison Schmitt

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—Apollo 17 astronaut Harrison Schmitt outlined what the U.S. could have been accomplishing in space by now, if the Johnson Administration had not cut NASA’s budget and cut back production of Saturn V rockets, which decision was then confirmed by the Nixon administration. What that decision meant, New Mexico native Schmitt told the Albuquerque Journal in an interview posted Dec. 3, is that “we really gave up on deep space exploration.” “No question we would have a settlement on the Moon and would seriously have a program going to Mars, if not already there.” Journal Senior Editor Kent Walz interviewed Schmitt on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Dec. 7th launch of the final, Apollo 17 mission, which took Schmitt to the Moon.

Schmitt has been an ardent promoter of a return to the Moon (titled his book Return to the Moon), and has worked closely with scientists working on fusion energy using helium-3 fuel. There are many resources in the lunar soil, he said in the interview.

“One of those, helium-3, isn’t readily available on Earth, but it is embedded in lunar soil. It is a nearly ideal fuel for fusion.” Although we have not yet exploited this resource, which we have known about for many years, he said, “it’s still there and it’s not going anywhere.” He explained that roughly 220 pounds of helium-3 “would provide the power necessary to serve Dallas for a year…. You would have to mine a fair amount of lunar soil to produce 100 kilograms, but it’s certainly possible.”

Although Schmitt poses competition from China as an overriding geopolitical rationale for a visionary U.S. space program, he concludes that, “Settlement off the Earth can be very important philosophically into the future. And it is one way in which the human species can perpetuate itself against the very remote possibility of a very large asteroid impact on the Earth.”

Tulsi Gabbard:  U.S. Must Try Diplomacy with North Korea, not Regime Change

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—Rep. Tulsi Gabbard  (D-HI) wrote on her website yesterday that on Dec. 1, when Hawai’i began monthly “nuclear attack” warnings to the citizens, “marks a dark day for Hawai’i, for our country, and the world.”

“Today marks the first day of a new era, in which the lives and future of the people of our state have indelibly changed, as they’ll be reminded every month with nuclear warning siren tests that any moment, we, our children, our families, and our precious ‘aina [peace and harmony] will be vulnerable to a nuclear attack from North Korea—with mere minutes’ notice.

“I’ve been raising the issue of the increasing threat from North Korea ever since I came to Congress,” she said, “because the people of Hawai’i have long known that North Korea’s continued growing capabilities put us squarely within range of their ICBMs.”

Gabbard calls it a “travesty and a total failure of leadership by both Republican and Democratic administrations” over the past 40 years that “have left the people of Hawai’i and this country … under the dark cloud of a nuclear threat from this point forward.

“The only possible option to remove this dark cloud will come through the pursuit of serious diplomacy … with North Korea and Kim Jong Un; understand why he’s holding on so tightly to their nuclear weapons—it is because he sees them as his only deterrent from the U.S. coming in and trying to topple his regime.

“Kim Jong Un looks back to the U.S.’s track record, and how we overthrew Saddam Hussein in Iraq because of intelligence he had weapons of mass destruction. He sees how even after Muammar Qaddafi in Libya was promised by the U.S. that if he gave up nuclear weapons we wouldn’t go after him, we went after him anyway and took him out. He looks at [us] trying to overthrow the Syrian government of Assad … and how the Trump administration and others in Congress are increasing their rhetoric to go after Iran and overthrow the government.”

She concludes, “In order for serious negotiations to have a chance, our country must actually end our regime-change policies. This is necessary for North Korea to see that we are serious when we say we are not interested in topping their regime, and that we are serious about achieving peace, stability, and prosperity in a denuclearized Korean Peninsula.”

Biden Tries To Convince London He Could Be Their Boy in 2020

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—Joe Biden is apparently trying to convince the British, and the Democratic National Congress,  that he is the right prostitute to be their candidate in the 2020 presidential election. Biden co-authored an article in the Council on Foreign Relations’ Foreign Affairs, dated Dec. 5, called “How To Stand Up to the Kremlin—Defending Democracy against Its Enemies.” https://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/2017-12-05/how-stand-kremlin

The hysterical rant includes these choice selections:

Prepare for War: “The United States and its allies must improve their ability to deter Russian military aggression…. NATO must continue to forward-deploy troops and military capabilities to eastern Europe to deter and, if necessary, defeat a Russian attack against one of the alliance’s member states.”

Thought Police: “A starting point would be the creation of an independent, nonpartisan commission to examine Russia’s assault on American democracy, establish a common understanding of the scope and complexity of the Russian threat, and identify the tools required to combat it…. Meanwhile, journalists and activists in the United States and Europe must do more to expose and root out disinformation, especially on social media…. Social media companies such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google must provide greater transparency about who funds the political advertisements on their platforms.”

