US Federal Bureau of Investigation Director said that coordinated terrorist attacks in Paris last month that killed 130 people were planned in Syria.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The coordinated terrorist attacks in Paris last month that killed 130 people were planned in Syria, US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey said on Wednesday.

“Yes,” Comey said in response to a query by US Senator Lindsay Graham if the terror attacks in Paris were organized from Syria.

On November 13, terrorists attacked six venues in Paris killing 130 and injuring more than 350 people. The Daesh, also known as ISIL/The Islamic State, claimed responsibility for the attack.

On Wednesday, French media confirmed that a perpetrator in the attacks was identified by investigators as Foued Mohamed-Aggad, a 23-year-old resident of Meinau, a district of Strasbourg. Aggad traveled to Syria in late 2013 along with his older brother Karim and eight other Meinau residents.

Aggad is the third perpetrator to be identified by the forensics team. Two others were identified earlier as Samy Amimour, who had fought in Yemen, and Omar Ismail Mostefai, who fought in Syria in 2013. Both were residents of Paris.