On Russia: “The Kremlin has successfully fused organized criminal groups, intelligence agencies, and corrupt businesses…. In the short term, Putin and his allies are likely to continue their assault on Western democracy. So Washington and its allies must stand firm and impose costs on Russia for its violations of international law and other countries sovereignty—those it has already committed and those it is likely planning.”

On Trump: “The White House seems unlikely to act. Too many times, President Donald Trump has equivocated on whether Russia interfered in the 2016 election, even after he received briefings from top intelligence officials on precisely how Moscow did it…. If this administration cannot or will not stand up to Russia, other democratic institutions, including Congress and civil society organizations, must mobilize…. Even if the President refuses to act, we can.”

STRATEGIC WAR DANGER

Senior UN Official Goes to North Korea for Talks

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—While the U.S. provocative Air Force exercises continue, UN Under Secretary General Jeffrey Feltman is in Pyongyang for four days of talks on “issues of mutual concern” with top North Korean officials, including Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, Vice Minister Pak Myong Guk, diplomats, and UN staff in the country. The UN said Feltman, who arrived yesterday, is visiting in response to “a long-standing invitation from the authorities in Pyongyang for a policy dialogue with the UN,” reports the German Deutsche Welle news service.

Feltman was a leading official in the U.S. State Department from 2009-12, before moving to the UN. Although not representing the U.S. on this mission, it could be seen playing a role in the very active diplomacy now going on behind the scenes between Russia, China, South Korea, North Korea and the Trump Administration.

The Chinese are praising Feltman’s visit to North Korea. China is pleased the United Nations is playing a constructive role in trying to push forward a resolution of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said on Dec. 5.

Before going on to Pyongyang, Feltman had exchanged views regarding UN affairs and other issues of common concern with Vice-Foreign Minister Li Baodong in Beijing. Chinese experts said Feltman’s visit is “necessary and constructive” to ease heightening tensions on the peninsula, and it will help magnify the UN’s role in resolving the peninsula’s nuclear issue as an international organization, reported the China Daily.

Zeusians Have Russia Iced Out of 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—In another act of insane Russophobia, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has banned Russia’s team from the 2018 Winter Olympic Games on the claim that the Russian government has backed doping. Only “clean” players can participate as independents, but the Russian flags and Russian anthems can not be used.

The acting Secretary of the United Russia party’s General Council, Andrey Turchak, responded, “Banning the Russian Olympic team from the PyeongChang Olympics is a murder, discreditation of the entire Olympic movement and its principles.” Turchak called the current situation unprecedented, when “a whole country, the athletes of which won first place numerous times and set world records contributing to development of the Olympic movement, has been groundlessly deprived of the opportunity to perform under the Russian banner.”

Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia is going to contact the International Olympic Committee over the decision. “In any case, we are to get answers to a number of questions. Contacts with the IOC will be required for this.”

Sputnik issued a report on the primary source for the Olympic Committee attacks on the Russians over the last several years—the former head of the Russian Anti-Doping Center, Grigori Rodchenkov. Rodchenkov was diagnosed with a psychological disorder after a botched suicide attempt in 2011. He was being investigated by the Russian law enforcement authorities after his sister had been arrested for selling performance-enhancing drugs. When he attempted suicide, he was saved by paramedics and sent to a psychiatric hospital, where he was apparently diagnosed with a schizotypal personality disorder and placed under medical supervision, Sputnik reports.

Following his suicide attempt and treatment, the charges against Rodchenkov were dropped, whereupon he fled to the U.S. in November 2015 and began his campaign to destroy Russian sports.

THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER

Ghana’s President Tells Macron, Africa Is Done Begging from Europe, We Will Stand on Our Own

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—The fierce statement of Africa’s ability to become a continent of developed nations made by Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo in his joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron Nov. 30, has reportedly “gone viral” among young Africans. Macron was asked by a journalist if France was going to “strengthen” aid to African countries which are not former French colonies, as Ghana is not. Macron spouted rhetoric about “a stronger partnership between Africa and Europe,” but President Akufo-Addo would have none of it. Demonstrating the new confidence which Africa’s participation in China’s Belt and Road Initiative has empowered, Akufo-Addo gave a lesson in independence which reduced Macron to squirming at his podium.

“We can no longer continue to make policy for ourselves and our country and our region and our continent on the basis of whatever support the Western world or France or the European Union can give us. It will not work. It has not worked and it will not work,” President Akufo-Addo stated.

“Our responsibility is to chart a path which is about how we can develop our nations ourselves. It is not right for a country like Ghana, 60 years after independence, to still have its health and education budgets being financed on the basis of the generosity and charity of European tax payers….

“This continent, with all that has happened, is still today the repository of at least 30% of the most important minerals of the world. It is the continent of vast arable and fertile lands. It has the youngest population of any of the continents in the world. So it has the energy and the dynamism, where seaman—these young men, who are showing so much resilience and ingenuity in crossing the Sahara, finding ways to go across with rickety  boats across the Mediterranean…. We want to have those energies working inside our countries. And we are going to have these energies working in our countries, if we begin to build systems that tell the young people of our country that their hopes, their opportunity are right here with us…. We want young Africans to stay in Africa! [Applause]….

“Our main responsibility as leaders and as citizens is what we need to do to grow our own countries…. Our concern should be with what do we need to do in this 21st century, to move Africa away from being cap-in-hand and begging for aid, for charity, for handouts. The African continent, when you look at its resources, should be giving monies to other places. We have huge wealth on this continent, and in our own country of Ghana. And we need to have a mindset that says ‘We can do it. Others have done it; we can also do it.’…

“If we change … that mindset that is contingent on aid and charity, we would see, that in the decades ahead of us, the full flowering of the African peoples will take place. And that new African personality, that was talked about at the time of independence, will become real and immanent in our time.”

It is precisely to provide such African leaders the needed scientific tools and physical economic concepts required to fulfill that intent, that the Schiller Institute just released its 250-page Special Report, “Extending the New Silk Road to Southwest Africa and Africa. A Vision of an Economic Renaissance.”

ITER Director-General Is Lobbying the White House for Increased Fusion Funding

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—ITER Director-General Bernard Bigot is appealing to President Trump to increase U.S. fusion funding so that the U.S. can meet its commitments to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). Bigot is in Washington, Reuters reports, to talk with the Administration about the budget. He is explaining that the 2017 U.S. ITER budget was cut from a planned $105 million to $50 million, and that the Administration’s FY18 request, at $63 million, is a cut from the previously planned level of $120 million. In fact, the higher numbers are each tens of millions of dollars less than what is needed to meet U.S. hardware contributions to building the ITER tokamak, which needs minimally $150 million per year.

Bigot said that French President Emmanuel Macron wrote a letter to Trump in August asking his administration to reconsider the fusion funding level. ITER is being built in France.

“We hope for a decision this weekend,” Bigot said. He explained that when Trump cut the Energy Department’s budget, the department reduced the funding for ITER.

Today, ITER released a statement by Bigot on the progress of the project. ITER has reached the milestone of completing 50% of the total construction work, Bigot reports. The statement summarizes ITER’s status, and then the Director-General says: “Looking ahead, we will need the commitment and support of every member to maintain this performance…. A shortfall in the commitment of any member, if it impacts the delivery of that member’s components, will have a cascading effect in delays and costs to all other members.”

Putin Announces He Will Run for a Fourth Term as President

Dec. 6 (EIRNS)—Russian President Vladimir Putin announced today that he is running for a fourth term as President of Russia. A victory in the March 18, 2018 election would extend his Presidency to 2024.

The Moscow Times says that Putin has dominated politics since first becoming President in 2000, and is practically guaranteed to win. A September poll by the independent Levada Center put his approval ratings at 83%.

The elections on March 18 are timed to coincide with the anniversary of Russia’s annexation of Crimea from Ukraine, which the Moscow Times says largely consolidated Putin’s popularity at home.

Putin made the announcement at an event in honor of the 85th anniversary of the Gorky car factory GAZ, in Nizhny Novgorod. “There’s probably no better occasion or place to make this announcement.” Putin said, “Yes, I will run for the President of the Russian Federation…. Russia will move only ahead and in this advance nothing and nobody will stop it. Certainly, the foundation is always laid by people like you, the toilers in the broadest meaning of the word, comprising workers, scientists, engineers, designers, teachers and doctors,” he emphasized, and saying such people “are not just the backbone of our country, but they are our country, they are Russia. With active participation of people like you, we will solve any, even the most challenging, tasks we face,” he told the rally.

Earlier on Wednesday, Putin was asked by a presenter at an event in Moscow celebrating volunteer work whether he would seek re-election in March. He replied, “My question to you is: If I take such a decision, then will you, and people like you, support this decision?” The audience then erupted in cheers, to which Putin responded, “This decision will be taken soon, and when I make it, I’ll keep in mind this conversation and your response.”
